@brandonness373 did you mean "bolts"? I was talking about the flash tune at 3:30. I bought the flywheel bolts from LS4 Fibers. The new thrust washer and Lock washer come from the oem section of Rockymountainatvmc.com or motosport.com.
Awesome video on your parts installs. I guess I can't believe how you can just ride from your house to the trails? Its all public riding? Are there AirBnB there that I can just stay at and go ride?? lol
Nobody better then BNR when it comes to the Yfz platform I've been building this platfrom since 2012 and then been the best help they really know these machines
She sounds great now! Rich is always better then lean. My 24 Raptor stock is much hotter on my right leg than my tuned 2020 was. No water this year, unless it's hot then maybe.... 😅
Yoshi used to make an ECU (they called it PIM) and a data box for tuning. It had an oxygen sensor on the pipe (you needed to weld in a bung) and it would instantly correct for fuel. You just set your target AF ratio and it does the rest. I put it on my LTR and man what a difference a perfectly tuned map makes. And if you change a part--say a filter, cam, etc.--it instantly corrects for it. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore.
I have a 04trx as well, I took to a mechanics local to Yuma and got it back smoking. Did a compression test and came back at 165 within spec. Any idea? It’s a white smoke
dude most of the people who would give you crap about Alba flashing your ECU chances are dont even race or ride more than 1 time a year . i did the TPS trick on mine also . im glad you turned that noisy rattling ass piece of crap off so we could enjoy the view 🤣🤣 RP is the best 🤟🤟ive got RP exhaust , stainless intake and stainless oil can .
Gotta ask, because as you know I went straight to Vortex.... when you get the stock ECU flashed, can they or do they delete the Fuel Pump Relay and the Tip over sensor (AKA Lean angle sensor as Yamaha calls it) The reason I'm asking, is John Sousa is the one who told me to have Ryan at BNR delete the Fuel Pump Relay in the Vortex programming so you never have to worry about that failing because it happens often. Also, Sheldon is the one who learned the hard way about the Tip over sensor (located in the back under your tail light) due to him hitting jumps and doing his little tilt tweak to show off in mid air. If that thing fails or triggers while you're in air and shuts off your motor...... it become a bad day quickly!! So when I got my new Vortex after our road trip together where I ruined mine, I had Ryan delete those two things in my Vortex. I was curious if Alba (or anyone else) can do that to the stock ECU?
Actually, I don't know if they do or not. I've thrown some "flair" / "whips" on stock YFZ's and not had that happen yet. For ease of tuning, I may end up purchasing an aftermarket ECU at some point.
One more quick tip...... that I learned from John. Take out your fuel pump and solder the connectors!!! Especially since you're riding rough terrain in the desert. He had it happen to him and made a video about it. So I did it immediate when I bought a new fuel pump (for no reason) The wires have female connectors and plug onto the male connectors and can come loose or even off mid race or ride. So solder them on so it doesn't happen! Message John and he can tell you exactly what to do. He has a video on it if you need reference help.
25:13 "No Motorized vehicles" - Sounds just like NJ! 🤣
love your backyard of trails, sport quad heaven!
@leedimatteo5078 it's endless fun, man 🤙🏻
Heck yeah man, that much riding close to your house is awesome! Good to see you getting the yfz dialed in 😎
Heck yeah this thing is a lot different than it was last I saw it lol love it man cant wait to see it ripping the dunes live!
@@JacksonOffroad25 you and me both 🤘🏼
how did i miss this one!
Where would I find “these blots” at 3:30. The bigger washer and the new lock washer?

Cool to see you on a Yamaha. Sounds like you're enjoying it so far. I'm jealous I'm not out riding. I broke 5 ribs in a race up in Page last weekend.
@@CodyRaue oof. Heal up, man!

Actually, there are plenty of Air BnB's out here.
And yes, it's public lands/BLM land. Just require an OHV sticker and you're good to go 🤙🏻
Thanks, it looks like it would be worth a trip one day. Very cool

I've been seeing more and more about BNR. They seem to have the YFZ figured out and pretty dialed in.

Illinois Powersports, prob way to far away tho.

@@vintagetrikesandquads4012 I've heard rumors that PEP is developing one, and Hetrick has been working with another company on a new ecu.

It's great "preventive maintenance"
Have you done any adjustments to the suspension yet or whats your thoughts on it? I get arm pump quick in glamis crossing the damn sxs tracks
Of course you mentioned suspension adjustment before I asked this.. lol.. would you run your current adjustment in glamis?
@Bumpertrash1 I would. It has alot of support, but I think I would soften the low-speed compression more for those rut crosssings.
Where is that nice trail located
That is next to the Yuma Foothills.
Not going to hold it against ya about your job getting in the way of filming.. thanks for your service
@Bumpertrash1 thank you, Chris. 🤘🏼
Ill see you in glamis...
You can do that to mine 😂..
Oh.. take that rubber piece off the airbox lid. @movalmotorsports said that'll come loose and block air
Thankful Yamaha still makes a 450 machine sad Honda doesn’t 👎🏼
