Everybody was complaining about his voice? I imagine he was sick and no way to cancel tour. This sounds pretty good. Singing in a low range can be as stressful to your voice as singing in a high range.
For me it was the first time I saw that band live, so I don't have a good base for comparison. It's definitely not like in the 80's, for sure, but was still pretty cool gig and sounded quite well.
Sometimes he gets a bit buried in the mix, but he still sounds great to my ears.
