Nice job Rich, i think everyone should take a moment to admire how Rich can find all the nuts and bolts and know where they go after all the time since the last video haha
The ol' Sentimental Silverado!! Can't help but feel sentimental about a truck or vehicle that got you from one stage of your life to another. Nice work Rich!
You always amaze me with your knowledge and your memory of all the plans. Damn, just the technical knowledge is awesome. That’s one of the reasons I like your channel telling us what you’re doing and the Timelapse it so we technically get more in each video.
Keep Pumping on these builds.... Brother I'm using your videos as motivation to start my own E350 4x4 Cummins , manual NV4500, Gear Vendors, & 205 transfer case project.... I have a lot of parts but still looking for a rust free van to start with...
I put one of those tappet covers on my 12v and ran the lines to a vented catch can. Because that tappet cover doesn’t have the steel wool baffle in it oil would fill the catch can so often I got one of those valve cover breathers and now I don’t have to drain the catch can but maybe once a year.
The planned routing for the compressor cooling line is not going to work as expected. You can run everything as you described except the return from the heater core to the back of the head. That would not flow much water until the thermostat opens to allow water to leave the block. The stock location dodge used (I know this was a bus, but it was likely similar) was to return the heater core to the elbow that the top radiator hose connects to which provides an unrestricted circuit for the water to flow before the thermostat opens. The Cummins has also always had flow issues at the back of the engine and giving it the path might not work even after the thermostat opens as the water from the block might be capable of matching the flow from that heater bypass line stalling out any flow in the direction you're want the water to take.
Very good job. You built a ford truck the way ford should have built it. Now youre building a chev truck the way gm should have done it all along! Great building Rich! 💪
me and justin went to school together and were friends as well good guy and knows what hes doing. i remember he built his truck from the ground up at like 16 or so yrs old
Tip: If you save old burned out hole saws, or know a carpenter. You can grind the dull teeth off and sharpen it to cut large holes in gasket material or softer materials! WD40 will help prevent it grabbing sticky or super-soft materials. Even a el'cheapo kit from amazon and just do it to cheap new ones. $16CAD\10USD..
I put a 4" first gen dodge downpipe in my 92 chevy cummins swap, fits great. Not sure if it will help you or not but just a thought. Thank you, love the channel, long time follower
@deboss. Have you seen the tundra rear electric window mod? I would love to see you do something like this on this truck. It would be done cheaply if you get it from the junkyard. Would love to see someone do a in depth video on this.
Never really liked the rear window as all the air comes from the back window so anything in the bed gets blown into the cab. Might be a good truck for it though as I won't be putting garbage and straw in the back I guess!
What are you using/doing for a vent can? Because I wanted to put one on my LML to limit the amount of oil going into my intake but everyone online says it is a restriction and eventually starts blowing out seals.
How come you don’t do good swaps Like peg from zip ties? HahahahHh??? All jk aside you make them look factory brother. Dam good job dam good .! I don’t like Chevy but I know this was a truck that got you to were you are. (Behind the scenes) kepp jamming man !
Great wrk, ya an artist my friend. Side note I feel like the back of your throat always stays dry. The deep breaths.. I feel like u need a water or to take a breather an swallow. Love ya
Because a quite exhaust does nothing to reduce the rattle of an older diesel engine. The sound deadning also works to block extra heat from getting into the cab and helps block alot of road noise and rattles
Digital media is dog shit cause at least with cable TV there was legit laws on volume ... normally youtube asshats are too loud but I think your videos are now way too low .. might be my tv but I really wish they just averaged out yalls volumes

I’m always amazed.
The rest of us have to use labeled zip lock baggies taped to the part
30mins here and there goes a long way... but for some, it takes 15-20 to figure out where they are up to.

Watching you build that engine with Al from The Skid Factory. Was one of my favourite TH-cam Collaborations. Been watching you both for years.
@@Brockblockaa Me too. I’ve been rewatching old The Skid Factory episodes lately like watching Gillian’s Island reruns. I miss hearing Al’s wisdom.

Awesome to see you back at this project. Projects like this built the channel!
If this wouldn't have been sitting in the shop in the background all these years, I would have forgotten about it.
Love it. Keep it up Rich.
You definitely know how to keep busy Rich! Nice progress.
God I love the opening about the truck wanting a bus engine
Love how it’s coming alone! Can’t wait to see what else you do to it!
Keep Pumping on these builds....

Thanks for the update - looks great
Awesome, can’t wait to see you drive it.
Very nice work, man ! As you said, better than new !
good job!
Finally back on the Silverado!! I want a Smokey 2 tire burnout!!
Looking good 👍👍
Thanks for the update on the 24v P pump any though on after it's done strapping it down on a dyno to see the rwhp and Torque

That’s a wicked nice truck I need to get a truck to work on so bad
I had 2 trucks and a Camaro before I had my license. I put the two trucks together with the Camaro engine and I was hooked. No excuses!
YEEES. Here we go.
You should fluid film these projects definitely helps save them from the rot I’m I’m in mn and use it regularly definitely slows down the rot
I absolutely will, but not till it's done. Still need to wire and plumb it and I don't like getting covered in it lol
I feel like this has been going on for a decade 😂
About 1000 hours spread over that decade. It turned into a frame off restoration and that takes time
@ Not at all knocking the process. Especially with how many other projects you do at the same time!
Number one!

A dream
oh neat i thought this ended up in a junkyard or somethin with how long its been
No project of mine has ever been abandoned, but I can only work so many hours in a week

Why Did you pick a 2 Door truck and not a extracab 4 Door
Great 7 months for a 16 minute video.
Just built an entire cummins swapped Dodge Ram there quick, traveller's to 11 countries, and spent 180 hours on a plane lol
Why is this so funny.. lol, no disrespect rich.. but i giggled my ass off on this one..

When the 5.3 dies in my suburban I'm doing this
Hmm... another timelapse video like rebuild F-350? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
I drive EV, a quite ride is awesome, but if you do all that sound deadening...why not also make the exhaust quite then and not a straight pipe?
Loud pipes save lives.
2019 joker saying "you wouldn't get it"
Because loud exhaust is cool but sometimes it's nice to close the window and not hear it.
There is a muffler installed in the exhaust system
Because a quite exhaust does nothing to reduce the rattle of an older diesel engine. The sound deadning also works to block extra heat from getting into the cab and helps block alot of road noise and rattles
