You guys really should begin to chronicle the making of this game via recording if you haven't yet. . I watched Sam's interviews back before the Kickstarter even began. I saw how he went to school and trained to be a wrestler, knew Drew McIntyre, yet ultimately ended up going a different path because life happens. It's worth recording this process because when it's all said and done, though Sam does indeed have a team working w/ him who he wouldn't be able to do this w/ out, he's gonna go down as the guy who was the catalyst for building a modern day wrestling game, built upon what is unarguably the greatest wrestling game engine/game to ever be created. And that, though it's not here yet, is to build build upon the tradition of wrestling itself. When this is all said and done the wrestling community as a whole is going to owe all you guys who are working on this game a great deal of gratitude. But Sam is going to deserve a standing "THANK-YOU-SAM!" Because his hard work, in the end, is going to get him exactly what he set out for it to do when he first trained to be a wrestler. ''Over" w/ the fans, and possibly even over w/ the boys. You guys are making history, and that story needs to be chronicled ,because it needs to be told. Because it's an inspirational story, and that's what made us all wrestling fans in the first place, when we tuned in to see if Hogan, Hart, Austin, Rock could overcome the proverbial odds. "The World Wrestling Federation" was the "revolutionary force in sports entertainment". I hope Sam and his team become the equivalent of that in the sports entertainment gaming industry. Because even now you guys have gone farther than anyone else ever has in recapturing the magic of those old THQ/AKI games. Therefore there will be only one squad/crew/faction even considered worthy to hear a "YOU-DESERVE-IT!" And I know we're not to WM yet, and right now we're still fantasy booking, but I do want to let you know, I see the vision. Proud of you guys. This is what being a wrestling fan is all about. Fandom and community and reaching across continents for the love of professional wrestling. "It's still real to me damnit" Btw, would definitely pay at least 7 American dollars for "heel version" of @StillRealDave DLC character your peer and fan - Christian Edwards

Really like the quivering after the character gets hit with a powerful move. I hope its not just an animation glitch and you implement this as a feature, maybe after enough damage has been done to a wrestler - like a visual cue that wrestler is on the verge of being defeated - or on more devastating moves/signatures/finishers. Hoping the game will also feature other cues like exhausted/hurting idle and walking animations (the dazed animation on Fire Pro Wrestling for an example, was amazing looked like a Finish Him moment) and 'going limp on the ground' animations along with the quivering.

I'm very excited. I will say, one piece of constructive criticism, I hope the move animation's are slightly faster in the actual game. The just look a little slow here, but that could just be my brain playing tricks.
IF YOU GOT A SEC READ... I beg for any wrestling company to make a online universe mode kinda like Madden online franchise but instead of picking teams we get to pick a wrestler or your caw. The player that sets up the online universe mode would be able to either be the GM or be just a wrestler with some type of basic cpu ai being the GM and I'd take that basic ai idea and look no further then the first Smackdown for playstation or Raw 2 for xbox and how they had the matches setup though I'd probably make the cpu a little more up to date, I would imagine time period difference in games wouldn't hurt the budget too bad either for just the cpu programming for back then vs now. I'd like to see in say a ULTRA PRO WRESTLING 2 ...online universe mode to mix in online GM mode with competitive brands trying to beat one another and again you can be the GM or just a wrestler trying to put on the best match to build your popularity and the shows. As for the people that join they can either join as a GM of a brand in one of the say 3-4 slots for GM or be a wrestler within a brand. You would compete for multiple titles with choosing to enter that ranking system within your brand you can have a forbidden door type of show as a PLE think like Fire Pro wrestling...This whole concept would bring a huge following from the all online wrestling communities.
Hello Ultra pro wrestling, can I ask you that in the DLC you can put TNA stars, I know that Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin are already there, but you can put Rockstar Spud, James Storm and Shannon Moore and I want to say that I no longer expect to see the finished game.
I would like to see gameplay speed adjustable as an option like fire pro if possible. I think the n64 style move speed might be little slow in 2024, if possible speed that up or give us an option to if it’s possible with this game. I’d take that over any dlc. I’m all for retro but even back then we wanted it to be a little faster.
It will be interesting when the game does come out and someone make a complete list of all the Fake Wrestlers in the game and who all there "Real" life counterparts are.

At this point, they're doing what they should be doing, building interest with the diehard people. When it's further along, and more fleshed out, then they can advertise more. They’re gonna have gameplay demo footage at 3rd quarter probably by end of September, hope they show different characters this time and don’t be surprised if the release gets pushed to December 2025 😅

it is possible to add this functionality. basically whenever they hit the mat a couple of invisible spears fly from the middle of the ring to the outside, i guess if we set the spheres starting position to match the mid point between the wrestlers then it would have a greater effect on the ropes closest to them
Yes, they're using the moves from all the original AKI games as base moves, but say they will be continually adding moves to the game after release. They're already working on new moves that weren't in the AKI games so people should be able to make fairly up to date move sets.
@orionassante3386 I think that with the way the timeline will expand into the 90s and beyond, more and more modern moves will be added. The great thing about this is it's not gonna reset every year, and you lose everything. Its gonna evolve over, hopefully a long, long time.
Oh there will be & just looking at the wrestlers on the 2 DLC packages, there's going to be a LOT... Plus on the game's roster there's a series of Lucha Libre based characters so there's a lot of new moves that can be added for them, right now it's rebuilding the AKI base moves we've seen in the WCW or WWF Nintendo games. So excited for this. It couldn't come soon enough. Not touched a wrestling game since Smackdown vs Raw 2009 (or whatever the last PlayStation 2 release was). Looking at all the modern games, they've distanced themselves from what everyone loved to rinse & repeat the same thing. No longevity if your basically scrapping something you have to pay £50-£60 for (Pre-order or DLC excluded).
No July was never said. we announced the demo for Q3 which takes us up until September. we are trying to get it done as fast as we can but being a small studio its very difficult.
Let me tell you why that would ruin the game. They would have to cut back and limit things like how much the game can handle, meanung less gameplay mechanics, less graphical power, and less data/space to contain the vision they are looking for Mdickie games for an example looks blocky, and have mobile game features that separates it from looking and playing like an actual triple A title. Notice facial features, movement, and graphical looks compared to this. PC and Console games plays, look, and feels more appealing than mobile shared games which would have a draw back

Sam is aiming for PS5, PC, and current consoles You still don't understand that with this game, UPW the creation is as big as the space left on your device. You do not see a current Gen game with its max power on Google Play Store. You would find games with limitations like Mortal Kombat 11 on the playstore doesn't play the same as Mortal kombat 11 on the console Your reasoning still remains as the problem. Those games do not run or look the same and had to be chopped down for it to hit the play store. If you tell me those games run and play the exact same smoothly with upcoming updates, that would be a lie. It takes mobile gaming to wait for technology to advance to take the lesser tech to be even played or optimized. Mobile should be the last thing to think about, especially in these stages. That would ruin the game entirely

Will there be any new moves?Different added moves that are not in the AKI engine games. These are sweet but have literally seen them all.
