as soon as i opened the box i was SO overwhelmed! Ive had my brother sewing machine for 15 years and it has 2 dials, no screen, and 2 stitch types (straight and zig zag). i almost started panicking unboxing this new one...then I sat and watched this video and O M G so helpful!!! made me excited to get started and learn all about the cool things it has to offer! thank you!!

I’m a sewist and my husband gifted me an SE700 for Christmas. I’ve never embroidered before, but I just walked through your videos on setup for sewing and embroider, and my first tests were perfect. Hubby thinks I’m a genius now.😂. Thank you sew much…keep doing what you do!

I cant believe how helpful this is - you have a gift for teaching! I saw your previous video on this model, went out and got one, and was literally sewing and embroidering an hour later with your comprehensive instructions. I'm 55 and have not sewn since 6th grade!!! A million thank yous!

I purchased this machine and love your videos on how to get started. Will you be doing any more videos with this machine? Projects? Still feeling a little lost… Maybe a bag/tote/clothing item… with embroidery…

Hi! Thank you for this video! I just got this machine to add to my collection so that I can add some flair to my costuming store, The Goddesses' Garb and Wardrobe on Ebay and Etsy. I am new to embroidery machines, and you do a great job on going slow and explaining step by step instructions. Thank you so much. Far better than other TH-cam videos where they just "DO" and got too fast!

Also, do you have one on how to use this as a regular sewing Machine? I'm good with tech, but always had manual machines. Thanks!

What kind of stabilizer do you need? I just went into Joann’s and there’s so many kinds. This is my first try and the lady there said I needed to know what kind to buy

Depends on your project. I started with a roll of tearaway and used it for everything even though it wasn't the best stabilizer for everything. It's good to have a cutaway, a mesh, a dissolve away and some topper. There are stabilizer samples with recommendations. DIME makes a great stabilizer guide that we sell at the store.

Yes Artspira you mentioned, I figured this out on my own, it is quite a complex start up process by signing up, finding your pin, etc. - but rewarding that you can upload your dst files Wifi from your Mac into the app from your iPhone cloud "Files" folder icon app

Did you change the needle to an embroidery needle or do you leave the one it came with ?

Marjorie, the machine comes with a universal needle. You can use that or you can change out to an embroidery needle. We use the Organ 75/11 Antiglue needles in our store

The little secret that I use is use a penny instead of the screwdriver that comes with the machine.
