Stormy knows she's a star and has no idea why you don't want her in every shot. 😂 You really captured the essence of the hallway from the movie, and the finished bench is perfection! Fabulous work, as always!
That room is very well made! I always enjoy watching people build things like this and all the work that goes into it, also your dog Stormy is adorable 💕 best of luck with the rest of your Beetlejuice project!
This hallway is incredible. I have trouble doing straight lines to do a flat floor and here you go with all kinds of weird angles. I am in awe. Loving your daughters quote and the bench.

In case anyone wondered, I did not paint or detail the Monopoly houses I sent in order to allow Ara to do that herself. Originally, I was just going to send her the houses and say, "There you go." However, I couldn't resist kit-bashing a few to see what was possible. I have never worked in 1:1000 scale (or whatever the Monopoly pieces are). I ended up with houses having: Two stories, split-levels, additions, attached garages, porches, etc. The house (hotel) with the large door cut into one end is supposed to be a barn (needs doors). These buildings can be used as "filler" among the trees along side the road, with the more detailed, scratch-built houses taking center stage in the town. There were many more Monopoly pieces remaining unused for Ara to experiment with or use in other projects. How about a dollhouse (1:000 scale), inside a dollhouse's dollhouse (1:144 scale), inside a dollhouse (1:12 scale)? Enjoy.
@@janpayton6671 Good, glad to hear it! The Monopoly pieces will give you a sturdy, basic "house" shape that you can add different siding, windows, or roofing materials to and completely transform it. From what I saw so far, the town is going to look very good, even in such a very tiny scale.
I just loved your idea!! Sorry I didn't explain your intent a bit more. I will definitely be painting a few of them😊 I was amazed by how many different combinations you can up with just by using the 2 styles of houses! Thank you for sending them in!

Holy moly! That hallway is amazing! It really does look like you could walk right down to the 6th door on the left. Also those mini mini builds are so cool!

Everything works to create your forced perspective and makes you want to see what is around the corner . All the houses you showed are so creative and nice 😊 Stormy was entertaining and brought a smile to my face. Thanks for taking us on this journey it’s highlight of my week!
Not sure if anyones suggested something already, but In my sculpture class we used foam like this an my Professor taught us a great way to make them a shell. If you mix some joint compound and Elmer's white glue you can smooth it onto the foam and let it dry to create a shell. I recommend about 3 coats of it, you kinda have to mess around with ratios but if you get it right and sand between you can get a beautiful smooth finish that loves paint.
Work them muscles, Ara! Stormy will help (direct) you...lol! You had me going thru Hardware Paint Department Sales Associate deja vu at the beginning. The bench looks really great. You progressed so much on this room. It looks amazing. and you're getting quite handy with the airbrush, too. Can't wait to see the sand worm. Everybody that sent in houses did a fabulous job and they are so much fun! I'm making mine so I'm happy you reassured me about the size and style. See you on the next!
you can use regular whitee acrylic paint instead of the modpodge to seal tapeedges. After drying the tape can easily be removed without the extra breaking the seal. I love this project so much. Greetings from Germany!
To eliminate brush strokes the brush does matter, a very densely packed brush will help. I like natural but synthetic should work fine. If you use Mod Podge it’s very thick and that contributes to the texture. You could add some water to thin it, and apply thin coats. Use very fine steel wool in between to sand away any lines then wipe clean. I use a different sealer and add water to use through my spray gun. But I work on furniture so flaws are more noticeable. Wax is a great alternative especially on your furniture pieces. I use an all natural, no fumes wax. After 30 days it has cured and does not budge! You can decide how shiny you want it when buffing. You can also tint the wax by adding a bit of paint, it’s great to be able to custom make your own coloured wax. Make sure it’s non yellowing. You don’t have to wait 30 days, it’s ok to touch it after 24 hrs but it does take a full 30 to cure. You can also wax over the sealer but not the other way around.
The hallway looks amazing so far, can't wait to see the finished version! Also love the idea of the little jailcell, maybe put a chain around the neck of the sandworm?
Hey! Instead of modge pod you could use the base paint color to block these edges so it turns a bit more clean! I always do it while painting and it seems to work really well and after peeling the tape it is always really clean!
Instead of the “Modpodge” trick just paint the color of paint that is underneath the tape, in your case white, then airbrush your black paint, as you pull the tape off do so at an angle away from the painted edge to keep from lifting the paint you want to stay down! If your happy working the way you finished, if it works for you that is what matters most! This is a fantastic build! You are truly an Artist in so many different disciplines! Thank you for sharing this amazing build.
@@BentleyHouseMinis well yes ModPodge is basically glue! With paint you are using the same medium and I have had much better luck every time I have used it! Good luck and Happy Constructions!
I’m super behind! This hallway is fantastic! When I’ve painted with frog tape I didn’t need to seal the edges with anything, but I was using thicker paint. The other thing is to remove the tape before your paint is dry so the paint can’t peel. I’m not sure if that would be possible in this tight space. If so, I’d still start from the back. Anywaysssssss I’m sure you’ve found or will find what’s best for you. Again, super amazing hallway!! Your projects are always so creative and impressive!
Incredible! The floor alone would’ve driven me crazy.
It was definitely a task lol! So glad you liked it!

Thank you so much Durelle!😊
OMG it's looking soooooo good!!! I've been busy with grad school so i've purposely saved watching all the Beetlejuice episodes, and today I'm binging!
Aww yay!! So glad you are enjoying the videos! I hope grad school is going well for you!
It's amazing! 👏🏻 This house is going to be another of my favourites. Well done Ara!
Thanks so much 😊
I am super excited to follow your process. Thank u
I love your channel! It gives me the same feeling of nostalgia as when I watch an episode of Are You Afraid Of The Dark or Goosebumps.

You always amaze me. It's coming along great.
Wow! It looks amazing.
It turned out so great!
The hallway looks amazing so far, can't wait to see the finished version! Also love the idea of the little jailcell, maybe put a chain around the neck of the sandworm?
Thank you!! I might just do that!
LMAO, your dog at 0:57. So cute and funny. They just want all the attention, lol
This is amazing… I can’t wait for more videos!!!
I am loving what you are doing .❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!
That looks great. It's one thing to make straight lines and have them work out. But that hallway is crazy. Good going.
Its looking awesome!
This is seriously stunning Ara!
Thank you!
Hey! Instead of modge pod you could use the base paint color to block these edges so it turns a bit more clean! I always do it while painting and it seems to work really well and after peeling the tape it is always really clean!
phenomenal
Excellent as always.love your work.
I am definitely trying that next time because the mod podges was annoying lol! Thanks!
@@BentleyHouseMinis well yes ModPodge is basically glue! With paint you are using the same medium and I have had much better luck every time I have used it! Good luck and Happy Constructions!
Looks great 👍
Looks Great! It was a lot of work but you really captured the essence of the hallway. I can't wait to see next week's video.
So excited to see another of your video's!
Yay! Thank you!
You did a crazy amazing job
you are brilliant. I love this.
So awesome 😮😎👍👍👍👍👍
