This is one of the best instructional videos I have seen. Thank you for taking the extra time to explain each step. I am an experienced sewer and enjoyed your video very much. Any beginning sewer could easily make this project using your instructions. Great job!!
Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate it. I do try and always make sure the tutorial is easy to follow, because sewing things is fun. Thank you again, I am so glad you like it. 😊
Nice pattern, but a couple of suggestions: trim the batting at the seams; it's too bulky. It could be graded for ease of turning as well as topstitching. Use a walking foot and a larger needle, such as denim or topstitch, as you'll be sewing through multiple layers. Thanks for listening!
This was the best tutorial that have seen on making this cozy. Do you have a tutorial for an 8 x 8 ? It was so easy to follow and I will enjoy making it for my daugther. I live by myself and really need a smaller cozy for a smaller glass did that I use all the time which is 8 x 8. Thank you so much
Hi Judy, thank you so much. The 8 x 8 size is still in progress. The tutorial and pattern are probably ready in about two or three weeks. But I hope it can be ready sooner though.
Very Nice! You're a great teacher! Ive nade viwl cozies, so this should ve easier, since it's larger. You did a great job explaining it! Thank you for sharing the pattern with us! 💜
Hi Ina, thanks for the casserole dish cozy. Think I may try the full fat quarter length of 22 inches and leaving the tab ends open til I see if they cover the dish handles enough. But great work. Judy in Virginia
Wonderful tutorial! I have watched another with similar style but it was WAY more complicated. Your’s is much more easier! Have you by any chance sewed feminine pads?
Thank you so much. I appreciate it. I am glad you like the tutorial. It is still on my to-do list for making the feminine pad sewing tutorial. I hope to sew it soon.
Thank you. I am glad you like the tutorial. ❤ The printed pattern is available here www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1316863652/reversible-casserole-dish-cozy-printable
Yes of course, use one layer batting and two layers of Insult Bright, put the batting in the middle between Insult Bright. So, it would be insulated for both sides of the cozy. (note: anything using Insult Bright is not microwavable)
@@sailorgirlk1 No, the cozy can not go in the oven. Whether cotton batting or Insult bright, the cozy is not for oven use. The fabric cozy is like a hot pad to keep the casserole warm when you serve it.
Tutorial is free on the video and on the blog (link is on video description). Printed pattern is on Etsy (link is also on the video description, also on the pinned comment section).
Thank you for the suggestion. I make the music as low volume as possible. Because I don't talk much on the video, only the voice for the keypoint instructions, it is going to be so very quiet if there is no music. I will find a solution to this. Thank you again. 🙂

@@CraftyForHome Thank you 🙏🙏 is free?
A bit pricey for a template. I’ll wing it
Could you also use insulbright instead of cotton batting?
Yes of course, use one layer batting and two layers of Insult Bright, put the batting in the middle between Insult Bright. So, it would be insulated for both sides of the cozy. (note: anything using Insult Bright is not microwavable)
@@CraftyForHome thanks! So can either material go in the oven?

@@CraftyForHome ok thanks for explaining that.
@@sailorgirlk1 my pleasure 😊
How deep are the sides, please and thank you!
The cozy is about 2.5" deep for a 9 x 13 casserole pan with about 2" deep.
$10.00 for this pattern????
