I'm crazy for Cozies! I have project sheets on all imaginable cozies with sizes & particulars. I never tire of the Cozy Tutorials.. Thanks again & sew on!
I like watching you I have my fabric ready so I decide to watch you again. see when I am making the bowls cozys now I see where I make a mistake . Thanks and god bless
So because you used insul bright. This can only be used for casseroles from the oven. But if you use two pieces of 100% batting then you could use it for the microwave. Thank you for your video enjoyed it. Very very helpful to me.
If you watch Nicole's other tutorials on bowl or plate cozies that go into the microwave you will see that you need to use "Cotton" batting and 100% "Cotton" fabrics as well as "Cotton" thread. It's worth having a look at them ... Nicole is such a great teacher and makes everything look easy to do. Enjoy your sewing. 😀
I did it! After a couple of failed attempts with other tutorials, I was finally able to get exactly what I wanted with yours…I wish I could send a photo, but I can’t see how. I live in Wisconsin, USA.
Love your Tutorials. You are down to earth and explain everything so simply. Even I can follow instructions!! Thanks Nicole for sharing your knowledge in such a straight forward and friendly way. ... Now .... off to the sewing machine .... going to make some casserole cozies and also your bowl and plate cozies too. Make terrific gifts. 😀😀
I’m late to the party but I had the same question. However, after watching the video several times, I noticed that when she lays the fabric down in the cutting mat, it looks as if each corner is cut 2”
Great pattern, thank you. You said to add 2". Do you add 2" for both length and width? Your casserole measured 9.5 x 12.5 so you cut your fabric 11.5 x 14.5, correct?
ok if I have the thermal one with one side fleece and the other side shiny what side go's on top got it all cut out, and i'll be using 2 thermal for it to stay warmer or should ii just use one
Excellent video...very precise! Now, how would I measure for a large round casserole? The same way and still make four corners, like your oblong cozy? Thank you.
I would measure or trace the bottom,. Measure the side depth and add that to the bottom messurerment and addva seam allowance. You may need to make a casing forva drawstring or elastic. If you are good with shapes, trace the bottom. Messure the depth and the circumfrence of the top and bottom, draw a side band, them seam will not be straight so fiddle with it till it fits. Add a seam allowance and sew the band on. Make 2 and sew them together.
I really like this ! Just have 1 question for you…. So if my dish is 9x12x2 I need to add 2” ? If yes, that means I cut my fabric to 11x14x2 ? Sorry I just want to make sure I cut my fabric correctly ! Thank you !😊
We have several in the channel this is my most popular video...th-cam.com/video/eSrbEs3dBpw/w-d-xo.html We also have a play list called the "Cozy List" than may be some help 😊 have a great day 😊❤😊
