RMA with 17 years clinical - 2.5 years oncology research and now senior clinical coordinator. I respect anyone that goes after their dream of a degree but your right. - research is ROI. Once you start learning the role and players- the game changes and the pay increases. When we hire- we look for that passion. You find the person for passion for research- the degree is negotiable.
I find it challenging to get into clinical research right now. I have a master in Public Health and I looking into entry level jobs, I feel they may not take me seriously since my last job was a lab manager. I just had a resume evaluated to attract my jobs, I hope it works.
What if you’re doing a thesis-based masters that involves running a randomized clinical trial? (i.e., you’re involved in the trial design, protocol writing, IRB submissions, data collection, and data analysis). Would that count as clinical research experience?

Honestly it hasnt helped too much for site ownership but it would help land a career or occasionally doing some assessments at the site that requires masters and higher
