Wrong: Suzuki is epic too. Basically, Japanese made engines are the way to go, if you want the best reliability. Owned a suzuki 40 and a 50 over the last 10 years: never anything wrong either.
You can't compare a 7.5 or 30 hp engine to the big boys. Yamaha builds some really nice larger engines but they all can have issues. You think Mercury is no good? Then why are they the leader in sales by a huge margin. Mercury is an innovator. Hondas are also nice but noisy as heck when opened up. Suzuki has made huge leaps in reliability and have pretty much the best pricing also, 6 year warranty to boot. I'm talking full size engines(upto 300hp), not little ponies. Suzuki is killing it in the repower market, new engines on older boats
I rented a boat with that BF 250 Vtec. You can definitely hear the vtec crossover, and man, the sound is absolutely epic ! My friends could not help bursting into laughter everytime I opened the throttle. That is one of the best sounding engines I heard !
@@stevenjalopnik1342 Honda probably sells a throttle linked for 2 outboards and then just 1 throttle for the the third. Either that or two outboards are controlled by the same throttle. Nowadays the trottles are mostly fly by wire or electrically controlled. Not sure about Honda, but most outboards have the option that you can choose between cable controlled throttled or fly by wire controlled throttles. Fly by wire are electric controlled
I had bf 250 which I changed for Evinrude G2 250 ho /it was the cheapest on the market/..... and this was my best choice in my life ! you feel as you have 100 Hp more .... and no service
Boats and VTEC were never something I thought I would hear together
Hey Maurizio & TBS team:-)
Almost 54 mph for this boat... 3x 250 Honda engines - LUV it:-)
All the very BEST.
Cheers from Vancouver Canada!!
Slow
Maurizio with the British (I think) chap's voice-over is the best!
750 fucking horsepower, 18 cylinders
honda and yamaha are the only way to go. had them for decades. had a honda 7.5 and a yamaha 30. both amazming and zero trouble over many years.

Wrong, add Tohatsu. They are epic. Big Tohatsu are Hondas and little Hondas are Tohatsu.
With the three engines, the propellers all turn in the same direction or do they run against each other?
Steffen Hemmann the two outer ones most likely counter rotate the center could turn either way it’s probably standard rotation
You build your own.!
Honda must use ELD on the electric system on there boats too
Is there any problem for twin 250hp engine to have the same rotation?
not bad!! but I would always go with Mercury.. Lighter, More torque, and true HP. like the 300R V8
Honda is far more superior than Mercury
I'm a commercial fishermen all my fellow fishermen avoid mercury they are unreliable piece of junk
@@TC-iz6xe mercurys breakdown
@@321thach this is true. hondas and yamahas last and no hassles like mercs
This is true...mercury more advance torque and lighter...but honda is reliable..not many problem..
For most people, simply to expensive....
That's why we only enjoying it on TH-cam while people who can truly afford it enjoit it on the water
How much the price
Mercury engines get you there faster.
Honda engines get you back.
Lol true
Why one engine is shaking so much…? 🤔
I am here to hear if there are any vtec crossovers on the boat😂

Can't decide - Hoda or Suzuki?!!
Honda ofc
Honda
honda, you wont regret it
Honda
Suzuki that Honda's going to corrod away
How does the controls work for an uneven number of outboards. There are only 2 throttles. So what is the 3rd motor linked too
It’s controlled by the same system
@@josefastboats5874 obviously but what throttle is it linked too. There is only two
