In case anyone didn’t realize during the 2nd round of the 3rd map when the console team was attacking the dps players and support players switched roles. So they beat a pc t500 team while off roling.
I mean it’s a team vs 5 randoms, it’s not that insane of an idea imo. My team regularly runs 3v5 games against our b-team and wins cause we have communication.

You gotta get the best PC players possible for these guys.. mid-bottom top500 wont cut it, they are all top 10 on console.
That's not the issue either. It doesn't matter that these guys are top 10 console. They are literally a team that scrim with each other and know each other well. Jay said it twice in this video, best way to get a really good game is to have another pro team or even ex pro team to play these guys.

yeah see except OW is a TEAM BASED game. It's not about 1v1s. The entire matches wasn't just 1v1 fights, the console team just absolutely fried AS A TEAM. I'd argue aim assist on sticks could never come close to someone who can actually aim with a mouse. All the people claiming aim assist probably can't even play aim trainer games properly.
yes its easier to flick onto a target when on mouse, but in games like this where there is so much unpredictable movement and such fast movement, aim assist becomes op when they are able to track unpredictable movements that even the best mouse aimers cant predict, and neither would the controller aimer be able to predict but since they have aim assist they really dont have to predict it.

PC gamers literally have it so much easier to play, especially if aim assist didn't exist. You guys can literally use your entire arm to move where you're looking but all we have in console is our thumb and we can only try so quickly, so either I turn my sensitivity up really high and I have to make very small increments of movements, or I just deal with the fact I can't do a 180 almost instantly

I used to play on console and switched to pc, I’m master in both. The skill is kinda the same, aim assist makes up for it in a way. Only the movement is a little different, but they’re fairly very similar skill wise. I play with my friends that are still on console and they can easily keep up or even outperform PC players, that I don’t find surprising anymore.

I play primarily on a Switch. Mostly support, and Moira main. I don't use aim assist on the Switch because it messes with my eyes nearly as bad as the gyro stuff on the Switch. I'm in cross-play all the time because my brother is on PC and my son is on PS5, and we team up. It's funny to read comments when people discover they just got dominated by an 'old' guy on a Switch. The only time someone heals more than me is if I've been queued up with some garbage players and need to dps more, or, when I'm with a great Mercy. But I'm routinely putting up more healing than Mercy and the Lucio. Am I the best? Nope. Far from it. But I'm having a blast mixing it up with gold and plat players on better devices, and still making a meaningful impact. Appreciate this video!

Appreciate the content. My son plays on PS5 and my brother plays on PC. And I'm always teaming with them from a Switch, as support (Moira main). So a lot of cross-play happening. I've played so much on Switch that I've learned to adjust my gameplay to work with the limitations of the device. I've had to learn to predict what's going to happen so that I can make any meaningful impact. I don't use aim assist because it just messes me up on that small screen. Especially if I'm DPS as a sniper etc. It goes all wonky and messes with my eyes. Same reason the gyro stuff is turned off. Am I the best support? Hardly. But it sure is fun seeing comments when people discover they've been dominated by some 'old' man on a Switch! And even better to hear my son's reaction to my gameplay. Just recently after I finished a match with over 26K heals he said, "Dad, you're a whole hospital!" Good times.

There was literally an elo hell vid where a top 500 console player was hardstuck pc diamond. Game sense was T500 but mechanics were diamond, so it seems to matter to some extent.

I expected the console team to win. At this high of a level, team coordination and set up plays are the most important which the PC team is unlikely to have.
Edited: Exception to this is when both teams are so coordinated, i.e. Overwatch League, that individual mechanics can make a difference.
Y’all act like cgl players actually practice or scrim, most teams play like one night a week. There is no “pro” season. Console is just a very small pool at the high level, all these players know each other and have played on ladder for years

6:22 I don’t think aim assist is carrying. When you have more cheaters on your servers, 500fov, the option to plug in a controller yourself and better specs, I feel like anyone is just coping with a loss by saying aim assist.
I think PC overall has more competitive players by far, but I’d still put them on par with the few top console players.
In games like fortnite and cod, some players have won big tournaments using controller. I think that you’re discouraging console if you think a group of randoms should’ve beaten a competitive team.
Games like siege have controller players who are capable of beating pc players and the game doesn’t have aim assist for either.

The PC will always find excuses. They say that Aim assist is too strong but they wouldn't even be able to ride Gold with a controller, that's the sad reality. TOP 500 Console players have always been ridiculed for years, they are not the best players in the world but they deserve another reputation on Overwatch

people are deluded if they think console players have better aim because of aim assist when you're comparing it to freely moving your mouse around with your hand and wrist.
I better to turn off aim assist on a lot of heroes, it's as much of a hinderance as it helps. Its very bad for characters that need to turn their camera for movement, and its quite unhelpful for projectile heroes, it's most helpful on heroes that are hitscan, but hitscan is what console players struggle the most with (because you're aiming with a thumb and not your hand and wrist)
The advantage console players ACTUALLY have is the 360 degree movement from the joystick. Dumb Dumbs

Its not aim assist, its just that the console team are in a higher tier relatively to their platform. A console pro player with beat a random ladder grinder but a pc pro of same relative tier in their platform will beat the console pro.

I refuse to believe theres a difference between owl players and t500 players. Both use and understand teamwork, communication and role switching well. The only downsides would be toxicity and not in comms which werent present here. Pc players just shouldnt underestimate console players alot
Um what no there's a huge difference between owl vs top 500. It's not visible in ow 2 cause everybody's gm1, but basically in ow 1 4600 was usually where normal owl players sat at, which is basically impossible for normal top500s. Ask anybody thats good they will tell you there's a huge difference.

First of all 4.6 in ow1 was usually every top 15 player on the leaderboard in a season.
Second Good Owl academy teams requirement for even trying out for then was 4.4 so I don't know what youre talking about.
Most owl players have gotten 4.6 multiple times and usually stayed within the 4.5 and 4.6 range.
I can name every American owl player who was usually 4.6 too. And the guys have als gotten rank 1 multiple times. You can just search it up.
Danteh, super, hydron, ultra violet, ojee, space, Reiner, aspire, s9mm, coluge, speedily, sinatraa, RuPaul, Jake, landon, lukemino, funny astro, dove, rakattack. Etc.
These are just the American player who have reached 4.6, not even countin the other nationalities in owl. Most there are usually In the 4.6 or 4.5 range. Most there have also reached 4.7.
One of, if not the worst owl player ever, Malthel is also a top 100 DPS player usually.
The Koreans are also on average better than this. Like genuinely you have no idea what your talking about.
You don't even have to take my word for it. Go on reddit look up awkward ( a multiple rank 1 player) and search up his comment from like 3 or 4 years ago. He'll straight up tell you that a good or normal owl player should always be at 4.6 or 4.5 if they are actually trying in ranked.

But most t500 we see regularly (not owl players) are using mid to high level. The highest t500 hit close to those ranks aswell on console. I never said they got the bottom t500. Also we dont know what ranks the players were in the video. Looked like 4200 - 4400. I dont want to bother going too deep arguing with you but theres a reason even owl players dont hit 5000, because they lose games. I still think a decent t500 vs owl players would still be close

Btw the best player on console : Hcpeful, who has gotten rank 1 on both console and PC will straight up tell you good or normal owl players are just much better than top500.
It's literally in their job descriptions. They have to be better. For most owl teams, at minimum you had to have gotten 4.6. Then if you tryout and get a spot on the team, you will normally scrim for more than 3 hours most days and you might play a couple more hours of ranked after.
I don't know what to tell you dude, they are just better. That why they're paid to play.
Hubris. So many pc players think they are the most superior. But this game takes more than mechanics at top 500. Auto-aim and mouse sensitivity is out to dry at this point.

I have played this game for 8 years and have not experienced that once.
Either way, if that was true then we would see console players below GM actually beat PC players more often, but it doesn’t happen at all. M&K is the superior input for this game.

Aim assist is not the problem. The problem is aim assist + xim + cronos.
