Tracer is definitely weird on console. Based on my limited experience, you sort of have to accept that you're not often going to be looking directly at your target unless you're actively trying to shoot them.
I like playing Tracer on console but it’s a lot more pre-movement compared to PC. For example I start turning before I blink + 180 so that by the time the blink is finished I actually 180ed whereas on PC you don’t have to think ahead like that.

I dont think the PC team is playing the most optimal tank comp. They definitely feel confident that they can win if they go full tryhard mode. So they had less pressure.
And that is the difference between OWL and what most GM's "THINK" competitive is in Overwatch, it is not even remotely close, and until you experience it first hand you never truly understand what professional competitive tournament games actually look like. Outta control mechanics from both sides, but the energy, joy, and pure entertainment came from my vote Jbubs. He makes me wanna actually talk in coms.
Oddly with the console comms, in higher elo, it's always like this. It seems toxic if your not used to the way the comms work but its pretty much the way it always operates.
only worth doing if the console players aren't handicapped like they are in this game. PC players have their normal settings while console players have assist disabled. biased af
PC has no reason to lose technically. The movement and team chemistry give a huge advantage to the PC team to begin with. If anything, console team taking the PC team down to the wire like this just shows how good console players are who are at a natural disadvantage compared to pc players in general. And Afersie was the best player in general of the two teams. Good on console for debunking those myths.
Imma just be here to witness PC and Console Sweats being absolute retards to one another when in general, they are really close, with PC having a higher skill ceiling and Console having a higher skill floor. Fighting over something like this is so shitty and pointless imo.
I think this is a good example of how limiting console is. They held their own very well, but they have no verity. They relied so heavily on specific strategies and heros. Not because they were incapable of doing anything else, but because they knew anything else would put them at too much of a disadvantage. Something as simple as Winston jumping in while 180 turn to avoid headshot and 180 back to combo isn’t feasible.
I think the only real nuanced takeaway is that console-vs-pc matches in any game are more of a measure of how well that specific game's aim-assist does at compensating, whether it's over or under compensating. At the highest levels, the players on both sides are definitely very skilled to be able to perform this well. There's also definitely a bit of a comms difference in this specific matchup, ahah. Thank you Jay for organizing this, and thank you to all the players for participating. I will note that Afersie is absolutely cracked though, and thinking about it more, Tracer does seem like one of the best DPS heroes to take advantage of aim-assist. Since aim assist can kinda troll you on projectile characters sometimes by pulling you onto target when you meant to intentionally lead their movement. Yet tracer isn't as dependent on headshots, since her spread and rate of fire make her function closer to a beam character which benefits well from the aim assist helping keep your crosshair center-mass to track awkward movement without needing perfect predictions. I will say, the one thing I don't like hearing in a show match is the type of excuses that one player kept giving. "Well I'm not really trying", "Why are they trying to win so much", "This is so boring". All of the I'm-too-good-for-this throwaway excuses. It's such an immature cop-out to pre-emptively claim that if you lose it doesn't really count and if you wanted you could've won. If you don't wanna play seriously that's fine, you do you, but don't shield yourself behind that as a coping mechanism, lol. (However, I do understand that it's a high pressure scenario and what players say in comms to their own team can be a stress outlet which wasn't meant to be heard more broadly often times, I don't hold it against this player as long as he's not spouting it in match chat or out side of game even.)
I think a big issue was that tilt for the consoles. The pc definitely seemed to keep a more level head overall and i feel like every time we jumped into console comms after a teamfight loss there was a lot of the blame game going around, whereas the pc team was more about 'okay what happened? Whats their strat, and how should we respond?" Also the console team really failed to respond changing team comp, especially the first couple games. I feel like they got stuck on tracer hog bap zen, and sojourn when the other team swapped a ton to a dive team to counter. Instead of swapping tactics, they just sorta let them dive them over and over
I think the console had too much blaming their teammates mainly aftersie made their whole moral fall apart by being loud and constantly blaming his team and being negative
It was more of a mentality diff than a skill diff, also the support contenders players get overall vs console is huge. Super fun to watch tho, I was more hyped by this than the OWL lol
Reason they played zen alot is cause hxrvi is the best bap on console and zen is just good with bap, I’ve seen hxrvi solo carry games on bap many times he’s insane
The console team was just some random team that has never played professionally. I’d argue it was a bit unfair from the beginning because they could’ve used just a GM/t500 team and not literal professionals.
Man that's quality content jeez. I think this is actually one of the most entertaining matches I've ever watched, it was fun af! Getting to see the different attitude between console and pc teams, the difference in aiming and movement, the technique... amazing! I think consoles need a new king of gamepad because the only thing that made it kind of unbalanced was the limit of movement and rotation/accuracy and the worst thing was the AA for console. You can get a kill that's actually hard because of low proximity pretty easily on console, while being on a short range makes it too hard. Hardware limitations needs to be balanced and then cross play can be actually something amazing. This match made me rethink the way I see crossplay possibilities entirely, also thank you for the commentary!
Dude, this was awesome! Great content! I really didn't care who won I was just hoping it wasn't a complete steamroll. Great job to all the participants! They were amazing! Jay3, please do this again. This was legitimately more fun to watch than OWL.
Dude everyone in chat saying aim assist lol, if u ever played on console, u know aim assist is trash, I’ve played on ps4 for a while and masters there I personally prefer taking the aim assist out, it just sucks
Well, all the console teams got steam rolled even by PC teams 2 rank below them before they added aim assist in crossplay. With aim assist now, the console vs pc games are much closer than before. So AA definally has more pros than cons.
@@TheDj292 I’d say Overwatch is one of the few shooter games where console can have a chance. Besides Overwatch and COD, I can’t think of a shooter game in which console can truly compete.
It's so funny that the thing that stuck out most was the comms. I play on console, and when I watch PC streamers and TH-camrs, the biggest difference I see is everybody's attitudes. In fact, that's a big draw for who I want to watch. PC players just seem like they're having more fun, while console players play fully tilted more often.
I think the deciding factor here was each team's exposure to high level competition. PC being the main platform and body of Overwatch competitive means that high level PC players have to stay razor sharp with their compositions and communication because they're competing among the best. That isn't to say that a console team couldn't be "the best" team, but the console team would need more exposure playing against these PC players to start to level the playing field and really strategize. I'd like to see follow ups on this. Good content for sure.
This is what I was thinking. I feel like people really underestimate the difference between a tournament team and a professional league team. I think that given enough games, console could take a best of 5 from the pc team. Maybe not most or even half of the time, but some of the time
@@steggyweggy Contenders are not full time pros, Only OWL is. This console team consist of some best console players(Top 10 ranked) While the PC team although very good, they are not the very best PC players. An OWL team can roll pretty much any contender team.

@@DannyConcepts what I’m saying is for the average person who isn’t good enough at the game to use max sense, ygm. Sure in diamond and stuff it’s usual but even still it’s WAY easier on PC so it’s still easier for a PC Diamond to hit a 180 than a console diamond.
This is a great idea. I saw other commenters here mentioning this a lot. Overwatch league has to adopt this and i bet it would get a lot more popular bc then you have teams to root for.
Is it just me or is the PC community for overwatch the most toxic I see them shitting on console players consistently but at least they're playing the game lol
It’s just you. Console players get very mad the second they die or start losing. Then they blame their teammates instead of taking accountability or saving that talk for after the match. Pc players are chill and xbox players are angry and tilted most of the time. (coming from a console player). I hate other console players. Toxic and no fun. U can use this vid to show the differences in communication.
I like how whenever console players are winning, chat is going fucking insane with "console master race lessgooooo" but when they start getting stomped, everyone either shuts up or goes into excuse mode like "well theyre on console and its a pickup team so" 😆
As a console OW2 player coming from PC OW1, a lot of console players dont have the same game sense as PC. I was yelled at in comp for using my Dva ult so much lol i was just using it to secure final kills and basically give me a second shot at life. I notice mercy will res the road hog over a dva even tho dva technically has 2 lives and more shields
The console team wasn’t playing the best roster, their support player Parker couldn’t make it so they put Delena on support who has no experience with it. That’s why the supoort lines for console was a bit questionable
Honestly not too much of a skill gap. I felt there was definitely more of a chemistry gap tho. Maybe cuz the pc players didnt really feel like they had anything to prove so they kinda had more fun with it. Altho i do feel like there was a slight meta diff in console not playing lucio. I dont know whether the supports just arent comfortable playing him. But i felt like that wouldve helped a lot more. Moving the team around faster and fighting off the opposing tracer easier

Nah would be unfair, PC players would get a seizure when playing on 120
WOW this is actually an amazing video. Coming from being a console player my whole life to becoming a PC player the last 2 years. Seeing how well these boys and girls were getting at each other throats was so damn good to watch! Please keep these type of vids coming. Outta control mechanics from both sides, but the energy, joy, and pure entertainment came from my vote Jbubs. He makes me wanna actually talk in coms.
If you didn’t tell us the blue team have been together for years I would’ve never guessed they ever played with each other. Toxic synergy.
Oddly with the console comms, in higher elo, it's always like this. It seems toxic if your not used to the way the comms work but its pretty much the way it always operates.
We need one of these each months so we see different comps after updates this video was the best overwatch video ever Love the videos jay!
I never thought console would be so good, crazy skills for both teams
Yeah fr. especially with how bad roller feels on half the characters
@@rSiikaespecially cause controller on overwatch gets no sun assist
@@degensten yeah thankfully we have the moon assist
why? play on a game console meant for games = bad at the game
@@ultimateblaze23 no because controller = worse control than with mouse(and keyboard)
14:18 , that guy screaming hog hog while his hp going so low had me killed LOOOOOOOOOL
Jbubs is the ideal teammate lol. Good at the game, chill, funny, and good shot calling
Plllllease make this a regular thing!!! Hands down one of the best streams I’ve seen in a while!
only worth doing if the console players aren't handicapped like they are in this game.

@@boom-jr8vi I don’t think anyone is really fighting over this to begin with. More so, playing out an inquiry from the gaming community at large.
You can immediately tell it’s not really the best OW pc team when they’re all speaking English lmao
"This guy is putting me in the washing machine" may be the best line I've heard in OW2.
Best moments 13:24, 43:39 jbubs was MVP
"im boutta hitta punch on this mug... OOOOOOH HES OFF BABYY"
BY FAR THE GREATEST THING IVE SEEN INNA MINUTE 😂😂😂
I think a big issue was that tilt for the consoles. The pc definitely seemed to keep a more level head overall and i feel like every time we jumped into console comms after a teamfight loss there was a lot of the blame game going around, whereas the pc team was more about 'okay what happened? Whats their strat, and how should we respond?"
Also the console team really failed to respond changing team comp, especially the first couple games. I feel like they got stuck on tracer hog bap zen, and sojourn when the other team swapped a ton to a dive team to counter. Instead of swapping tactics, they just sorta let them dive them over and over
Listening to competitive overwatch is...quite the experience. It's just 30 random names per second😂
The doom was so good he is inspiring me to lose my ranked games
Man doom is so hard to use lol.
I think the console had too much blaming their teammates mainly aftersie made their whole moral fall apart by being loud and constantly blaming his team and being negative
He’s gotta be the neediest guy I’ve ever seen lmao
@@lune-3214 on god
i think they felt like they had something to prove probably
@@lopsidedanxiety4190 they werent bad they just were really bad for the teams morale
something console players will never fix since it’s just not as competitive as pc
It was more of a mentality diff than a skill diff, also the support contenders players get overall vs console is huge. Super fun to watch tho, I was more hyped by this than the OWL lol
Did u inhale a balloon before the stream
Reason they played zen alot is cause hxrvi is the best bap on console and zen is just good with bap, I’ve seen hxrvi solo carry games on bap many times he’s insane
Only compliant I have here is the PC team is a contender. There is a massive gap in skill when it comes to contender vs OWL pro team.
The console team was just some random team that has never played professionally. I’d argue it was a bit unfair from the beginning because they could’ve used just a GM/t500 team and not literal professionals.
@@blackbucciarati But if you go by ranks, I think the console team has more T50 players than PC.
If console won they would’ve said “AIM ASSIST”
Fun fact is that this match gettin more views than any OWL game on youtube lol.. Thanks Jay3! Or anyone who came up with this idea, very entertaining.
Crazy how something is always said when a console player lands a 3 shots on widow but not when they miss sleeps and sojourn ults
Frr
It’s because they missed the widow shots too
Pretty typical when PC players think they're at a disadvantage bc of aim assist, I always lose brain cells, when hearing that bs
@@Alex_Aramayo overwatch is prolly one of the few games that pc has advantage, especially in the shooter genre
@@TheDj292 I’d say Overwatch is one of the few shooter games where console can have a chance. Besides Overwatch and COD, I can’t think of a shooter game in which console can truly compete.
Dude the DPS 1v1 between Afersie and Rokit were incredible. Ngl this was more intense than watching those OWL Pros one clip a zen every team fight
I love how the console players are sweating while the pc players are just having fun screaming.
An OWL team can roll pretty much any contender team.
wow that was REALLY intense lol! hearing the comms makes the game so much more exciting and it's insane how close the game actually is at some points. loved the pc team, you could tell they had fun. seeing top level scrims is really fun to watch, would love to see more full vods like that.
don't open your mailbox tonight
Not saying they are but console overwatch player had been known to use keyboard and mouse adapters which is the reason why I swap to PC.
99/100 times, teams just blame each other. ZERO comms, only blame, and it's never their fault. So ridiculous. Love the video!
PC level tracer and genji is borderline impossible on console because of those 180s
wrong. 180s arent hard at all on console with max sense. i can 180 pulse bomb all day. and quickly.
It’s sad to see that on the console team a lot of egos were colliding for no reason
43:38 This is what happens when you give Afersie THE ORB
Most of these console guys are regularly in my ranked games, and I can confirm, their blood pressure is always this high
a team falls apart when after one mistake they just start whining at each other
This is a great idea. I saw other commenters here mentioning this a lot. Overwatch league has to adopt this and i bet it would get a lot more popular bc then you have teams to root for.
Rokit was insane, and jbubs had an insane doomfist, but the real MVP was Aniyun's kiriko bailing out those two on their borderline suicidal dives
No way he called that punch on the hog on the first game
"OH THEY'RE MATCHING ZENYATTA'S!" 21:05
I need that to be a sound clip 🤣🤣🤣
That pc energy on oasis, rd 3, is what the game is all about. When a team is vibing like that you just can’t lose. 😂
Did you think they would have been a challenge
Aniyun: not really
Missing every shot on Sojuin while standing still! 😂
I like how whenever console players are winning, chat is going fucking insane with "console master race lessgooooo" but when they start getting stomped, everyone either shuts up or goes into excuse mode like "well theyre on console and its a pickup team so" 😆
Man it was funnier how they were so tilted and trying hard with counterpicking and meta picks while PC was trolling most of the time
As a console OW2 player coming from PC OW1, a lot of console players dont have the same game sense as PC. I was yelled at in comp for using my Dva ult so much lol i was just using it to secure final kills and basically give me a second shot at life. I notice mercy will res the road hog over a dva even tho dva technically has 2 lives and more shields
The console tracer sounds like old Dafran in ranked doing friendly fire comms.
I genuinely feel like the reason console team lost was because of the support diff. They just took to long to counter pick things like JQ and Doom
You shouldn't have to counter pick either of those lol
@@Harmonic14 What do you mean if they are playing JQ and you have a zen bap you always go kiri for cleanse. It would have helped with every JQ ult
The console team wasn’t playing the best roster, their support player Parker couldn’t make it so they put Delena on support who has no experience with it. That’s why the supoort lines for console was a bit questionable
can we have more content like this? This pro coms spectate is magnificent
Everybody gangsta till the mobile players show up.
Switch player using widow with gyro😂
the console tracer is such a downer man, hes just plummeting the teams moral single handedly
my biggest flex as a console player is that i hit top 500 on rainbow 6 siege back in 2020-2021 which that game has no aim assist. i was a demon
Delenaa doesn’t even play support. Considering all of the egos in console top 500, they probably struggled to find compatible people to play with who didn’t absolutely despise each other 💀💀
This was awesome!! Crazy match up for sure! This was a fun event!!
Console did insane this was more fun watching than OWL
13:25 had me screaming "I'm 'bouta hit a punch on his mug"
Pretty big too that the console players have won every major tournament for the last 2 years and the pc team is working on placing! Still amazing games.
