never, never, no never , ever in the history of man/woman humankind was anyone able to play like our man Rory did, Rory was born to play the guitar and make music of the very best kind and with the boys in his Rory Gallagher band, he let rip the very moment the feet touched the boards on any stage he played. It is almost impossible to put into words how it felt to be at a Rory Gallager and his band concert I can only give one good example, it was like stepping in through the golden gates and being greeted by St Peter, yes it was like getting into Heaven

Artfully cut, this- the OGWT broadcast finished long before the end of the number (and the BBC probably didn’t keep the tape), so a switch is made to the version in ‘Irish Tour ‘74’. Not a perfect splice, but for two totally different versions, shot in different countries on different media it’s a fine effort.
