I’m so glad you had a good time! Everyone there is so amazingly friendly. I went to Sri Lanka this time last year and managed to drop my phone down a sewer grate. Everyone around immediately sprang into action and it culminated in a shop owner finding a huge metal rod and lifting the concrete slab to retrieve it. I was so thankful but he was the kindest man and said it was no trouble. Everyone there is so warm and friendly, such an amazing place!

Did you have to check in your backpack? Just curious since you packed some toiletries such as sunscreen which is more than 100 mls. That is always my problems when it comes to doing just carry on... thanks!

Ooooh good question! I wore everything I packed except my puffer jacket, but still glad I took it as it can be chilly up in hill country. The best things I packed were my tevas, my linen baggy jumpsuit and my pashima - I basically lived in that combo x
The Anna Edit perhaps for a twist on packing videos, do an unpacking video talking about what you took on trips and whether you wore it or not? Plus what you would have changed about what you packed? X

We stayed in the Tintagel Paradise Road Colombo and I wasn’t impressed. Super expensive and felt a little unclean and their card machine was playing up which made us panic that our cards weren’t working (they did everywhere else!), so not one I’d recommend unfortunately x
We've just come back from our honeymoon in Sri Lanka, it was amazing! The monkey on the train situation happened to us too but my husband thought I wae seeing things 🤣

here in india, tuk tuks/autorickshaws are a very common mode of transport and tbh they're my favourite too!!
