I live in the UK and littering is abysmal here. Every time I venture to mainland Europe I’m amazed with the cleanliness. I went Ypres (pronounced Eeprah) in Belgium and I didn’t see any litter anywhere. Not even chewing gum on the ground. Mainland Europe just educate people on litter so much better than everywhere else. Mad props to Deafcon to keeping it so clean
I am shocked by how clean it looked and how clean you said it was. That token system is brilliant. Also, I'm not into electronic music, but those stages are incredible. Power Hour seems like an incredible time. I love the whole vibe of the festival.

That main stage at night is so epic! I can agree with you about EU festivals compared to US ones. I've only been to metal festivals, but everyone in EU seems much more passionate about the experience and more appreciative of artists and their music.
I caught that vibe as well! Everyone was there because of their love of the music. A lot of American festivals have become a place people go just to get super fucked up and have fun, which is great! But there isn't much appreciation for the music or the artists.

Went to Defqon this year too. Made it my first Rave ever and it was well worth it. Definitely had its ups and downs. Music was insane and the people were great.

When we went to EDC, I remember in the morning once, I had to pee really bad, the people had JUST came to start cleaning the Porta potties, but the open ones were *literally* raining shit from the ceilings..... all of them.
I loved this my favorite part has to be the power hour and recycle tokens. You're absolutely right they should have that in the U.S. That was pretty cool KT. I enjoyed it alot. ❤

Okkk so I definitely want to go next year but I just hate that both it and Electric Forest are traditionally around the same time, this year the same weekend and I love that stupid little festival so much. If theyre on different weekends next year, am i insane for trying to do both if things line up? My main concern would be getting sick at whichever one happens first. Im also not in my 20s anymore >_< Anyways this was a pleasure to watch and look forward to the next pieces of content you put out!
About the festival outfit, it's just kinda a hard dance festival thing to just go with any random outfit. If you go to EDM festivals like Tomorrowland or Parookaville you will see similar outfits to USA festivals. But you're right, Defqon is really one of kind festival. I guess Intents/Decibel are about the same, but I mean Defqon are the holy ground it's something else.
All festivals in the Netherlands do this recycle token thing. To me it feels purely like greenwashing and a way to make a little more money. Never considered it actually makes a big difference to how much(or little) trash is laying around
It really does make a big difference! It could also be the people are more conscious about trash than they are in America, but when I say American music festivals are a SEA OF GARBAGE, that is not an exaggeration lol
That recycle token is a great idea! I live north of Seattle and trash is rampent! But thats probably because the local government encourages drugs use so there are tweakers everywhere :(

I say go to Defqon since you have never been to it before! It was an amazing experience and definitely worth travelling for!
