Stimpack just allows the Marines guns to go from full auto to fuller auto 😂
If marine guns were fired at the max rate, they'd not need medivacs to fly, they are instead burst fired, so stimpack would help out

Marine guns always shoot at the same speed but after stim they are stronger and hyper focused so they need less time to readjust their aim after every burst

The gun has super auto mode that a normal human couldn't hold accurately unless they take a stimpak

@9:46 Stim packs by the name and the lore suggests some mixture of adrenal stimulants. This doesn't allow the marine to 'shoot faster' per se - because the marine's gauss rifle's muzzle velocity would be mechanically fixed - but rather through a mixture of slowed down perception, heightened reflexes, increased pain tolerance and so on they can fire their rifle at full auto longer and with greater accuracy than they could when un-stimmed. This is also why stim packs do damage to the marines; fucking around with the human body like this damages it.

Have you ever noticed that the marine gun sound sounds like its shooting way faster than than the actual speed of the attack? My working theory is they are shooting very high powered guns very quickly, and thus miss alot due to recoil. Stimpack boosts their focus/strength so they handle the recoil better when using the stim effectively boosting their hit rate / attack speed

About the stimpack and attack speed : I like to imagine that the drug boosts their awareness which results in more hits, and it is represented as attack speed in the game
Just a quick thought: Marines' combat rifles may produce a lot of recoil, being huge chunky guns. To stay on targets, marines have to fire in quick short bursts. With stim pack in effect, marines become a lot stronger and be able to hold their guns stable and 'pew-pew' at maximum fire rate.
I cant wait for cyclones to get changed.

Sri pack gives the marines the ability to turn off recoil letting them go full auto. Basically turns off their limiter
Bly can do a wheelie on a unicycle.
Stim pack makes them reload faster, I think of everytime a marine fire they fire their entire clip and have to reload before firing again

Bly has got a copy of the Sacred Book of Protoss instead of Sacred Book of Zerg. That's why we have what we have now.
medivacs can pick up enemy troops? seems like that could be abused somehow...
Stimpack might actually affect the marine’s accuracy rather than fire rate thus making the damage tic more often
Maybe stim pack helps the marines reload their weapons faster.

After shooting a gun you need to realign sight, combat drugs help you do that quicker

Lowko idea to make tanks more viable to move and shoot allow the player to store 2 marines in a tank so it can shoot close by with the power of 2 marines
Their rifles are automatic. But very powerful. They can't hold it steady with the recoil and have to instead re-target.
They are stronger and faster with stim so that process can be done faster.
My theory is that every "shot" from marine is full clip of ammo then manual reload and stimed marines do it faster. Then another clip goes brrrr.

That makes even less sense than just saying that they fire faster, which also doesn't make sense.

This was IEM Katowice qualifications matchup? This looks more sloppy than some of my ladder matches like.. I really had hard time. I really did. I guess this is what you feel after you meet that legendary unicorn in person and see it's just donkey with carrot stick to it's head, suddenly.. not so legendary. This is not how I remembered these two ://
