I didn’t snooze and I still lost out on this one. Jumped on SS ten minutes before the release and still ended up 4000th in line for a figure that only had 3000 units. I do think just like the Stealth suit Cap second release we will eventually get a sculpted version down the road. I just hope it doesn’t take too long.
I actually don’t mind the $$ it’s the fact that it’s too hard to get. If I wanted to sale my collection and strictly collect artisan line..basically couldn’t do it.

Also, I feel like with them making the mistake of allowing people to order 1 of each version should be corrected and compensated by them increasing the edition size. I'm sure they have the data or an estimation of how many accounts ordered 2.

I appreciate your sentiments, but collectors have complained for yeara that values of hot toys have declined. Well this is the new way. Some win, some lose. This is the future folks. Hate it or love it.
I lost out on this figure as well. I have won some and lost some. Of course it stinks. What I will say is I think you need to look at it differently. If you did get it the system works. Right? If you don’t the system is broken? It’s natural to feel that way as a collector. We are human. What I will say is I like this system. The reason is because of rarity and value. I’m not saying every artisan is going to bring in the big bucks but it does bring collectibility back. You are not losing 50% the minute you purchase something and selling for a lot less in the buy sell trade groups. Now I don’t sell my figures but having that peice of mind that it at least will retain some value is good for me. I am in full support of it. It’s not always perfect but I believe it works. The only gripe I do have and I believe sideshow already admitted it was being able to buy 2. That was bad. I believe it was an error. I may be wrong on that.
The strategy is basic if you want it, be ready or your out of luck 🤣 I was ready and missed out, turned the page and moved on to the next day. Only the haters that didn’t secure the prize are the ones that are critical about how it looks. Good thing to remember this is a prototype coming out in 2026.

I've been collecting 1/6 for over 2 decades. I am 100% not interested in paying what they're asking for Artisan figures. Part of what makes collecting fun is finding what you want for a good deal. Paying $400+ before tax and shipping is definitely NOT a good deal. I just completed the payment plan on my '89 Batmobile. The piece is expensive, no doubt, but the value is there for me. This new Winter Soldier has no light up features, and the arm isn't diecast or posable enough. I also would've liked a swappable face-paint version.
Can’t say I’m a fan of dropping artisan only versions. First off cause I agree, the likeness around the hairline has issues. Secondly this has an easy companion piece with stealth cap which was a regular release. While I wasn’t a fan of doing Anakin and Black Widow has standalone artisan, I at least can understand it a bit more when they aren’t releasing other figures from the same movie at the same time! But it seemed like they were doing Winter Soldier 2.0 figures with this. It’s kind of like when they did 0-0-0 and BT-1 but made one of them an exclusive…. Kind of stupid, and leaves $$$ on the table.
I think the likeness is a lighting issue. It always looks odd in the promo shots but the blogger shots will look better. I never get artisan I always go sculpted hair. Wool hair to me is like pleather. Over time how will it look? You get a like just for the F bomb.
Yeah, these limited figures suck. Also no molded version sucks. The crazy artisan prices suck and the lottery system blows. Not sure I see the advantage of pissing off customers. I’ve started shifting most of my business away from companies that treat me like this.

Yea I wasn't able to secure the bag on Bucky. On the waitlist. TBH as frustrating as it can be that they release exclusive figs, a-lot of people seem to keep going for them when they are announced. I can't be mad as a biz HT's keeps doing it. It does seem odd that they didn't institute a window option like you mentioned. I always say logic and HTs don't mix. I have clue one what their financing and how they determine their sales expectations with figs they announce. Or even how they determine what figs to put out. U'd think its due to popularity and demand but really doesn't seem HTs operates like that. The price...eh. I'm not upset on it. I mean tbf you probably get more bang for buck with going w/ an Inart rooted hair fig, but for a custom sculpt with rooted hair u'd pay WAY more then what InArt and HTs are offering. I agree something is off with the sculpt. Still would cop. I'd have the mask on anyways so doesn't really igg me as much as some that may just display him without mask and goggles. The selling point for me is real leather being used. YES! I have the original one. Picked up used and was lucky the peeling wasn't that bad but still its a thing. Thanks for vid!
Sorry you missed out. I've argued against these limited quantity exclusives since day 1 and I hope that everyone who pushes for them misses out or pays through the nose for something they really want because that's the type of frustration this marketing gimmick eventually causes. People complain about figures losing "value", but I rather be able to buy what I really want for my collection than be able to sell something later for a profit. People worry more about selling a month after they get something than they do about actually building a carefully thought out collection that they love. If limited exclusives must be done, at least do a short, timed pre-order window to give passionate collectors a chance.
Sideshow pulled a fk fast one too, letting people buy 1 of each version and when I emailed them, they said oh sorry people seemed to of taken advantage of it and when I asked about if they are gonna cancel the double order they said no 😂 hot toys could have givin us a scuplted at least. But whatever, hot toys pulling fast ones with not making more and scuplted ones. Damn I'm pissed with this one
Sideshow claims allowing people to buy BOTH SKUs was an oversight/error, but they did the same thing with the Artisan Black Widow. So it wasn't really an oversight, it just bit them in the ass this time. And it does suck that people obviously have different experiences with website and shopping cart performance based on their browsers and internet connection. Because I know some folks never have any issue in the queue system, and others have NOTHING but issues. I think the best solution is either upping the numbers by a quarter or a third, so that it still sells out inside of a week, but is available for at least a day or more. Or do a 1 week timed release. Whatever is ordered in a week is what they make.
I missed out on it too. I've actually had pretty good success with Artisans in general, but this one was especially frustrating. The fact that people were able to grab 2 of them should invalidate the whole process. If they really cared about their customers, they'd roll back the exclusive title and issue more of these to make up for their incompetence. I won't hold my breath though.

I’m not even angry that I missed out cause my queue number was so high and then got the red banner for 20 plus minutes and could not add to cart. I’m just now disappointed. Waiting on a some preorders to be delayed so I can cancel and get my NRD back. Definitely curbing my future purchases. Stuff like this has made it less fun to collect.

I was one of many who waited in the queue only to get in and be unable to pre-order as someone else had it in their cart. This nonsense lasted for almost 45 minutes until it was waitlisted. I’m totally with you Ben! Doing a sculpted hair release would have been a solid consolation prize for those that want this character and couldn’t get the artisan. So much money left on the table.
