I would say that the JA 1 is one of the best hoop shoe that I have used. Traction, cushioning, fit and overall performance is better than some shoes that I've used.
I usually buy one after the basketball season. I picked up 2 pairs of the Freak 4 TB during my basketball season last year n used them in some practices..then after the season they were my outdoor hoop shoes. Now both are thrashed..still wearable but no traction left. (Still look nice still lol..machine washable with insoles out and air dried). Perhaps when I get the Freak 5’s discounted this coming spring I’ll use them for outdoor..n that shall be my first performance hoop shoe review video.

I just got my first pair of ja 1s yesterday it seemed tight but I assume I have to break it in lol but definitely comfortable
you will 100% have to break it in if you have wider feet
