I think the "we ain't ducking no smoke" quote was supposed to go on the "fly" colorway. For these i think the quote was, "we go up the chimney". Hence the bricks. Nike just trying to avoid anything remotely negative associated with Ja after the gun incidents.
I think the price just depends on the colourway...here in Australia we've had colourways released with the increased price and then other ones released afterwards with the original price.

nike ja 1 colourways are so good compare to other nike shoes i wish the performance matched the looks though
