Truly the best voice we could ever have for the one and only Violet Bloke. Philliam Jafton Heywood deserves a thousand oscars as far as I'm aware. If I could make him appear in every future FNaF game, I would.
I don't think I'm going to recover from "Philliam Jafton" anytime soon. And, yes, this is all 100% true. I rate his voice THREE Funtime Freddys and two Minireenas out of 10.

man can I just say, PJ Heywood is so damn cool, I love his interpretation of William and Michael Afton, both really good performances. As well as just being a really cool guy in general in interviews and with others. Love that guy, and I wish he would've stayed the *only* VA for Will and Mike, at least in the games. He gives so much personality to them.
Same, same and SAME. His performance as those characters is genuinely unmatched to the point that I can't imagine them sounding any other way. If his roles do end up being recast, that voice actor has some REAL BIG shoes to fill.

The only William (and Michael) voice I will ever accept as true canon. Those are big shoes to fill for anyone else portraying the characters, and it's a shame PJ can't be the voice for all future appearances... though I definitely understand why it would not work in, for example, a live action movie for him to play both Mike and William. But he is a fantastic voice actor and it would be great to see more of him in the games!
I agree. He literally IS these characters, like if the Afton men show up PJ should come packaged with them, so it's a real shame he's not reprised those roles in a while. I would love to see more of him :)

Same, and I also liked him as Afton. I just think he was a bit too confined to the script, we all know he had more potential considering the movie gave many fans mixed feelings. Still, I'm excited to see what's in store next December

I hope they bring him back for an origins game that Steel Wool said they wanna make at some point. They already brought back other huge voice actors such as Kellen, Heather and Andy. He's an OG and I hate not having him back for anything.
The thing is, PJ Heywood and Dave Steele were both online recently on Voices after over a year of being offline. So the way I see it there is a very VERY miniscule chance that they might be coming back, and I feel like a prequel game would make the most sense for that. At the very least I hope that's the case; it really doesn't feel right having all these OG voice actors return and PJ not being a part of that.
I don't know. PJ is a great voice actor don't get me wrong, but a lot are still upset with him for what he did in 2020. A lot see him as racist to China now.

@@the4tierbridge PJ commented on a video on that was on Twitter about a Chinese kid getting hurt who was ignored by some people and claimed that the Chinese were horrible people because of this.
He later did try to apologize for it and claimed it was him miswording but not many saw it genuine because he later deleted his account.
He also revealed that he supports crypto currencies and would constantly defend it and people didn't like that as they consider it him not trying to understand where they're coming from.

PJ's gotta be my favorite actor from FNaF, he just has this personality that i doubt any other actor woul dbe able to capture. This is honestly one of my biggest concerns with the FNaF movie, that Matthew Lillard won't be able to capture that aura thatt made william the awesome character he truly is.
This is also why i don't get those peopole that say that william was better in FNaF 2 and 3, because he didn't even have a personality back then?
He really did embody the character. I genuinely believe Afton wouldn't have nearly as many fans today if he was played by anyone other than PJ. I have hope for Matt Lillard tho, he's got a good history with characters like Afton and franchises like FNaF, I think he can do it justice :)
Yeah, i thik Matthew did a great job! My only problem is that he feels like a separate character from the one in the games, and that's weird, because while mike and vanessa are supposed to be diffrent pepole, Afton is, besides the voice and appearance, by all accounts the same? But yeah, ignoring PJ's performance for a sec, Matthew did do an amazing job! (If only we saw more of him)

Heywood should return, even as a different character in modern FNAF, perhaps as a Fazbear Entertainment staff member.
I agree. Heywood was one of the OG FNaF VAs. Heather Masters, Kellen Goff and Andy Field all voice new(ish) characters in modern FNaF, and that group of VAs just feels incomplete without PJ Heywood.

Honest to God with Burntrap now being ambiguous with the Mimic and Matthew Liliard and Curtis getting rid of his British accent (Curtis kinda kept it in the trailer which was awful) William has now become much more generic. The Aftons being British added so much to their characters and PJ's performance is absolutely unmatched. I really hope he comes back some day.
liliard is a whole nother topic but i think the reason he wasn't british and was recasted was because it was never afton. the mimic has never actually heard him speak, it only knows his deeds and wants to replicate them, so it gives him a stereotypically "villainous" voice because that's all it knows. i really think pj served his role as afton, he's most likely not coming back because afton isn't coming back. he's dead.
@times2die The Mimic is a retcon. Glitchtrap & Burntrap speak in the Secruity Breach trailer and that's definitely not the Mimic cause the guy only copied Gregory's voice and doesn't seem capable of speaking in it's own voice. They scrapped Afton after the poor reception and also because Scott always wanted it to be the Mimic but then they just fumbled his return like seriously it's embarrassing how they just screwed this whole thing up. Especially with Vanny.

@@times2die It was confirmed cause it was revealed by the devs that Scott literally never gave them any information on the lore of the game so they had to come up with most of it themselves until Scott stepped in at the last minute and got them to change everything which is why the game released as an overhauled buggy mess. And nah, mate I won't chill on the Mimic because it was a pathetic inclusion to the series in the game. I shouldn't have to read some bloody books as an outside source to know what's going on in the game.

you don't need to read them to understand what's going on in the games. you don't need to know that the villain in ruin is the mimic, you just need to know that it's not gregory and it's trying to kill cassie. that's it. nothing requires you to have book knowledge. it gives you info on it, yes, but with context clues you can very easily tell what's going on lmao. mimic is glitchtrap and burntrap and was always intended to be, he even mimics tape girl's voice in help wanted, cope and seeth aftonbro.

PJ's acting goes a bit too far into "cartoon villian" territory for me, but other then that it's perfect imo
I think the cartooney vilanny is kind of the charm of it for me, William is just pure evil with no trace of humanity left so that type of performance fits perfectly in my opinion

Also now that I'm beginning to understand more about the Mimic, it's growing on me. I think it makes for a pretty cool villain, and I like that FNaF is actually trying something new instead of bringing back old characters whose stories already ended. I welcome the Mimic with open arms and I'm excited to see more of it after RUIN :)

What's funny is I actually could. At the time I posted this, these clips were everything I could find of PJ on the internet, but I've since found a little bit more. I'm a big fan of his work too so I get where you're coming from. Maybe I'll post some more eventually, no promises tho

@@PastelButterfly234 I know what you mean, I was doing the exact same thing for ages before I finally found the games he was in lol. But yeah, I'll happily list the projects he's voiced in.
The point-and-click games are: Mystery Trackers 11: Train to Hellswich, and Christmas Stories 5: The Gift of the Magi. In MT11 he played the cloaked monsters that appear throughout the game, as well as a police officer that appears in the game's ending cutscene. And in CS5 he played a character named Alex, a man looking for his daughter. From what I can tell, these were his first ever voice roles, at least the ones listed on his Voices profile. He was also the narrator in a promotional video for 19 Crimes wine.
He only has one other role listed on his Voices profile - narration for a corporate presentation, which is impossible to find due to the client being anonymous.
Heywood hasn't been in a lot aside from FNaF due to voice acting being more of a side gig for him. As far as I can tell, FNaF is the only project he's lent his voice to after 2016.
I've done far too much research on this.

I mentioned it in the description, but the first clip comes from HUEstation's livestream interview with some FNaF voice actors back in 2018. It was deleted some time ago so I had to use the Wayback Machine to pull clips from it.
