i'm so glad to wake up with your notification ^^ Do you think it's possible to make the flower patern more deep to make something like an oroshiki for garlic or ginger? Thanks you for sharing your beautifull work ^^
Thank you! I was thinking of making the inlay patterns like a grinder, but they weren’t practical. The ‘Kushime’ seasoning mortar was more practical and functional.
Thank you for your comment. I live in Takeo City, and there are delicious restaurants near Takeo Onsen Station. My pottery is also sold inside the station.
this may be hard to translate but... what composition is your clay? I've noticed japanese bonsai potters seem to be using something kind of sandy but elastic.
I’m mixing two kinds of clay. I made a video about it, so please take a look. I hope it helps. th-cam.com/video/CbFCr-QlpSQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bo1Ds5ZI3t924OQ_
What a wonderful surprise. Thank you for the video, Sir. I hope you're doing well. 😁

Were the notches carved on the corners functional or decorative?
I carved the corner because the edge was pointy. It was also for decorative reasons.
you have wonderfully careful hands

Beautiful 😊

Hey would you be interested in an apprentice? I love your work
Thank you!
Actually, I’m not taking on apprentices at the moment. Also, the kiln is located in a very remote area, so it’s hard to get here as well.
