I really like this. I’ve tried one of these before and enjoyed playing it. I’m not sure why the negative views on extra string and tuning. I like the idea that guitar players can get a banjo sound. However the to me the authentic sound of the banjo is in its tuning. I can really see myself getting one of these, tune it to open G but substitute the low E string for a string that can be tuned to a high G and presto - it’s a regular banjo with an extra low G. But darned, sweet home Alabama sounds good on that in standard tuning.
Why all the hate? Im always looking Forward to your Videos and appreciate them. I like it that you try different Things, in my opinion that is the way Music should be like! Try differnt Things and never stop learning and make Progress. Cheers man you are one of my main insperations to go on with my electric guitar playing!
Not sure actually. It is slightly putting me off doing videos. Never usually does. But finding it hard to even find the time to make them in-between work. Funny thing motivation. Maybe it's a sign of me getting old! Haha

@@Karlgolden Do 100 riffs goes Banjo in the original key like the electric guitar version (parts 1 and 2) do 150 riffs part 3 goes acoustic, banjo version, and also sitar with a sitar guitar.
Phil chaser I have the same banjitar as in this video and bending doesn't work well, the note goes really quiet, I think due to the resonance from the membrane trying to sustain the original pitch or something. Also out of the box it is strung really heavy which prevents bending very far. (I am a guitar noob so sorry if my explanation is bad).

If you change the tuning of the top string from D to E on a regular 5-string banjo, you can play it like a guitar.
They were made for jazz in the 30’s because they’re louder than normal guitars and could compete with the other instruments

Banjos are weird, for some reason they can't sustain notes very well, so bends don't work very well 🤔

The lowest string's tuning key on a real five string banjo is half way down the neck. This is a Les Paul with a banjo body.
