I grow up in the back seat of my dads 55 Ford. The family of five would load up little sister in the middle big brother on the left then were off KFC drive in. I can still hear and see the sea gals.
We had one in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. Might have been a 1956 or 1958 model but very like the white car in this video. Actgually, at 7.50, the green and white is exactly what I remember. Mum in front pasenger seat with my newborn baby sister. In 1961, Dad was Senior District Officer standing in for the governor. We stayed for a year after independence but had to move to England because all four grandparents were getting old and frail. I helped Dad bash down the red mud ruts when we had to move out of the ruts we'd been in for as long as they lasted. I was six. Brother 4, Elder sister 2. Younger sister a few days old. Our final drive from Makurdi to train for Lagos. Ours was a sort of cream and green, iirc (we have colour cine film converted to digital but the DVDs are in the cellar. In fact, my maternal grandparents both died in the two months before we got to England so m siblings don't rmember them; I'd stayed with them for a few weeks in 1959.
I saw this episode and remember it well. Mark Cuban absolutely DID buy this car ! I was hoping that they would show that but they didn’t. I guess they couldn’t get Mark Cuban’s permission.
I just inherited my great grandfathers ‘55 Customline that he bought new and I’m fixing it up, so seeing this video is absolutely awesome!
Love the '55 and '56 Fords.
White is the best color to paint any car I love the white I have a 1956 ford that is all white from the factory 😊😊
I would love that car! Great cruiser.
