Man that Sugar bear front end is worth more then he payed for the bike! Minus the nostalgia 🤘 those are the only cool trikes I would ride if it was the end of time and a trike was my only option 😂

I remember seeing those trikes in the 70's. They were so radical back then, so cutting edge. Today they don't seem like much, but what a great memory from the past.

That "Trike" is part of Americana and the VW engine sounds good.

We had 59. 63. Impala wagons. Unc always went upscale with powerslides and rear electric. Windows
Great car! My parents bought a new 61 Bel Air Parkwood wagon. We were always taking trips up and down the eastern seaboard in it with 3 kids and two adults.
My parents had the 61 Nomad 9-passenger, 283 ci, with electric rear window. Always fun riding backwards looking at other drivers.

saw the green gasser on Staten Island a number of years ago, must've been going to its new home. looked fantastic in person and got a thumbs up from the guy delivering it.

Those Chrome air dams on the rear of the car. Are designed to keep dust and dirt from accumulating on the rear window glass.
The wagon is awesome! and the right colors too! I have a 63 Biscayne wagon that's almost the same color. There are few of those trikes running around NE Florida they're pretty cool especially if unable to ride a bike anymore.
3:53 My grandfather and I make these. Weve made a good 15 or so now. Take an old 70's Super beetle cut the front half off, use the center frame rail to attach the motorcycle fork to, and Bam, inastant Trike. RUPP was the company that did these fiberglass bodies, but with motorcycle engines not VW.
If you bring us the junk beetle chassis, 4500- 5,000 USD we will make you one custom. Just like that.

7:20 I would expect his guys to know a bit more about these.... as I mentioned above. We have customers in line to get these built custom to their specs... One form GASMONKEY would fetch i would guess, at least DOUBLE what we charge. He paid 3100, We charge about 5000... He could probably get an easy 10-15k when hes done depending how much he puts into it. thats like 7-12 grand profit, before you pay anyone.
Growing up in the 50s and 60s I fondly remember my Dad's ( then new) 1961 Chevy Brookwood wagon. Base model with a straight six and a 2 speed automatic. White with blue interior.

Never saw a 4-door Nomad before. The Tri-Five versions were all 2-doors. Always liked the `61 body style, this thing needs a 409 to make it legit !

My first car was a 1962/2-door/Impala,....bought it in 1980 for ($100),......Ran great, huge steering wheel,........*miss it*....😢...!!

In San Antonio they have this place they sell nothing but old cars as is I saw a Skylark Buick it was nice for 1500 seen Impala I also saw a comet 😂once my money ain't looking funny I'm going back to buy all the cars I can

The tailgate window would roll down and those deflectors would redirect air to the back and create a draw through the whole vehicle, if you had the front windows down too.
I Love the 61 wagon. Myself the car screams nostalgia Super Stocker. In my mind, I would replicate the Chevrolet Z11 from 63. And i know business is business but im against selling to overseas clients.

those "wings" on the back of that impalanare to disrupt the air suction while youre going down the road so you get better gas mileage.
The old Fast and Loud would have fixed that Impala up and drove it to the beach with surfboards on top of it

It would be nice if we saw some more builds like back in the day instead of the straight flips, it is nice to see the straight flips-- but the builds were always more fun.

I think even with the rusty tailgate, that wagon was worth $9k at the time of sale. So $6,500 left some pretty good meat on the bone.
If that guy drops $5k on a slighty used small block, transmission, new brake & fuel lines, and some new interior. I think it's worth $15k all day long.
Or better yet, quick flip it for $9k, and let someone else worry about how far they want to go with the resto!

If I had that Chevy I'd paint the roof back white and clear the rest but try to match the blue under the front bumper and other places. Leave the hubcaps and tires, drop a decent engine and trans and all new brakes and drive it daily cause it looks so good showing it's age but I'd have to touch the blue up and paint the roof back white and roll around in the car and leave the suspension the way it came from the factory cause where I live, riding low doesn't make sense the way the roads are...
