I absolutely adore Alex. River is also a favorite of mine. When she said she felt they rather disrespected her on the set of Doctor Who in that scene with Matt, I totally agree and felt a bit defensive on their behalf. They do need to schedule enough time for the actors, especially main characters, to get their very best work and to be more sensitive about it.

If I were the girl with the clury hair and fez and Alex said "But you are my husband" they'd have to pick me off the ground. No joke.

Bill would talk to her for a while and then she'd tap the Doctor on the shoulder and ask "is she single?" And the Doctor would reply with a stunned face and say "why don't you ask her?". Bill would go and ask river "are you...y'know, seeing anyone?". River would reply, "no, but I am married," "Who to?" She'd look over at the Doctor and, when bill turns to see who she's looking at, the doctor would raise his eyebrows and smile. Bill would turn back to river and mouth "him? He's so old!" And she'd say, "Me too, 200 years old, I think you're a little young for me, don't you? **Winks** "

i get shes not the main character but the way Alex portrays her river is my hands down favorite doctor who character.
