Nice one Daryl! Great project, and the coloring and texturing was just phenomenal! I’ve been wanting a texturing tool for a long time now. I just need to bite the bullet and get one. This video definitely was inspiration! - Seth
love these top videos with the sorby tool. . question do you lubricate the mini spiraling texering tool becuse it has no ball bearing do you find i wears the brass the wheel looked very loose as you were useing it ? Bill
Thank you. On occasion, I will add a few drops of light oil. I do not find that the brass is wearing away. I have used these tools a lot over the course of the last two years.
Great job - what type of markers are you using? I tried sharpies but it ruined the tips (only spinning at 100-200 RPM). Also, what speed do you use the texturing tool at? Thanks T
Thanks for watching! I am using Sharpie markers, I point the tips down and use the side of the tips to help make them last. Lathe speed is around 500rpm.
Art and turning. Beautiful
That's awesome!!! Love the color combo, too!
This is great, and I can apply it to my yarn spindle projects❤
That is an exceptional spinning top. Love the decoration. Great work.

Thanks for this project. I clicked on your Amazon shop but it looks like it's a bad link.
Thank you for pointing this out. I did correct the link.
