Of course you love Alys!! I live in MD and have been twice (stayed in Rosemary and biked through Alys). Not enough people up my way know about the 30A gems down there. What a dream it is. Inspiration for days. These towns are a temple to good taste!
Our home...only further down near Grayton. My Deceased husband and now sons have been building here when Seaside was just a dream. Both my sons have built many a lush home here, with a true minimalist mother. My own father was an architect. Come back
Oh, my goodness-this place is my dream location!! I would never be able to leave. It’s perfect in every way. Please makeover your sunroom to capture the style of Alys Beach. It would be so dreamy!
Oh my goodness this place is MAGICAL!! A 6 hour drive from me, time to plan a vacation 😆, thank you SO MUCH for sharing it with us!!!

Wow! This is what I've been wanting! We are planning to move (downsize) in the next few months, and now I know that our next house here in Phoenix is going to have elements of Alys Beach. We already have a few bits of Moroccan furniture, but I want to add some of the architectural elements and colors, water features, and tile. Now, if only we had the ocean nearby we'd be fixed, but here, we are 'all beach, no ocean''. Thank you for sharing this special place.

I used to live 30 minutes from Alys beach and my mom and I would always go and walk it and gush over the architecture. Brings back such good memories with my mom
I totally get this. We just got back from South Dakota/Yellowstone/Salt Lake City/Moab etc etc and I was so happy and inspired by the beauty the whole time. I have never heard of Alys Beach but your photos and videos inspire me to go. Thanks for the video!

We wore there three years ago and we fell in love with the buildings and the plants the doors and windows just so beautiful! I wanted to stay there.It felt as we wore in Europe, I totally loved the family atmosphere and the shops at Rosemary Beach 🤩

Beautiful! I live in Florida and so many people rave about Destin but I think I want to visit Alys Beach first. I didnt even know this place existed. Its only 5 hours away for me. It reminds so much of my travels to Greece. Pretty much most of my European travels.
Thank you for Reminding me how much my family and I loved Alys beach! We rented a beach house in SeaCrest Florida which is super close to Alys. We didn't even know about it....but when WE found out....OMG, I am also a designer and I was all over it!!! The homes, the sir, water, food, shopping....everything was just PERFECT!!!! I am looking forward to seeing more of your vacay there!

Wonderful to see your video. I’m from the U.K. and have been fortunate to spend time with American friends who live at Alys on a number of occasions. It really is quite the most stunning place I’ve visited. Design considered at every level. I love the gas lanterns too but am shocked that they burn day and night, such an environmental waste for a community the promotes its environmental credentials.
I haven’t visited Alys for five years and know it has grown immensely since. Can’t wait for my next visit in the meantime your video has given me my Alys fix. Thank you.
I hadn't thought about that aspect with the lanterns. Maybe they are doing something we don't know about to keep them environmentally friendly?
I loved it! It helped me find inspiration for own garden area. I wish you lived in Seattle and knew the local contractors so I could hire you, our design styles are so similar and I love your personality!

Alys beach is insane. The only strange part was…it feels like there’s nobody there. We only saw a handful of people walking around or riding bikes.

You went to Florida during the pandemic? Far braver than I.
I live in South Florida & not all of Florida is affected...just like any other state during this pandemic there are pockets. If you take the necessary precautions like Valentina & her family did you will be just fine. We have many sunny outdoor and beautiful open air spaces with dining options, sandy warm beaches, etc. unlike other states in the USA so we are blessed🙏

I assume this was before the pandemic.
We went after lockdown ended, but even still we booked a stay that was sanitized and took every measure to social distance, wear masks, etc. Most of our time was spent walking the streets alone and on the uncrowded beach.
