any time I'm looking to understand a concept and I stumble upon one of your videos, I get so excited to hear the theme song. from biochem to medicine, you've helped me get through it all! thank you!!
1 MILLION SPECIES of bacteria with a handful of sand or glass of ocean water? This would've been mind-blowing enough if you said one million individual bacteria. ONE MILLION SPECIES that's way too many bacteria!
Professor dave can you explain me about hemolytic properties? As a person that doesn't speak english as my first language, can you kindly explain me what it means?
I don't know if you ever figured that out but it's a test to see whether the bacteria can lyse (kill) red blood cells. It can either completely kill them which would cause the blood plate to be clear (Beta), partially kill them and be green on the plate (alpha) or not kill them at all (gamma). Hope that helps
We started microbiology as part of our course, this vid was very helpful. Thanks (:
I don't understand half of the things you say in these videos but I'm slowly learning what they mean thx

You tube gives me a 15sec. commercial, followed by sets of your commercials. I don't sub. channels with commercials past the first.
Sets of my commercials? That doesn’t mean anything. I don’t have control over what commercials roll.
@@ProfessorDaveExplains it's all good prof. U don't need an entitled scumbag to sub to u.
TH-cam gives two ads sometimes, *on any monetized video.* It isn't in Dave's control.
