I saw the eclipse in Oregon a few years ago. Not too impressive even at 95% but then when it hits 100%, wow was that a amazing. Everyone was screaming and hollering, it was so cool. Definitely something to see in your lifetime.
@@mark2073 I saw one back in 2002 on the same day as my 31st birthday (what a gift from mother nature). We stood out there all day in 40 degree heat so we could reserve space for other member's of the Astronomical Society of South Australia to come and we could all be together in one group. One of the members actual did a lot of scouting the year before one where was the best place for us to be (either Ceduna or near Roxby Downs.). As it turns out, Ceduna gets cloudy in the afternoon right about Eclipse time and so we all headed inland. Sadly it was only about 28 seconds but WOW. The setting sun was stlil partially eclipsed and so it looked like a big bright shark fin.
I thought with a name like Morgan (ie Captain) you would have been a bit of a rum drinker😉. No matter mate, if we cross paths let’s share a Gentleman together, I would be humbled👍😎
Was Jill preparing Tea or Dinner? 🤣🤣 Ba ha! Daddy it's C😎😎L .... 😁. Gotta love Free Camping, that's our kinda thing (especially as there is less chance of others being there, we are more than happy to be self sufficient like you guys). Thank god it's Friday & another instalment! Thanks again! Cheers!
They sure do Craig. I have put 15,000 very hard Km’s on them now and they have not let me down once. The sidewalls are perfect, and I have done a lot of rocky and stony driving. I find I have to drop the pressure a little more on these then the BFG’s to get the same bagging, and that tells me the sidewalls are tougher on the Toyo’s. I’m sold on the brand and will not be going back to BFG’s👍😎
Great to see you loving the west. It's a long way for you to travel. Although you saw some areas 30 years ago I'm glad you are both enjoying yourselves. Is it just me, the editing or are you guys getting even more relaxed and chilled? Really happy you guys are doing it 👍👍👍
That’s for the kind words mate. I think we are getting more relaxed as we fall into a travelling routine and loosen our grip from any worries or responsibilities back home on the east coast. Cheers 👍😎
i reckon if you saw the water rising you would get up that ramp in double quick time.I struggle to believe people are so silly to worry about camping there. And if you are woken by heavy rain you may consider a strategic withdrawal.
Another great video. We haven’t been there since 1988 so it is wonderful to see your video. Now we are even more keen to return. One question Re your solar did that panel you replaced in an earlier video have a problem which is why you have a solar blanket in its place? I used the same ones and had an issue and thankfully warranty was quiet painless.
It’s a great location John, and having been there before as well I can tell you that it has not lost any of its grandeur. The panel I replaced in an earlier video died hence the reason I replaced it with a different brand of flexible panel, that’s why it looks different on the RTT. I did not have my solar blanket out in this video. Cheers John👍😎
@@JafffaAdventures unfortunate re the solar panel but I guess also lucky it wasn’t one of the other two as it will mean repositioning all of them to fit. I followed you and set mine up the same way but luckily the replacement was exactly the same size for me. Take care and thanks for the reply.
Another great video terry. Enjoying following you on your trip. Especially as we have been to many of the places you have. One quick question for you though, i am interested in the spare wheel bag you are running. I cant seem the get a good look at the brand. I am interested in getting one like it as it holds 4 maxtrax. Any info or comments you would like to give me would be appreciated. Safe travels. Steve
Thanks Steve, I appreciate you coming on the journey with us. The rubbish bag is a Drifta bag, BUT the rear trax pocket only holds two boards. I have searched high and low for one that holds 4 boards, but have not found one. Therefore, I have used the maxtrac brand spare wheel hook holder, and put the rubbish bag over the top of this. It works but it’s not ideal because if I need to get my trax, I have to take the rubbish bag off. If you do find a bag solution that holds 4, please let me know. Cheers👍😎
@@JafffaAdventures thanks terry. I will keep looking. I’m sure some manufacturer will realise the need to carry 4 boards on the back and make something to do it..they will make a fair bit of money if they do
Nice one Terry and Jill, One day I will be over there to check out these things too. Cheers Steve
I know you will mate, and you’ll have enough footage for spotlight on campgrounds to last you a lifetime😉😎. Go well my friend 👍
Another awesome spot and fantastic video... you must be getting close to Eclipse day now.
You are very observant mate, next Friday….Totality😉😎

Yep, exactly the same here. Even at 99% it’s a bit meh, but then it hits 100% and every hair stands on end, chillingly cool👍😎
Great vid again im partial to a Gentleman Jack my self .

Another good episode. Hutt Lagoon, another for the bucket list when I finally get to WA. 👍
It’s amazing mate, you will love it👍😎

It’s tea for us Rod, been here in Oz too long now to know what dinner even was😉😂. As always, thanks for joining us mate👍😎
I've always wanted to go to the Kalbarri Skywalk. Reminds me of the Grand Canyon Skywalk. Hopefully in 3 years time. 🤞 Thanks for sharing. 👍
That’s awesome, I’ve always wanted to do the Grand Canyon as well, hopefully in a couple years 😉😎
Great video guys
Those tyres have a big sidewall. Notice a difference to your old ones?
