@@JafffaAdventures Just checked the path of totality of the 2028 eclipse and it indicates it will go right past Sydney (where I'm at). I can't wait. I might take the day off, so I can go somewhere less crowded. 😁
It was a pretty emotional experience Craig. I could have cut that bit out but I like to keep my Jafffa videos as real as possible😉. Thanks for sharing👍😎
What a breathtaking experience. Thanks for taking us along. I've personally seen an eclipse when I was 7 or 8 yrs old. But too young to really appreciate what it was. I hope to see another one as an adult and this time to fully immerse myself to the whole experience. 🤞
How Awesome! When I was a teen (late 70's I think?) I was fortunate to be invited down to Mt. Gambier in S.A. to witness a total eclipse with a bus load of kids from the North of the State. It was an awesome experience sitting on top of the Blue Lake crater. The wind dropped, the temp dropped & there was total darkness. Even the animals got confused & all the street lights of Mt. Gambier turned on. It was certainly a very eerie feeling & an experience I will never forget! Glad you got to see this one! 👍
There’s another one running diagonally across Australia in 2025 mate, don’t miss that one. That’s for joining us on the journey Steve, that means a lot👍😎
So cool, I have seen two. Once when I was a kid around 1980 we were driving in southern Ontario and it got all dark for a while. Then a few years ago in Oregon.
Great story Mark. I was in southern Ontario for the 80 eclipse and my recollection was it was outside the path of totality, at least where I was in Wheatley. Cheers👍😎
Great stuff... seeing an eclipse is the sort of thing that will stick with you for ever. Thankfully there weren't any clouds getting in the way. If my memory serves me correctly back in 2002, those that gathered at Ceduna to watch the eclipse nearly missed out due the cloud layers that always hang around later in the day along the coast. Lucky for us out at Roxby Downs there weren't any to spoil our view. That was a cracker of an episode and I look forward to seeing next friday's... :)
It was amazing Brent. The shadow bands (which were really hard to see in my video unless you watched it on a large screen) are thin, wavy lines of alternating light and dark that can be seen moving and undulating in parallel on the white sheet that was on the ground. They happen immediately before and after a total solar eclipse. They are caused by the refraction from the Earths atmospheric turbulence which acts like lenses and prisms diverting the light's path. Stars twinkle at night for the same reason. Science is awesome👍😎
Saw it in Port Douglas. Was 6am ish. Sun came up then within a hour was total was crazy. The bird all stopped flying they were all quiet was so weird. Definitely a worth while experience no Matter the cost. I booked not knowing 😅 I asked after noticing that my accommodation was 3 times more then the week either side BUT worth ever cent.
Those scenes were out of this world! Hehe
😂😂. Yes, they really were👍😎
Wow. It must have been a surreal experience. I hope to experience it person one day. Thanks for sharing the experience. 👌
It was amazing mate. If you are in Australia, check out the path of the July 22nd 2028 eclipse, that sucker will be epic👍

Good stuff mate, and if memory serves, I agree Ceduna got nuked👍😎
Nothing to do with the eclipse but was that an osprey nest on the power pole behind you. Was good to see the eclipse and the atmosphere? In Exmouth
It was definitely a raptor next, possibly a sea eagle. Thanks for joining us mate👍😎
Pretty bloody cool Terry 🤙🤙,can I ask wat are the shadow bands you were looking for? Bring on next fridays episode 👍
