Don't see the point of playing the exercises without reference to the sheet music but thanks.... I do have a copy of this book, will have to revisit it. Seems more approachable than George Van Eps Harmonic Mechanism encyclopedias - they're overwhelming! P.S. - Oh, I see you cited a source for the sheet music in a previous installment of this series, thanks!
Go to the Jimmy Wyble Tribute Facebook group- you can download these exercises (and much more) from the FILES link located on the top header of the group page.
Hello Dave - Examples 1-23 (from the book) outline "sound" as Jimmy described it. They're more "introductory", and self explanatory - they primarily use a single interval moving towards a single note. This may explain why we don't have an audio recording of those basic examples. If you don't have a copy, please download the Classical/Country book from the Jimmy Wyble Tribute Facebook group; under "files". Enjoy!
Very cool Beth! I’ve heard him play a lot of these examples. Never heard this before.
This is an amazing "barn find"!

Amazing. Are you planning on doing 1-24?
