Thank you, excellent tips As a previous dress shop owner and now one with a downsizing/organizing business...Tip 11: Always buy the right size. Stop caring about the size number, care about the way it fits. Sizing isn't perfectly true anymore. Try on everything a size you think, a size bigger, and a size smaller. Choose the perfect fit of that garment. Tip 12: unless you L-O-V-E an item, do not buy it. People have way too many items. Their purchases get lost in the sea of purchases...less can actually be way way more. If you love an item you will enjoy wearing or using it...if it is so so or ify, you just spent money to spend it.
Shoe tip: Keep a travel hairspray (preferably cheap) in your handbag when you’re wearing heels to spray on the bottoms. So many times we start walking on unexpectedly slippery floors. If you spray and wait a couple seconds for it to dry, you get added traction!
Great video and tips. I discovered a tip last week I’ve never heard mentioned on anyone’s channel. High heel shoes can be cut down to make the heel lower. Seriously you need to include this in your tips. I just had three pairs adjusted by my local cobbler, three pair of shoes you recommended. The python boots, the printed summer sandals by Louise et Cie you featured last year in a dress video and a tan pair of Sam Edelman heels with the ankle strap and studs. Depends on the shoe and heel but most can be adjusted 1/4 to 1/2 inch, makes all the difference in comfort. Cost at my cobbler 12.00 per pair. It turns a pair of heels I might not wear that often into a pair I can wear daily. I can’t believe I never knew this was possible, my cobbler said he does it all the time and no effect on the overall look of the shoes. The best tip ever for heels.
I tried o lower a heel on a shoe, one thing to mention to others is: how the bottom of the shoe is designed will determine if the shoe can be lowered. Some can, some cannot be lowered because of the design of the shoe bottom.
It's truly does depend on the shoe. High heels have a metal spine, it's made a certain way and can break. That's why "some" shoes will squeak, the spine is broken.
I like to "joosh up my sleeves" (that's what I think you are saying when you suggest pushing up your sleeves to add interest) but I have had trouble keeping them in place. I have looked for sleeve garters but they were thick (often black) obvious elastic bands and I was not a fan. Pony tail holders were tight and uncomfortable and also showed against clothes. Then I thought medium weight clear bead string (about $4 in the jewelry making section of a craft store for many many yards of stretching invisible thin string). Perfect solution. I just measure the string I need by looping it loosely over the part of my forearm where I want my cuff to land, cut and tie the string in an overhand knot; put that on over the long sleeve and "joosh up the sleeve." Sleeves on blouses of all types as well as cardigans and sweaters stay put and look nice all day long without showing that there is anything holding them in place and without cutting off the blood-flow to my fingers. Husband says I should sell this as a product but how are you gonna make money on something that anyone can make multiples for pennies a piece. There ya go - one of my VERY favorite style secrets. I hope somebody uses this idea - it's been a game changer for me.
Thanks Erin! I have a tip to add. When you're caught outside of home and don't have any static guard, you can do this. Use some liquid soap from the ladies room. Simply put some soap in your palms, rub back and forth into your palms and then rub your legs or panty hose with your palms. It stops static instantly and has saved me more than once!
This is an odd one but I swear by it. I don’t have well defined angular shoulders that make clothes drape so nicely and so I actually miss shoulder pads. My hack is to buy the silicone bra cup adhesive enhancers from amazon in size D in the clear color. I stick the teardrop shaped cups just over the edge of my shoulders with the widest part of the cup on the outside of my shoulder and the narrower part under my bra strap, trimming the top so it doesn’t poke out from the neck of my shirts. They are virtually undetectable taking on my own skin tone, show no edges, and give a very natural up-curve to my rounded shoulders without adding bulk like 80s pads did. They make shirts and dresses look much crisper and my waist smaller by comparison. They stick really well and can be reused many times.
Awesome tips, thank you!! I use the mini hair claws (sold in a package of six at the dollar store) for many things! I have a ruler (banana) body type & wear wrap dresses/blouses to give the illusion of curves and sometimes I need a little extra lift or asymmetry to take it up a notch & will use these to pull up the side of a dress or skirt & you’d never know it didn’t come like that. They don’t Ruin fabric like a safety pins can. I use to keep low cut tops together, pull up sagging hemline (But after this video I’m going to invest in double-sided tape- much more discrete than the mini hair claws). I use in varying sizes around the house in decorating, to give my curtains different looks or pull them back/make them shorter or hold together to block gaps of sun from getting in. I’ve used them w/long shirts to create the knotted tie in the front look, hike up dresses so they’re shorter, to add shape to oversized Free People dresses, keep formal wear shawls up on my shoulders, cinch pants, Hold cardigans & bathing suit cover ups together, create different looks with scarfs, form racer back bras & even to hold down the belts (They are kind of bulky for the belt purpose)! They’re forgiving if you want to pull your bangs off your face and let your hair down later for a different hairstyle, sans creases or cowlicks. They’re a lifesaver when growing out bangs, you can twist bangs in different styles & affix the “do” with multiple mini claws, kinda Like a 90s Gwen Stefani look 😊 Oh...and added bonus, they make fantastic cat toys!
The foot spray sounds awesome! My tip for afterward when your feet are swollen and in pain, VODKA. I know right! You are drinking it, not spraying it on your feet, sublingual vodka works every time. It's never let me down, hand to god.
Great tips! In the bra section I would add, if you're a C+ I highly recommend a "bra cami" which is a camisole with a shelf bra, keeps everything in place comfortably without the discomfort of a bra. Some ladies like 24 hour support and a bra cami is great for that.
For a tight waistline, buy a bag of button extenders from Amazon. These are brilliant. You can even link two together. I do this because I have scars from cancer surgery round my middle. Going up a size means the bum doesn't fit. You can, temporarily do this with an elastic band. Loop the band through the button hole then hook it around the button. It works very well with jeans.
The thing about bras, I went to my local bra specialist and the lady told me that not only does my bra size change during life but that the brands have different sizing practices and I can have a "D" cup for one brand and a "G" cup for other.
Great tips Erin. Double sided tape is a life saver! I use it on the back of my heel to keep those ankle socks from slipping off into my shoes. Love your videos and all the advice and encouragement you give us. We girls gotta stick together and build each other up!
Nathalie Blazevich I love that tip of using double sided tape for the ankle socks. Mine always slouch down and end up bunched up on my foot. Super annoying. Thanks for sharing.
Oh my goodness! I’m so glad you mentioned this - I have a bunch of no show socks not getting any use because of the slipping and bunching but their the only socks that go with the shoes I wanna wear! Thank you thank you!!
That phone cord hair elastic - you can substitute it with a slice from your socks or stockings (I've repurposed all my old opaque knee highs). They don't crease or damage your hair either and they're a lot more durable.
Erin, I found you last October (2018) and I just have to say that you are an amazing person! When I watch your show I relax, I laugh and get educated all at the same time. Thurelly enjoy your show. I have watched several TH-cam shows and your's is by far the most informative and useful. I can take what you tell us and directly implement it into my life. THANK YOU! Ladybug
I use a supermarket version of the invisi-bobble for hair and find it very useful, as I wear my hair high in a fluffy bun. Mine has doubled up on itself so reduced in size as the spirals sit perfectly together, so all I do is stretch it and don't need to wind it around now, it's very quick and doesn't tug at my fine hair, it gives my hair a slightly more pooofed out look and makes life simpler. Great tips Erin x
I had a mastectomy and my Dr. made the decision to leave me with a constantly erect nipple without consulting me before surgery. It is obvious in any type of cotton or other thin fabric top. I buy the pasties nipple covers from Amazon and they cover the issue! They stick on pretty well but need to be washed with soap and water after each use. I used band aids before I discovered the pasties. Amazon has several types of stick on bras to hold up the girls when a regular bra would show or is open in the back. My most helpful tip is to get the clothing and jewelry, shoes, purse, etc. out the night before. That way I am not hunting around for anything at the last minute and getting anxious about looking my best. Erin, you are great at what you do, so just keep those wonderful videos coming our way. Thank you!,
Cheryl Goodman oh my goodness... the NIPPLES have been an issue my entire life. As a gymnast in highschool I was mortified. I wore so many bandaides, it was rediculous! As an adult, I found nipple covers at Walmart. Super cheap and last forever. I wash them in the shower with me once a week. I just had to respond to you since I had this issue my entire life!
Omg that dr should be arrested. I am so sorry you have to experience such a thing. As if you weren't under enough stress already. You are in my prayers.
@@AjniraBloom Ajnira, you can get small clear hair elastics at Big Lots, some dollar stores, Target in the regular haircare section. They are fantastic for a lot of things!
Double sided tape around your heel to hold those “invisible” socketts, so they actually stay up on your ankle. Worn with oxfords, ballet flats, sneakers, etc.
Oh my gosh, Erin. Perfect timing. Just got bak from a trade show yesterday and my feet have been killing me! Have another event later this month and will be taking the foot spray. Love the idea of keeping this in the event booth to share with colleagues who are also in pain. Perfect since it's a spray it can be shareable. You have saved us😊
I thought this would be another video that I’ve heard 💯 times before from others. Hallelujah it was full of new ideas and products that I will try! BTW I purchased the black top with the white pleat sleeve and white collar. I wore it yesterday and it was so cute. Thank you.
Bra extensions are the best! I used them after having kids because my rib cage would expand after pregnancy for about a year but then everything went back into place and they were a perfect solution!!
These are such great tips and a lot of them I hadn't heard of before! I'm thinking about that foot spray for my upcoming Disney trip...it sounds like a lifesaver! I also need to grab those bra clips...I have so many racerback tank tops and not enough racerback bras...that's a really simple and easy solution. 😊
I have another shoe hack/tip that works really well. I have a pair of seude Marc Fisher Seude Booties that were too tight. I put on thicker socks (like sports socks) with the shoes then used a warm blow dryer on the tight areas. Let the area cool completely before heating the areas again. This stretched out the snug areas without impacting the rest of the shoe. Thank you for the great tips!! The balls of my feet thank you immensely! 😊
JRob great idea! I have a similar problem for some ankle Splendid boots that I bought online final sale. Do you wear the boot with the socks on while blowdrying the tight area?
Great tip!! Did you know that blowdryers followed up with Cold air from compression spray can remove dents from stainless steel appliances? Similar concept. I haven’t tried it...but this is but I heard LOL
Erin, these are awesome tips. I have to try the blister blocker and foot spray. Another tip is that if you purchase shoes at Nordstrom they can also stretch them...saving a trip to the cobbler. I've done it a few times and it works like magic. Thanks!
Good tips! Try and find a shoe repair person nowadays -- they are a dying breed! 😕 I agree that double-sided tape is a lifesaver for so many things! I need to wear orthotic insoles with my sandals and double-stick tape keeps them from sliding out.
Great tips! I'll be purchasing some of the items mentioned. Do you have tip on how to stop your feet from sliding forward over the front of open toed heeled sandals?
JoAnn Chaloux I hate when that happens. I was wondering If putting some moleskin’s or a bandaid on the balls of my feet would add some traction so they don’t spill over the top. I’ll try it and let you know!
I have a great shoe hack! I almost never wear hosiery with closed toed shoes. To keep my feet from sweating and forming blisters I ALWAYS puff a little baby powder in them and on my feet beforehand. It works every time!!
Aquaphor works great on your feet in a pinch. I ran marathons and put on under socks before my runs. I got NO blisters or rubs!! Aquaphor helps heal rubs or cuts quickly too.
I was recently at a wedding shower and was invited to an impromptu after party with the bride and friends and I literally had to pull off & stop at Rite Aid on the way to buy some foot spray & powder because my feet were slipping and sliding Inside my sandals So badly in the East Coast humidity… The foot products were a lifesaver! I got to wake up blister free and wear the shoes again throughout my triup!
Love your tips. I use the armpit sheild...but if I don't have any I will grab a couple of mini thin pads and wrap around my clothing armpit area. I feel more confident that I will not have any sweat showing. I don't have Botox in my armpits and sweat like a regular human...lol. it arlso safes on stinky clothes. Xoxox
You are a lifesaver!!! :) Going to a wedding and have been looking for no show peds to keep my heel from rubbing in my heels and never knew about those heel pads!! I found some but then the problem was my foot slid around in my heel! ugh! These will be perfect!! Thank you!! There are MANY useful tips in this video!! You are the BEST!! Thankful for you! xo
I never thought of the double sided tape idea! Great tip! And those ponytail cords are now on order! I am forever putting my hair up to swim only to face that horrid line across the back of my hair when I take my hair down. No more! Thank you!
Enjoyed this video Erin. I'm not sure if you've actually used those clear heel covers for walking on grass but I thought they were such a great idea and so I bought them for my daughters wedding (which was outdoors) and within a minute I had lost one in the grass. Unfortunately they did not work well for me at all. I basically walked down the isle on my tiptoes, lol. Has anyone had luck with a certain brand of these?
Very timely video with great tips. Prom Season is here. The peak time of year for weddings is approaching. This practical advice will help avoid common wardrobe pitfalls and painful situations.
Great tips Erin! The double-sided tape is a lifesaver! I have not ever tried the heel protector and I am excited to try those! LOL........At 60 it's so hard to walk around on your toes in the grass at special events!
Iron on hem tape! It’s essentially double sided tape, but more secure since it’s activated by the heat of your iron. Great for travel since it’s more secure, and a great fix for when you can’t take something to the tailor right away
Thank you Erin! This video was epic and perfect timing for the wedding season. I especially love the shoe tips and I'll be hitting a few links below. xoxo
Thanks for this!!! I have three trips upcoming and I leave on Friday for the first one....I ordered the Sole Serum Foot Gel and the Heavenly Heelz Heel Pads. It's great you suggest products from Amazon because I know these will arrive Friday morning before I leave Friday afternoon. I am guessing my feet will thank me on these upcoming trips where I am on my feet ALL day! Blessings!
BEFORE PLACING SHOES IN THE FREEZER: insert a strong plastic bag filled with water. As the water freezes and expands it stretches the shoe. And that's how it's done.😉
GREAT TIPS! I must say I need to invest in tons of heavenly heel foot pads... I have so many shoes that cut into the tops of my feet too just as much as my heels. I hope you have a great week!
Great tips, can I add my own? Invisibelt! It’s exactly that, a clear belt with an unnoticeable closure on it so your blouse can lay flat on top of it, instead of having that buckle bulge.
Hi Erin..thanx so much for all your great ideas n tips. Like the scuff tip for black shoes. 😃💖 n your ideas for the heels so your feet dont hurt. N i loved your video!! Great information. !💖💖💕💕😃😃
Thanks! The heel pads really work- I found some Marc Jacobs pumps that I adore but they were a teeny bit long so the heel was slipping around...no more! :)
Hi from England. Thanks for this. Off from this, what colour is your lipstick? I have a lot of trouble finding a colour that suits me and yours seems just the colour. Thank you again for doing these videos.
Fabulous and informative, thank you Erin...can I ask, the thick white ball of foot pads that you show, are they branded because they're what I need, thank you from the UK !! 🥰
Hi Erin, I really like your channel. Since this video is the latest, I wonder if you can make one video for people with dark hair. I am white with dark brown hair and still having problems finding the best combination of colors that look great on me. Thanks!
Love your videos - The only thing I would add is to be careful with shoes - I am older and wore high heels all my life and I am now paying for it - If you have to wear heels get a good fit and try not to go over 2-2.5 inches - I know this is not what young women want to hear but your body changes and knees and back are affected when you wear really high heels -
Yes, that was awesome. Thank you so much. I especially loved the clear plastic heel protector. I have never heard of that. I live in Boston, MA where the sidewalks are brick and some cobble stone streets. I can not tell you, how many heels I have ruined in my life, slipping between those darn cracks in the brick pavement. Every time I get dolled up and go to the theater, I freak out because I know my heels are going to catch in the bricks. I end up walking on tip toe. Honestly, that was the greatest styling trick...ever. I knew most of all your other tips except the pull up Nippies for larger breasted girls. I might try that one this summer. There is nothing I hate worse than constantly seeing young women whose bra straps are showing. Or they are not wearing the correct under garments. I want to pull them a side and give them a style lesson. Thanks again. Very informative :-)
Enjoyed the tips, very useful. Have you consider a Cato try on haul? They are budget family and seem to be have trendy clothing. In Texas they are in nearly every small town.
Instead of the plastic clips for racer-back tops (which I have and they’re great), you can also use a paper clip. Just thread the straps securely through it. You can use both, the special clips and the paper clips, in the front, if your top is cut out too much.
Loved this video. I have the tape and use it ALL the time. I think you’re funny too! I liked the one where you said, ( it makes me just want to smack em ) lol.
Thank you, excellent tips

Shoe tip: Keep a travel hairspray (preferably cheap) in your handbag when you’re wearing heels to spray on the bottoms. So many times we start walking on unexpectedly slippery floors. If you spray and wait a couple seconds for it to dry, you get added traction!
Lianna Sapien wow thank you!
Thanks for the tip - I almost fell years ago in a restaurant with slippery floors.
Great video and tips. I discovered a tip last week I’ve never heard mentioned on anyone’s channel. High heel shoes can be cut down to make the heel lower.

Tats a great tip with the soap. This also work with lotion.
This also works with just water. Just rub it on your legs or stockings.
No chemicals on your clothes

Fashion fix for lint and pet hair: use a pair of rubber dishwashing gloves followed by a lint brush. The gloves roll all the lint to one spot.
And, depending on the fabric, if you get the dish gloves a bit wet, it also works great!! I haven't tried it dry! I will!

Fantastic tips, Erin! These fixes are game changers, for sure. Thank you so much! xo
Thank you SO much for watching! Erin xo
Ball of foot cushion would help. Can get a thin one if would make shoes too tight.
I have a great shoe hack! I almost never wear hosiery with closed toed shoes. To keep my feet from sweating and forming blisters I ALWAYS puff a little baby powder in them and on my feet beforehand. It works every time!!
Baking soda works also
Aquaphor works great on your feet in a pinch. I ran marathons and put on under socks before my runs. I got NO blisters or rubs!! Aquaphor helps heal rubs or cuts quickly too.
That is a great tip. Thank you for sharing! xo
Absolutely fantastic tips, thank you so much, Erin! 😘
Omg so excited about the foot spray and serum. I’ve never even heard of those. Thank you so much Erin! 😘
Xoxox
Those panty liners are fantastic for putting in your shoes if you have a problem with perspiration
Thankful for you! xo
Excellent tutorial. Lots of wonderful tips. Thank you so much.
I never thought of the double sided tape idea! Great tip! And those ponytail cords are now on order! I am forever putting my hair up to swim only to face that horrid line across the back of my hair when I take my hair down. No more! Thank you!
katkat521 Albeit a bit 80’s, if you have big hair, I find scrunchies are a good solution also. Yes I am wearing one on my wrist right now LOL

Awesome tips! Your cheekbones are soooo nice....you look awesome when you pull your hair back and "show them off"!!!💁💁💁
Erin this was so helpful! Crazy amazing what they come up with especially the blister spray. 😘
I'm so glad you found this helpful! Blister spray is a game changer. xo
Your dress is to die for, stunning!!
Thank you, Jeanette! xo
AKA Stitch Witchery
Hey Erin! Great video & awesome tips. You little magician you. My cart is full once again. Thank you, Marilyn xo
Thank you Erin!
This video was epic and perfect timing for the wedding season. I especially love the shoe tips and I'll be hitting a few links below. xoxo
Thank you SO much for watching! Erin xo
Great tips!! Erin I would love to know tips on choosing a what colors look good on us with wardrobe and make up I never know what looks good on me! 💕💕
Blessings!
If you have slipage at the heel, put a thin piece of leather or one of those pads at the ball of your foot. That pushes the heel back a bit.
Where would one get an invisbelt? Never heard of it before. Great tip, thx.

Great tips Erin! Thanks so very much! May I ask where I can get this earrings you are wearing? I love them!
I honestly have every one of the feet/shoe fixes you mention here. Those foot sprays and blister blockers really amazed me because they do work.
Right?! so good! xo
Loved this!! My excitement about the pasties with lift was as high as yours--it WAS good find!!
Thanks! The heel pads really work- I found some Marc Jacobs pumps that I adore but they were a teeny bit long so the heel was slipping around...no more! :)

Hi Erin. First time I saw this video. I bought the foot spray. You look great with straight hair.
Love all your videos
I used a foot spray/gel at Disney world. It works absolutely fabulous, I was on my feet all day and virtually no pain.
Oh my gosh, yes! So helpful Erin 😊👍. Some of these I knew but others I didn’t. Can’t wait to give some of these a try! Xoxo 😘 Deb
Great tips! Definitely will incorporate them into my wardrobe so there won’t be any malfunctions! ♥️
Thank you SO much for watching! Erin xo
YOU are that princess big sister I have always wanted but never had! (Although yes, you are younger and wiser than am I! ) xo xo xo
Hi from England. Thanks for this. Off from this, what colour is your lipstick? I have a lot of trouble finding a colour that suits me and yours seems just the colour. Thank you again for doing these videos.
Try Notorious by Bare Minerals

Fabulous and informative, thank you Erin...can I ask, the thick white ball of foot pads that you show, are they branded because they're what I need, thank you from the UK !! 🥰
Thank you so much. Great fashion information. 🙏🌸
Hi Erin, I really like your channel. Since this video is the latest, I wonder if you can make one video for people with dark hair. I am white with dark brown hair and still having problems finding the best combination of colors that look great on me. Thanks!
Thank you so much especially the high heel (I call them high kill) tips!
Great tips 4 all the ladies !
Thank you! xo
Wow, these were really helpful and new. I wasn't expecting that. Amazingggg❤❤❤❤❤❤
So many great ideas. Great video that can used as a reference in the future. Enjoyed!
Great ideas Erin, thanks so much! I’m getting ready to go to a wedding and then vacation in another week, so I ordered some of your suggestions.
Love your videos - The only thing I would add is to be careful with shoes - I am older and wore high heels all my life and I am now paying for it - If you have to wear heels get a good fit and try not to go over 2-2.5 inches - I know this is not what young women want to hear but your body changes and knees and back are affected when you wear really high heels -
Become addicted to your videos, lately 🙂 Valuable information about everything for women regardless of the age. Thank you🙏 😊🤗❤💐💐💐
SO glad you find them helpful, Ramona! xo
how do you put those bra clips on lol. my arms can't bend that far hahaha.
Always appreciate your tips! That top color is gorgeous on you. Can you tell us where you got it?
Erin - these tips are awesome - thank you! There are three I can’t live without. Love you and your content!
Thank you SO much for watching! Erin xo
Great tips! Will definitely try the foot spray.
It's so good! Give it a try, Heather! xo
Hi Erin. I love the blue lace you're wearing in this video! Is it a top? A dress? Where can I buy it?
Thanks Erin!! Great tips!!
The Spiral Hair Ties are ok, when removing it the tie pulls on your hair so beware.
Enjoyed the tips, very useful. Have you consider a Cato try on haul? They are budget family and seem to be have trendy clothing. In Texas they are in nearly every small town.
This video was TOTALLY AMAZING Great tips for real issues Thanks for caring 🌟💗
Instead of the plastic clips for racer-back tops (which I have and they’re great), you can also use a paper clip. Just thread the straps securely through it. You can use both, the special clips and the paper clips, in the front, if your top is cut out too much.
Yes! Great idea! xo
Loved this video. I have the tape and use it ALL the time. I think you’re funny too! I liked the one where you said, ( it makes me just want to smack em ) lol.
