I've read so many conflicting things about the GT500 brake kit fitting/not fitting the stock 19 inch brembo brake wheels. Thank you VERY much for clearing that up!!
To add to traction will you be installing the Ford Performance carbon fiber clutch packs in differential? Would be a great video too! They are impossible to find now, but ETA is around Sept of this year for them finally being available again.
I don't think 18" wheels will fit over these brakes. The spokes may clear, but the OD may be too large. These Brembo package 19" wheels have 0.060" between the calipers and the spokes. Its close but it works!
Those zip ties gunna rip thru the hose in a few months. Ask me how I know. And those factory 4 pot calipers 14in rotors work as good but are 30lbs lighter than the gt500 stuff. So this was a complete downgrade but otherwise a good vid.
@@Mustang-Geek I hope your channel gets more traction. Really loved your Edlebrock supercharger videos, that's what I have on my 2011. It's so hard to find videos on it.

Glad I could help!
I bought those last year at $1949. They were on sale I got lucky. They are amazing!
It IS a really nice kit. OEM quality stuff can't be overstated.
I would have appreciated hearing torque specs stated in the video, but thats my only gripe! Great content!
Good point, though the Ford instructions are very good: performanceparts.ford.com/download/instructionsheets/FORDINSTSHTM-2300-T.PDF

I believe these cars already have carbon differential clutches.

Also the 2013-2014 Ford Racing/Ford Performance Brake Cooling Duct kit M-2004-MBA is so hard to find you will have better luck finding bigfoot.
Interesting. Is that kit no longer available?
@@Mustang-Geek Yeah it was part of the 2013 Laguna Seca. Here is the link. It is discountinued. www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-boss-brakeduct-kit-13.html
@@defiance772 Thanks for the tip!
@@defiance772 Kenny Brown has a nice duct kit...but connecting them to the bumper is always a challenge.
What's the difference in the brake lines? I found the gt500 calipers but I want to make sure I have the right lines and parts
I honestly don't recall. The kit came with new hoses, so I used them :)
The only knock I have, is this kit should have come with ss brake lines, jmo.
Considering this is an OEM style kit, I don't think Ford likes SS lines for street use.
Is there 1/2" between the wheel and the caliper? I have 18 inch wheels and I would like to upgrade to this setup.

That cross pin bolt does not like to come out peacefully. That's all i have to say.
There is often some pretty legit Loctite on it!
That kit probably cost as much as a supercharger kit. LOL!
No. It's $2850
