My dad pulled a 2-PR International corn picker with a Super H. He never had any problems pulling it with a wagon full of corn in the Missouri River hills of South Dakota.
We owned a 5 bottom fully mounted Massey Ferguson plow that we bought new in about 65 and used it with our MF85 for twenty years. No complaints whatever with it .
I went down the 3 wheeler rabbit hole the other day, it's my newest fascination of things to aquire. I'm blown away at the market for them right now and how certain models are actually really collectable. That's a nice looking Yamahammer
Those O4 are cool. I have one with the citrus fenders and hand clutch and I can tell you that they are extremely hot to run in a parade. Nothing but hot air blowing on you.
@@FarmallFanatic April pull the single role in the small gravity wagon not one of the high sides. I had one low sites you put two row on there and she’ll snort. The single row works great. I do your corn for deer corn.
For the IH O-4, if it wouldn't have been labeled as an OS-4, the nomenclature would be SO-4 for Super O-4. Those would be the upgraded models made in 1953-54.
I know the chesleys. They auctioned a lot when I was a young man. I believe they used to auction in a place called little hope. We went there for lots of produce, animals, smalls, and equipment.
I pulled a new idea 323 with my Farmall A in a flatter field and a 1PR behind a super C similar terrain. Haa to be no mud when using that small of a tractor
❤I saw a tractor @ the Harrisburg airport, had Black Hawk printed on it. Posted it to my community page..thought it was a Farmall from the back. Thought of you brother 💪🏼❤ Red Power
Someone below said the H is a '47, but check the hood... I see a small hole where the 1 gallon gasoline fuel tank filler would be on an early distillate tractor ('38 ish?), so I think that part of the tractor doesn't match.
I'd do the picker with the MTA because it is a live PTO. The M has the power but if the picker starts to gag and you stop it plugs. Amazing how many pickers have bent sheet metal from the points driving into the dirt on a bend in the field.
@@FarmallFanatic They looked pretty good. New Idea had the 'Bumper to Bumper' warranty sticker for one year after purchase. Trouble is you usually had all the corn picked in two weeks.
One day i will have an O-4 or O-6. I currently have two ford vineyards and two ford orchards. Local tractor butcher has a couple, wont sell whole, parts only, some dont look too bad either, kind of a shame.
Actually I didn't know until an older uncle said that the belt pulley should be removed for extended time without use. The bearings will go bad from bouncing around without rotating
@@FarmallFanatic at Loyalsock tractor show 18 years ago they featured IH. A former IH engineer George Louge who was there around 1950-55? In construction equipment said they learned about shipping dozers on rail cars brindled the bearings in all the rollers . They learned to put boards on the rail cars for cushion under the tracks. My wife's uncle George was also there with a display as he was IH ag engineer at mainly Hinsdale from 1956-81. I can remember that weekend as my oldest son was born then
Your M will have no problem with a one row pull type picker. We pulled a one row Woods Bros. one row picker for over ten years with our 47 JD B or our 49 JD A with no problem.
@@FarmallFanatic I do remember one mid December when because of bad weather we were still picking corn with several inches of snow on the ground which was only partially frozen. I was in high school at the time and had to help my dad who was pulling the one row Woods Bros. picker and grain wagon with our 49 JD A. We had to hook a 30 foot log chain to the front frame of the A with the other end hooked to the drawbar of our 47 B which I drove along ahead of the A and picker in order to pull the A through soft spots when it broke through the partially frozen ground. It was quite a deal but we got the corn out without getting hopelessly mired up.
IH made different orchard tractors for different fruit farmers. Apple tractors didn't require as much sheet metal as citrus tractors. It depended on what the farmer wanted, or could afford.
M would have no trouble with 1 row picker I've done it in200 bu corn. It's slow but the wagon filled fast. Side by side Ih plow bottoms had less angle and gentler throw than JD. 50 years ago IH outsold JD 3 to 1 even to the green crowd.
Hey F, F ,you're A will pull that N Idea ,two wheel wagon 35 40 bushel, but these Auctions should hire you you do a great job of bringing this to us
You are right Paul, and the only problem an "A" would give is if a person is on hilly ground with a loaded wagon, yikes,,
Thx again FF, nice twist, showing the toys…logged many an hour pulling a 2 row New Idea corn picker…take care hoss🇺🇸
Thanks u2 👊

This one is tempting...it could go for stupid money 💰
Enjoyed your video Gino have a great day.
Thanks u2
Love those old Gravleys....
That old Ford was a dream to play with, the same woman with the layland owned that tractor too
Yea we got the story
We called that dohicky a pulley.
Idk. Whenever the cultivator, and picker weren't on the M the fenders were on.
Looks like a good auction.
@@brycewiborg8095 is that what that is? Shew...lol...yea fun auction and fairly close to home

I bet a lot of those fenders are sitting in barns
Is there a part 2 this video I want to see what the Snap-on box goes for
Saturday
@@FarmallFanatic Excellent
@FarmallFanatic what time Pacific? being that pacific time is the only relevant time!
Your h pull the one roll picker. I’ve actually had mine hooked to a two row little too much but the one row that I have works great with the H
And a wagon too?
@@FarmallFanatic April pull the single role in the small gravity wagon not one of the high sides. I had one low sites you put two row on there and she’ll snort. The single row works great. I do your corn for deer corn.
I was thinking an H would pull the picker.
Omg Red Power toys...very cool!
I know right ✅️

Good point
Is that a Yamaha trike I haven't seen one of those since the early eighties
Yep
i have a 200cc honda 3 wheeler, that yamaha was pretty nice
It's in good shape
Yes a cub disk 4a 😊
I know the chesleys. They auctioned a lot when I was a young man. I believe they used to auction in a place called little hope. We went there for lots of produce, animals, smalls, and equipment.
Yeah I think that's his brother
There was also an older man. I presume it was the father.

That set of disks is for the cub, pulls great behind one.
👍
U should do a 1/16 scale toy collection video would love to see it 😄
Maybe after this sale
Nice
I pulled a 1 row picker with a VAC .
That O-4 would look good in our stables. It's been a minute since i been in your area.
It's in great shape

Yeah I'll go check
Is that one of those little tractors in a box you got me for Christmas?
Yea u sent it back

These tractors are
Eighty years old i'm sure a lot of the sheet metal doesn't match

I don't remember if this one had bent points

I got a super w-4. Handiness little tractor you could ask for. I know where an o-4 is that I gotta get my hands on lol
That's what I hear
Yes you M would pull it at least my M did. Great picker.
Yea I thought so
Lurking 👀

@ericthatcher3462 You guys got lucky
Interesting that the O-4 doesn’t have orchard fenders.
Yeah I kind of gave my opinion as to why...ol heaters in the summer

The h is a 1947 model ive got a 50 model and i just acquired a ih 10 ft disk to pull behind it i believe its a 370 but im not for sure
That's gonna be a good combination
Post how much the super 717 goes for!....
Will do
Buddy i went to my dr today and found out i have red blood so should I buy a farmall ???
Correct
If I read tractor data correctly the H is a 1947
Yes

No

Yep 4a
That 0 4 is a fairly rare bird...
Definitely
Earlier than 1947.
The H is August 1947 with that serial number; of course that doesnt guarantee everything on the tractor is 100% original.
True
Lesgo Brandon let's go
💥Boom💥
You could fill a few holes in your toy collection...
I did lol
That Leyland has a problem with the diff lock other then that it ran and worked good. I know the person who owned it
Toys, my kryptonite 😅
Especially red lol
AC WD converted to 3 point is a much more useful tractor.
Agree
1952 H
Late model ✨️
Will there be online bidding?
before it became british leyland they where really nuffields a better tractor i think not popular in uk.
Thanks 👊
I dont know if i would call those fenders useless ,they most likely have saved alot of lives ,
Well those weren't my words lol
