This was one of my friend's favourite songs. I remember lying in his bed listening to it over and over. He died unexpectedly a few years after that. Still miss him and this song makes me think of him. And yet no cure has been found, allegedly.
I met my husband at the time this song was being released!!! We have been together since then and this song reminds me our first dates, we used to listen to it a lot. Until now my husband sometimes is silent as a monk and ... we love each other more and more as time goes by!!!! This song is adorable!!!!

...highly underrated 1999/ 2000 single, from The Boys; mocking 70's Country Western music titles, It seems to be mostly a song about a (supposedly) Gay Man in a emotionally abusive / alcoholic relationship with someone who seems to be at the final stages (i.e. breakup), with his(?) now-silent demeanor(s)...but, the 'abused' seems to be egging it on, with his self-defeatist behavior; sorta reminds me of Everything But The Girl's 1996 track, "Wrong", as is the Video....PSB really took a chance with this moody lil' number.....they NEVER undermine the intelligence of their 'core' audience, tho...Kudos...

The video was mind blowing for me. The opening sequence is by a genius. One of the best music videos I've ever seen or will ever see again. Simple but "ENCHANTING". The idea is great. Someone should copy it and even improve it. Thanks for reminding me. I'll listen to it again.
