I am having a very difficult time deciding between the P90 and HB pickups. I'd like to get the middle of the road Standard series. Best return on money soent IMO but really having a hard time.
Crap this good. Vocals, guitar, percussion and base all melt the soul…. New Yamaha is close to the CB Revstar but I want The P90 in the stop tail with full block inlays..😎👍🇦🇺
Yamaha has done a great job with this campaign showing their new products. Excellent players …maybe not high profile ….but pro players. Not to mention innovative instruments. Mark me on the list of people that want a revstar!
RSP crisp gold... amazing! Unfortunately that colour isn't available in the Element or Standard models, or even in a gold colour, that would be amazing! Come on Yamaha! Or are they working on a Chris Buck Signature model?
It gets worse for USA Customers… It doesen’t look like the GoldTop(and a couple of other finish options in the RSP tier) will be made available to the US market. Look up the Yamaha USA website vs Yamaha Canada or Yamaha Europe and see for yourself. This is a big blunder on Yamaha’s part
@@JCFernyeah I think that’s super weird to have Chris Buck play the Crisp Gold in the promotional video and then for some reason make that color unavailable in the U.S.? I was fortunate enough to realize this while I was in Japan last summer and picked up a Crisp Gold RSP02T there.
The gold color is icky. Chris’s original is a way nicer gold color. Sigh. Everyone was all “ I want Chris’s model” and Yamaha be like “have something that isn’t that”.
The Revstar series is nice, but really, Yamaha; you definitely should have kept at least one model of the Classic SG-2000 or SG-1000 in your actual line-up! Those are classic refined beasts that should still be available...
This is a very well done Ad, let the guitars in the midst of performance speak for themself. Yamaha just builds solid no frills guitars fro good prices. Not sure I’ll upgrade my current Revstar though?
Love the standard. Love the stainless frets and the carbon fibred reinforcement. I think Yamaha should approach their Revstar range like motorcycles that owners can personalise like a range of pick guard colours and materials (coloured alloys), pick-up covers (coloured allows) and hardware options (black, chrome, brushed and anodized metals). Great guitars but I think 'Revere' would be better. More chance of them getting the colloquial name of 'The Rev/A Rev' or 'Yamaha Rev'.
This idea to have a large selection of customizable colors and types of parts is brilliant and I think it would completely change Yamaha’s market share of the guitar world forever. You’re brilliant to make that connection with their approach to motorcycles

I know that's subjective but I think Yamaha got the best quality control in the industry. I have never played a bad Yamaha, doesn't matter the price point. Incredible instruments.
Chris has put this guitar on the map... I'm a huge fan of him, and this band and this video. I've a Yamaha AEX 520.... wonderful axe.... A Revstar is in my sights.... just because of Chris.... amazing player... Like Jeff Beck, nobody else has his touch.
the Professional RSP20X is a beauty ... too bad it doesn't have a neck binding ..... and I would have liked the back of the guitar to come in BLACK (no, I am not Bruce Wayne). Very beautiful instruments, well made and so much versatile. Even the Standard RSS20 is awesome.
A terrific advertisement. Had me some bad experiences with Yamaha guitars though. I even wrote the two letters for the two bad $1500 guitars I bought. No reply. Hope your experience is better.
This is really good, BUT I feel the guitar part could have been brought more forward in the mix with more presence and letting more low end through too.. but hey, that's just my 2cents!

Chris seems to always brings fresh notes, cords and his expression to each song in a long tradition of rock n roll lead guitar, unlike so many that just seem by comparison so average and uninspired. Long may it last, and that he takes a break before he ends up just going through the motions like one of his heros Uncle Eric.

The professional series Revstars aren't cheap but the standard series certainly demonstrate that you don't have to pay big money for a great guitar.

I started trying the Revstar recently and really digging the vibe!
I'm not convinced with the styling of the new larger chambered Revstar body. And if any of the carbon fiber additions, add anything to its sound.
