Just got this saw and it looks great ! I wanted the Dewalt RS7491 but damn its almost double in price and the top is actually smaller... Can't wait to try it this weekend :) Ah yes I saw in older review about the fence having plastic teeth, mine has metal teeth, no plastic at all !
It's a great table saw you will love it, the accuracy is on point. Right now with the holidays these saws go on sale which is a good thing cause they are pricey.
Great review man! I have been looking to buy a table saw for some time now, and I think I am sold on this one. If you had to do over again would you still choose this saw? Have you had any issues with it yet? I would like to get the best value for my money and with few headaches. Thanks again for this review.
Greatly appreciate the feedback, I would definitely buy it again. Remember I'm not doing fine woodwork like cabinets or fine furniture, but I have knocked out plenty of cutting boards and some farm style furniture like coffee tables and a dining table as well. Remember these go on sale close to the holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, you might want to check if they go on sale during other holidays to save some money. Thanks again.
Just bought this saw and have come to disappointing realization - because the riving knife is non-removable (at least in some convenient way) and can't be lowered out of the way, you can't use a smaller dado stack in it's default configuration! What the heck? Who would build it this way? So to do it, you have to either cut a slot in the bottom of the riving knife so it's removable or do some other modification. Otherwise I quite like the saw, but this might be a deal breaker. I should perhaps clarify that my dado set is relatively small - I'm going to check if a larger set will work as configured. It looks like even an 8" dado blade might not clear the riving knife...
Any updates, new notes, concerns you might have? I’m about to make the purchase and want to know everything. You’re the only person on TH-cam with videos on this saw.
Thanks, up to date I really don't have any complaints on this unit. I've actually been working on cutting boards, as well as built a coffee table, and a dining table in the past couple of weeks. *note I'm not doing any fine woodwork it's mostly cutting boards and and ripping 2x6 and 2x12's, other than than I love the accuracy on the fence, the track system rocks.
Someone did mention on my video about attachments, if there's a way to remove the riving knife and honestly since I haven't had the need for attachments, well I haven't really paid attention to that. Good luck on your purchase, and a just fyi they might got on sale close to Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays.
Thanks again for all the info! I just ordered and should have by the 24th. Amazon had it for $380 so I went ahead, hopefully I’m successful with it and can make a video or something haha
Yes I just love the fact that its extremely accurate, time saver for sure. Every now and then I still have the habit of checking with a tape measure, but it's just habit.
Unfortunately I wouldn't know detail on shipping out of the states, but think major companies like UPS and FedEx might have options for shipping out of the country.
I bought this saw pretty much based on the results of this video, and a few other videos showing very high reviews and recommendations. I have noticed something that I cannot seem to figure out with this saw. The riving knife seems to be permanently affixed and cannot be removed or replaced, which presents a few problems. If I want to use a thinner blade, the wood won't pass the riving knife without binding, which obviously is dangerous. Also, if I want to use certain table saw jigs that require the riving knife to be removed, again.....I am unable to do so. Is there a way to resolve this???
Haven't tried it, I know it can be dropped down, but dont know if it'll be out of the way enough for your liking. I pit the saw away for a bit so cant really double check at the moment
@@mrthuiwa There is a way to remove the riving knife, but it does require a little bit of minor surgery. I found this video to be very helpful th-cam.com/video/04qUXcxbgOI/w-d-xo.html
@@gilbertreyna3838 I keep going back to lowes to check it out and it's a solid saw. I think its beefier than the dewalt. I just don't want to pay $569 for it so I am gonna be patient and wait to see if it comes down for Father's day.
I just got this Metabo Jan-2022 om sale $350. But I see all gears are plastic, like the one that lift the blade and the one for bevel. I'm concerned about plastic durability for such components. Did you have any issue with that ??
I just bought this saw for $243 on sale at Lowe’s. Can’t wait to use it
Great saw, you'll enjoy the accuracy on it.

Nice, got that same saw but a Hitachi C10 RJ, a twin model.
Thank you and yes great saw, fell in love with it after I used a friends a while back.
Identical twin, in fact..........Metabo bought Hitachi, the only thing Metabo changed on this saw is the stickers with the brand name.
@@PaganWizard : it seems like the price went from $329-$400, and jumped to $570. How do they justify this increase?
The features are the same
The Metabo is 10lbs lighter per the boxes. Just got one yesterday both were at Lowes, Hitatchi would not scan.
Great machine.

Thanks for the vid. How's it holding up? Fence staying true/square?

Hello, I'm from Brazil, my dream is to have such a tool, unfortunately the brand is not in Brazil, how can I bring such a tool to me?
Unfortunately I wouldn't know detail on shipping out of the states, but think major companies like UPS and FedEx might have options for shipping out of the country.
I want one. Just waiting for discounted price.

I've never really had to switch to thinner blades nor jigs, so it really didn't click, but I'll check it out myself.
I think their might be a way to lower it completely out of the way but I'll still check.
Can u take Irving knife out ? Thankyou

You're welcome
How much and where?
Got it for around $300 at Lowe's. They usually go on sale around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
After you lock the rip fence does it still seem loose to you?
No its actually really accurate. Just fyi, I'm not doing fine woodwork like cabinets. But still accurate.

C 10RJ(S)
I find I can't get mine all the way to 45⁰
Hiw much did you pay Gil?
I believe under $400 when the specials were on. Mostly around Thanksgiving and Christmas is when they go in sale at big box stores
