Obviously not pulling enough vacuum to trigger the sealing strip circuit. Those cheap little vacuum pumps don't last long... You may feel a little vacuum, but it isn't enough to trigger the heat strip circuit...

OP didn't have the bag inserted into the vacuum channel correctly... I'm sorry but that alone lost him his credibility for repairing this sealer.
