I didn't know Ferraris were muscle cars. Just joking. A true motorhead appreciates anything with an engine and wheels.

There was a time when I bought only big block 4 speed cars. Anything else was a parts car.

Steve combed his hair with an egg beater this morning. 😉😁 lol! Didn’t really see much of the car as a whole. Need to back away a bit to get the full Monty.

Best part of the car are the Weber carbs. Best memory of a Ferrari for me took place at the BMW Historic Festival at Lime Rock on Sept 17 1988 when I accidentally spilled a full cup of Miller High Life on Peter Sachs 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO and he said to me, " It figures a guy in a Porsche shirt would do that."

I think a lot of people, especially dudes these days underestimate the use of back seats to *my* generation, when five of us could pile into a Corolla, never mind the generation those probably were made by and for. :) (Also I rather like those a lot better than Dinos and 308s. They seem simple, livable, no pretense or over-promising but I understand they move good. :))

Why wouldn't we call it a Dino when it says exactly that on the deck lid?

Surprisingly enough it seems like my transversely mounted 4 cam VVT fuel injected 3.6l V6 would drop right in there and provide more power (305hp) and probably more reliability than the Ferrari V8. Do those come in kit form? We could call it the "Gino"

Guess HOC doesn't consider entry level Ferrari deserving of a re-stitch of the tear in driver's seat. Would think re-sale value would take more of a hit than cost to repair.

2+2, a great feature by Ferrari, you can bring your mechanic with you.

  • @houstoncowdog

I wonder what would have been comparable to that car performance wise in 77, I’m assuming that car was considerably faster than a 77 Trans am with a 220 hp 400 and 4 sp? I also wonder if this car was lighter than the Trans Am. Very good video.

My father law daily drove a 308 for 2 or 3 years in the early eighties and he said it was literally constantly at the dealer being worked on. He had owned a DeTomaso Pantera in the seventies and said the Pantera was much faster than the 308 but was also extremely unreliable

@@houstoncowdog I have heard it said that Detroit muscle cars could pass anything but a gas pump while European sports cars could pass anything but a mechanics lift.
