The Sinking City 2 officially announced! Explore the flooded city of Arkham in this eerie Lovecraftian survival horror. Coming to PS5 in 2025. #ps5 #ps5games
I think my great grandmothers trip to school sounds even scarier than this. She walked through the woods barefoot and got chased by a dog with rabies and even a bull. 1930s nibbas built different.
Honestly, I'm glad there was enough for a sequel. This is one of those games that deserve another chance, it did some things wrongly, but it had so much potential. I'm optimistic.
Yeah the developer doesn't need a bigger profit but the game seem gain enough for small developer. If this was made by AAA studio they would burry and fire all the staff.
@@mr.sinjin-smythIt's either that or letting the Great Old Ones rise and destroy everything, right? So the canon one must be where he leaves for Boston.
@@Eidlonesthere was so psychological stuff though. Hallucinations, shooting at enemies that weren't there. Was definitely more Sherlocky which makes total sense because Frogwares.
@@Eidlones I’m not saying shooting at monsters makes it horror, but if you knew Lovecraftian horror its the thought of the unknown. Don’t you remember when you get the diving suit and dive to the bottom of the ocean, the sounds and atmosphere were intense af. You never knew what was round the corner in terms of happenings and that’s where the horror came in. Play with headphones and let your mind loose
Frogwares continues to astound me with how their games improve each and every time and they are always looking to do something bigger and better whilst still delivering the detective gameplay that I love. Easily my favourite developer at the moment and I can't wait to buy the deluxe edition of this on day one. It looks GORGEOUS 😍😆
Nah, unfortunately not. I read in one of the articles about an interview with the devs at Frogwares and they told the interviewer: "Charles Reed has been through enough. Another poor sap needs to take his place." Or something to that effect. I hope though, that Charles does get referenced in this sequel and we find out the canon ending to Sinking City if there is indeed one. But from the dev's comments it seems they allude to Charles being alive(?), so maybe the canon ending was him running away to Boston with the seal. 🤷
Yo what about the winking city? You get to a city and everyone keeps winking at you and you’re just like “whoa what the heck?” Hopefully they make that next
That is definitely the Crawling Chaos. Far worse than Cthulhu since the big guy doesn't generally acknowledge humans. Just eats them when peckish. Nyarlathotep, on the other hand, involves himself in human affairs...mostly to bring forth other old gods.
You know... When I was a kid I liked cinematic trailers (recorded all the FF7 commercials off the TV) but these days, would much, MUCH prefer a gameplay trailer. Cinematic trailers do nothing for me these days.
I just hope they focus on the detective gameplay and keep the combat to a minimum. I actually think a fallout VATS style combat would benefit this game and keep it more chill as a detective game should be more focused on thinking and observing than realtime action, it would create an interesting flow methinks.
How your grandparents describe what their daily trip to school was like.
😂😂😂😂😂

barefoot in the snow, uphill both ways
people still milk this joke
Haha sooooo funny NOT
Games I never expected to get a sequel
Same bro, I thought it had bad sales 🤷♂️
My thoughts exactly
I think the same

I love The Sinking City 1. I'm very excited for this sequel.
Love❤❤😻😻
I remember it was a very difficult game .. I never finished it..
@@faisal_noor There are two types of difficulty: investigation and combat. If you have problems tries to low the level.
So what's the canon ending? He ran away to Boston, a few years pass, then the great flooding comes?
@@mr.sinjin-smythIt's either that or letting the Great Old Ones rise and destroy everything, right? So the canon one must be where he leaves for Boston.
I'm always down for Lovecraftian media
Truth
a normal day in New England TBH.
Having lived here for the last three years, I can confirm.
normal day in new orleans
Im suprised this did well enough to warrent a sequel tbh.
I thought it did bad?
It didn't but there was clutch and limiting issues. The IP does have potential though
I bought it but never played it
@@Pick18 It's fine... but nothing special
I more suprised it has a sequel considering the legal battle it had
to me it looks more like The Evil Within. sinking city wasn't a horror, it was detective game in Cthulhu universe
It was horror sometimes when it came to combat with some of the Eldritch horrors
@@camzy96Creepy looking monsters don't make something horror. Many non-horror things have eldritch style beasts in them
@@Eidlonesthere was so psychological stuff though. Hallucinations, shooting at enemies that weren't there. Was definitely more Sherlocky which makes total sense because Frogwares.
Yea exactly. Kind of a genre switch there, feels a lil weird.. But then again, I do like horror!

The Riddle Bros are back on the case!
Thought the same. Hoping for more... exquisite features.
Can’t wait for them to play this when it comes out.
The Sinking City 1 was amazing. It's actually crazy that it has a sequel.
Where's my boy Charles Reed???😢
I'm hoping he is still the main character. 😅
Like most in the Lovecraft universe, he probably went insane.
So what's the canon ending? He ran away to Boston, a few years pass, then the great flooding comes?
Now only Gavin Reed 😅
Ya I like the "It's Charles Not Charlie" character!
That water simulation inside the train wago was really wonky

Enjoyed the original despite it's flaws.
Can't believe we are going to the alsume again
All hail Cthulhu! Can't wait!
Ia Ia!
I‘m very excited of the sinking City 2. we Need More lovecraft Games and Movies ❤🎉🎉
Love this game, glad it's receiving a sequel
Sinking city 1 was actually pretty satisfying
I genuinely never thought itd get a sequel. But im still excited for more lovecraft lol
1:20 Classic Missy Elliott an Busta Rhymes video😂
I hope the main character is still Charles Reed. Glad that Sinking City is getting a follow-up.
I'm wondering if the canon ending is.... He ran away to Boston, a few years pass, then the great flooding comes.
I don't think so. That doesn't look like Reed. His hair was lighter...and he was far more gaunt from lack of sleep.
Nah, unfortunately not. I read in one of the articles about an interview with the devs at Frogwares and they told the interviewer: "Charles Reed has been through enough. Another poor sap needs to take his place." Or something to that effect.

Frogwares keeps delivering banger after banger with more games loved their sherlock games loved the sinking city cant wait for this bad boy
yes!
i was waiting for this
I’m So Stoked On This, This Game Is Amazing
I didn’t think there’s going to be a sequel. Each Lovecraft video game tends to be a one time thing.
Yet they are rarely intended to be.
Instant Deluxe pre-order ASAP.
I'm glad that Frogware won the rights back to the IP.
cinematic looks nice, looking forward to the gameplay.
Yo what about the winking city? You get to a city and everyone keeps winking at you and you’re just like “whoa what the heck?” Hopefully they make that next
It's scheduled after the DLC, Stinking City, where you walk around stinking lovecraftian fishmen.
@@otherreality No no no, after Stinking City is Blinking City, where you just walk around bumping into walls.
@@RudCh01 I prefer The Shrinking City, you’ll never believe how small it gets
Hey pal nice idea! If they make that next i think they should do a sequel on it, "winking city x2: blinking city", like winking with both eyes
I just started playing 1 a couple weeks ago. I feel like Im going to be a huge fan, I need to get caught up by next year.
This going to be awesome! Honestly Frogwares should have made the Silent Hill 2 remake. They can definitely pull off the vibe😎
Lets go can Wait
I AM SERIOUSLY PUMPED! Sinking city 1 was an epic game!
Really would love a modern day version of any Lovecraft mythology games
Modern weapons would make things too easy.
Getting Alan Wake and the evil within vibes from this. Will be keeping an eye on this one for sure
Can’t believe there will be a second game but glad it’s a reality
"I. Have. Questions."
Where's my boy "Charlie" Reed?
This is what I did NOT expect to see right now!
Was that the Black Goat of the Woods with a thousand young at the end?
Hope the combat is better now.
Never been more excited for a game release
Are you the game's Dev? 🤔
This was something I didn't expect but it's a welcome surprise
That doesn't look like Chuthulu at the end. Too deformed. I think this game is gonna explore the mind-bending influences of Nyarlahotep.
That is definitely the Crawling Chaos. Far worse than Cthulhu since the big guy doesn't generally acknowledge humans. Just eats them when peckish. Nyarlathotep, on the other hand, involves himself in human affairs...mostly to bring forth other old gods.
this bout to be a trip im ready
Definitely can’t wait for this
I could be the only few people who liked the previous game so it's a nice surprise for me ..😅
Feels like Alone in the Dark mixed with Silent Hill 👍
Great trailer. Captures Lovecraftian style well
Can't wait to see what legal trouble the studio gets into this time!
I do love me some Lovecraftian horror
Yes! Yes! Yes!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I love Sinking City p.1 SO MUCH!
Look like Charles Reed running away to Boston was the cannon one I guess
lot of legend coming back for this year, so hype
Lovecraft is on the rise boys!
I’ll be waiting patiently.
I need go beat part one.
Класс! Только вот прохожу первую часть и тут трейлер второй, вот это сюрприз) 😊
I'm sunk into this sinking ocean
Невероятная графика!) Очень понравилась первая часть. И вторая , вижу, будет потрясающей.)Уже хочу поиграть)
So Deadly Premonition has some comp!? I’m curious about this series
looks like a game i would like to
Brilliant video
@CthulhuTv creo que te gustaría estar atento a la fecha de estreno de The Sinking City 2

seems crazy that TSC will have a sequel! I'm thrilled!
wow that’s a suprise
Endlich der zweite Teil
Now i gotta go play part 1
I love the direction they took this looks way better then the orginal
If those were In-Engine graphics, it looks freaking awesome.
I wonder if this is standalone or picks up where the last one left off
Very excited for this! IÄ IÄ Cthulhu Fhtagn!
we need more lovecraftian movies and games.
Cant wait
Alan Wake/Sillent Hill/Call of Cthulhu. All this in one trailer.
The deep ones, we want to see the deep ones. On a Lovecraft game based on the city of Innsmouth, they cannot be missing imho!
Pretty sure we just did.
This plays like a Futurama Scary Door episode.
As they say.. no escape the madness, but face what’s in your mind.
Looks amazing!
In case the devs are looking, really liking the change to survival horror pace. Really looking forward to this one dropping
Whats punished snake doing now ?
Cant believe this game got a sequel lol! looking forward to this one
They changed genres this will be survival horror with investigation kinda like Alan wake 2
lovecraft is the best!
It's will be a nice game.i'm so excited
OMFG YES
Just makes me want Eternal Darkness 2.
That looks amazing
Jacob and Julia will have a field day with this game.
Cant wait to watch my favorite streamer play this one
*checks protagonist* Wow, not a Kim Belair self insert! It must be okay then!
I just hope they focus on the detective gameplay and keep the combat to a minimum. I actually think a fallout VATS style combat would benefit this game and keep it more chill as a detective game should be more focused on thinking and observing than realtime action, it would create an interesting flow methinks.
Phonograph Lady kinda looking like Duda Beat?
That looks like either Shubniggaroh or Yoggsatoth at the end i most likely spelled that last one wrong.
Yes, my kind of game fosho. 👍🏽
If this is on par to the evil within I’m so hyped
Nice please keep it open world. Great game
woah!!!!
We need more lovecraft games cosmic horror please
Hope they do better with the combat system this time around.
