I've watched many bag making videos this evening and your bag is one of the most professional looking. Well done. However, I do recommend that you tack the ends of the zippers after they are cut or pin them with a safety pin so that the slides cannot slip off before the seams are finished. I have to take precautions like that to keep from accidentally ruining the zipper.

    Very nice project and tutorial.
Tabs for straps could be added to make it a cross body bag as you mentioned at the end of the video. I like to leave my turning opening on one side of the lining rather than at the bottom. It’s less conspicuous when sewn shut.

I use them for durable sturdy pouch tabs like in this one:
      th-cam.com/video/d_Rn2mviBVY/w-d-xo.html
They don’t get wonky or change shape and definitely need no folding or seam stitching like fabric ones.. care free material.. will upload more ideas for them.. I love using them..

    • @tinajefferies5682

You can buy zipper pulls on their own. If you use one end of a long zipper rather than the middle part, you can attach another zipper pull to use the smaller zip on another project. There are TH-cam videos that show how to do this. Search for adding zipper pulls. You can also buy zips by length (1 metre or more) and on a roll. You can usually specify the number of zip pulls you want. I live In the UK and buy these on eBay and they’re not to expensive. I think Amazon has them too.

I used to show every seam I sew on camera until I felt it would be a boring detail as an obvious thing to do.. yet I put in mind every beginner who watches my channel and explain everything on the actual thing I am making.. will link tutorials on how to sew side by side below 😊
      Thank you fir stopping by❤️

Next bag should have a shoulder strap or a wrist strap.

      Sure!
Thank you Amanda.. It is not less easy that adding a tap for a key ring as in a previous tutorial just did not want to add more details to this one! our next bag is a reversible one.. stay toned..

The Sewing Swan Okay, I know how, but just thought of it as an added detail for newer seamstresses.

      Hello madhavi! let me help:
6 squares measuring 8 inch each, 2 of the outer fabric and 4 of the lining fabric
you cut one square of the outer fabric into two pieces one measuring 5 by 8 and the other measuring 3 by 8 inches
and do the same to one lining square to provide lining. please let me now if you need further help!
