Hi Dan! This is Ko here. I'm planning to visit your shop this Thursday and go fishing in the evening/night. Do you think 3 or 4 pm may be a good time to start? May I stay until like 8 pm or 9 pm on your beach for fishing unless I could catch some fish before that?
Hi Ko! Any time is good it's been all different times of day for the Coho. It seems like the morning hours have been the best though and evening from 3 pm to 6:30 pm. has been okay but It changes day to day the bite. Thank you for watching and commenting see you on Thursday. 🎣

I went to the Possession Point State Park, and I was able to catch one hatchery coho salmon at around 5:30 pm! I stayed there until 8:15 pm, but no catch after that... I got a few bites, but the fish just took the herrings without getting hooked... What do you think the causes can be? Am I using too large hooks, or maybe I'm not attaching the herrings to the hooks correctly?
Is there an instructional video? How to rig? Mainline all the way to the bait?
Dan, for casting, do you use sliding or fix weight? How much weight? Banana weight?

fixed weight one oz. right now 1/0 2/0 hook can change for hooks when herring get small.

No not really the biggest 7lb. were up to 108 Coho Aug 14th only 4 coho kept and 2 kings realest to day.
