He’s so handsome and special. I couldn’t leave Denny after rescuing him. He reacted so tenderly to Henry. I fostered a few dogs and it was hard to let them go. When I make a connection, it’s for life. ❤🐕

Poor Denny! That's so horrible what (we suspect) happened to him and so wonderful that he was rescued! The adopter is doing an excellent job of training him and letting him come out of his shell. Seeing him reunite with his original rescuer is sooo heartwarming! Denny is living his best life now. ❤

@Karl with a K I think you mean “Lesson for all dogs. Don’t exist around someone with a shovel” some people like to hurt animals just for the sake of it. Teenagers and psychopaths love to hurt and injure innocent animals for no reason other that they want to. drowning kittens, beating dogs, picking up cats by their tail and the like. Did these animals do anything? No, but people hurt them all the same. There’s also the fact that he didn’t even bite his rescuers when they touched him so it would probably take a lot of effort to get this dog to bite you.
This ended up being a beautiful story. I was in tears at the end because of his reaction to his rescuer.

Anyone who’s capable of being so evil towards a sweet animal is perfectly capable of hurting their fellow man (or in many cases, vulnerable children and the elderly). Really wish animal abuse would be taken a lot more seriously by our society and the law. These monsters are harmful to us all 💔

Seems like a farm and could’ve mistaken as some other wild animal, also could’ve happened at night time so property owner might have been trying to defend who knows, but person could also have just been evil. Point is we don’t know so no need to speculate 🤷🏻♂️

Thank you to all the rescuers. I can barely look at an injured animal, let alone do anything to help it. I will never understand how some people can be so cruel to animals. People who rescue animals are a rare breed. I am awed by you.

I am soooo glad to see Denny walking around with a muzzle. Here in NYC people have dogs they think are reactive, and instead of putting a muzzle on them and proceeding to help them gain confidence and have positive experiences until they’re better, people instead use *only* avoidance for the rest of the dog’s life. The humans make the dog cross the street whenever any dog or person is approaching, which not only doesn’t rehabilitate the dog, but actually reinforces the dog’s impression that other people or other dogs are dangerous enemies to be avoided. The dog starts off fearful, then is taught that it’s human is *also* fearful, so it will be even more aggressive to protect the human who clearly doesn’t want anyone approaching. Complete avoidance of everyone is no way for a dog to live, especially in a dense city.

This REALLY made my heart do leaps of joy. What a great rescue and an amazing foster fail story! I just LOVE hearing foster fail stories! I have often entertained the idea of being a foster for our local shelter, but then I would know I could never trust anyone else with that dog. My heart couldn't take it!
My dog Bella was returned TWICE in the first 5-months of her little life. Their excuse was "she has no manners, boundaries, or self-control." When the adoption counselor told me that, I was shocked to my core. She's a PUPPY!! They aren't born with manners, boundaries, or self-control! They must be taught! So, I adopted her and told her I was the end of the line for her. She's four years old this month, and I adore her more and more each day. Did she destroy stuff? OH yeah, but stuff can be replaced over time. The love, laughter, and joy I have experienced and the love I have been able to give to this precious pup is PRICELESS. She's my baby, she's my family.

I actually met my wife at a animal shelter. I just met her and seeing her being so passionate about helping innocent animals, it was love at first sight. Never regret that decision for a second in my whole life

This channel reinvigorates my faith in humanity. Anybody that wants to spread positive energy into the world, I'd recommend volunteering at an animal shelter ❤. One of the most fulfilling things somebody can do, is finding dogs their happy homes.

Just imagine being abused to the point where you could only craw across the ground, thirsty and starving and STILL being able to trust people again. Dogs are such a gift. As are people willing to give dogs in even the absolute worst circumstances a chance for a better life.
