The Wild Robot has my money this weekend that movie made me tear up in just the Trailer I said yeah this is going to be a Special Movie… Never even heard of Megalopolis till this video… 😮 I don’t have a problem with Musicals they just need to be Good!
I'm not surprise that Megalopolis bombed at the box office because it's such a mess of a movie is one problem the film has. The lack of any type of marketing for the film because the only time I saw anything about this film was the trailer in the theater. If you ever get a change, Sue, please watch the original 1979 Salem's Lot.
I’m not gonna lie, I actually really enjoyed Megalopolis. The Wild Robot is so darn good and delightful that it’s is my top 10 favorite movies of the year right now!
So far I'm just continuing the 2nd season of Tulsa King & Apple's movie Wolfs later tonight. I'll binge The Penguin within 30 days as my next must watch. My mom is watching all those Chicago shows over on Peacock this week.
To add some context: Coppola made the film he wanted to make and did not expect to ever make his money back. He did it because he could and wanted to. He's worth hundreds of millions of dollars and only sold off a piece of his winery. This entire film is a tax write-off for him, but at least this artist made his art--regardless of public reception.
@@MoviesSue Coppola is 85 years old and he can’t take your money with him when he’s gone so why not do what he wants with the movie he earned during his filmmaking career and being winery owner. This is not the first time he’s made a huge film that didn’t do well in theaters only for people to reappraise it years later. No matter if the film is good or not, he put his $ where his mouth is and that in itself is a success.
@@cameroncloutier from that point of view, he could've donated the money to charity, the homeless or medical research. At least the money wouldn't have been wasted.
He’s a true artist. He doesn’t care what people think. He made the movie his way. All this films out there are soulless cash grabs. Coppola comes along makes a non mainstream movie. I true auteur. Thank you Francis.
I cannot blame anyone for going out and trying to accomplish their passion project. We all have that desire. But for Mr. Coppla, his biggest passion seems to have become his biggest flop. However, we've had a string of them of late. "Horizon" the big sprawling Western of Kevin Costner, and last year, Ridley Scott with his epic "Napoleon".
I've been thinking about signing up for Max for a month, so i might do that soon and check out Salems Lot. I've read the novel and seen the old tv miniseries (have it on blu ray too). I'm definitely going to check out Blood and Honey II and The Mouse Trap 😂 i thought the first Pooh movie was ok. Not a great slasher but hardly the worst either
@@cwillism you’re always in good hands with Max. Nearly every A24 and Criterion film is in their library, recent Warner Bros. movies are added very frequently, and the UI is very simple and aesthetically pleasing. If I were to rank streaming services, I would put Max at #1 right above Amazon Prime and Hulu.
Most movies we can tell what it is about by the poster. Is this about a big city? 😂 I can see why some have to finance projects themselves so their movies get made. This is no theater here anymore after covid. Not any movies I would take 4 hours off to drive to and see anymore.
Megalopolis is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I would LOVE for you to rip it apart and do a “I Hate this Movie” video about it. That would be awesome!!
Hey sue you could always get lions gate or paramount or Wb to sponsor you where you do custom ads for them and put it in your videos where you film an ad your self that goes into your video or you can do what korey does with double toasted where you stop the video to talk about the studio hell you could even go to your local amc cinemark or a local smaller movie theater and do promos for them and have them pay you that is a thing because you always let everyone know about movies coming out and you do the box office numbers on Sundays get paid for that and have studios pay you for other videos that is something that you can do for money
I'm still getting the megalopolis steelbook 🎉

I heard that Lionsgate is going to change the title of Megalopolis to MegaFlopolis
😂
😂😂😂
I am going to see Joker 2 on Thursday I can’t wait
The first Joker film was a massive disappointment and apparently the second film is worse.
@@Revolver1981 I loved the first Joker I seen it over 7 times already
@@brianbradshaw3769 I've seen it twice and it's definitely not the masterpiece people said it was. It's so overrated.

Wild Robot was incredible!

Ouch Frances! Ouch! There goes his winery

So much great stuff to stream right now!
Joker 2 is also my most anticipated movie I love the first one and I bought my ticket for the movie I’m hyped.
Me too!
I'm surprised The Substance didn't crack the top 5. I haven't seen it yet but all the showings are near sold out at my theaters.
I never use reviews people can't predict what I like
Absolutely true!

Must be nice to just piss $100M away "because he can".

I definitely recommend Max. It's one of the better streaming services, in my opinion.

Not watching joker 2.. I hate musicals!!!!! 😅 so disappointed, the first one was one of my favorite movies ever.
Wow love the new nosferatu trailer 😊
Megalopolis got a D+ on CinemaScore, not a D-
When it's so low, does it really matter? Lol
I have no plans to see Megalopolis after what I read about the fake reviews thing. Wanted to see the Wild Robot, the animation looks pretty great.
Who would’ve guessed some kids movie would end up being the better movie than a Coppola film.
Great review ❤
I guess rather watch MEGALOMAN from JAPAN...

Oh no, that's awful! I'm so lucky I have a theater so close to me.

I had no idea about this!
Another epic fail for lionsgate again.
Why can’t Lionsgate had nice things we need like Saw 11 or another Hunger Games movie?
35 is not good
Can I email a GC? I’m unsure about mailing a GC
You can put the gift card in a card or an envelope?
WOW epic fail
Read however Lionsgate is not really on the hook 🪝 for this one however ouch ! This and Horizon did badly
I wish Lionsgate should make better films that isn’t something very mid.
