There is no expectation of breaking news or some unique interpretation of what is going on in WoW.. For me, your videos were a general summary of what was going on in Wow with your own personal flair which made it fun and relaxing to watch. Your non click-baity titles and thumbnails were a sanctuary of calm in the general chaos of this platform. That said, you owe us NOTHING. Carry on, enjoy your life, create good things.
Dunno how much this will help with your impostor syndrome, but you're uniquely qualified to provide the best part of your videos: you. Your attitude Your manner of presentation Your perspective Those are the reason my wife and I watch your videos together, and why she always gets stoked when I say "hey babe, there's a new pretty wow lady video, wanna watch it?" So, we will both look forward to whatever videos you make, whenever you make them.
Same! We’re in Australia so we’re always guessing what time on a Sunday we’ll see them pop up. “Is there a new Hazel video??” So glad you’re making it work for you, and side note definitely relieved that you and the cats are okay! ❤
That first coffee on Saturday morning will never feel the same now. It was such a vibe! For the record, you were always an excellent source of information, and never seemed unqualified. Your summaries of news are always better than actually having to read whole articles. I hope you are able to find something you enjoy creating more!
Holy crap, 11 YEARS of Saturday News?! Man, does time fly. I’m going to miss them, but IRL mental health takes priority. Thanks for so many years of wonderful content. Hope to see many, many more, even if things change up a bit.
I've been watching you for probably about 7+ years now. If you are an imposter, you're a damn good actress! The fact is there are other content creators who specialize in WoW news. Sure, sometimes they're more indepth coverage or seem like they're really in the know. The thing I've always loved about your vids is that you give the highlights about what's going on, you don't bore me with too many details, and are always to the point. The best part of the videos is talking about your own life. From plants, to fish, to cats, to dogs, to fishing, to moving, to dreaming, to tea, to vegetables, to nature shirts, to hair colors, to getting glasses, etc, your vids are relateable. So I don't watch them because you're the 1 stop shop for WoW news. I watch them because I like what you create. And you can never be an imposter at being yourself. That's what I love, and I imagine what everyone loves too. So keep being you and you'll never fail.
It used to be a tradition for us to watch your saturday recap every weekend, but I totally understand where you are coming from and I'm glad that you're taking care of yourself and your own feelings. For what it's worth: they were perfect the way they were and I'm not just saying that; I think you are the only WoW streamer my husband and I watch consistently alongside Kelani. Take care of yourself! and also Hi from the Netherlands :)
Just because other TH-camrs are trying to make themselves look like the ultimate authority on anything WoW related, doesn't mean they are! I love your compact, easy to understand videos and the personal touch you add to them. You are as qualified and capable as anyone when it comes to making informative and entertaining WoW content! That said: don't go around in life doing things you don't want to be doing. That includes making TH-cam videos. So enjoy what's left of the summer, have a great time when the War Within breaks loose and I look forward to seeing (any kind of) content from you again! Wishing you all the best, L0vel0rn
You are so uniquely qualified for Saturday news because it’s YOU. - your personality - your attitude (read: matter of fact and not edgy, negative) - easy to follow, shorter format - you don’t jump on trends and make a video every time a blue post comes out - you cater to the wow base- not the most hardcore and top level people trying to min max everything - it’s lovely to see what you’re doing week after week In no way am I trying to pressure you to keep going, but hopefully this helps. You’re amazing Hazel. You’re truly one of the best in this community and I’m thankful for everything you put out.
I really enjoy your news videos, and I think your boss fight videos are exceptionally good (no-nonsense, to the point, and very thorough. By all means, take a well-deserved break!
I’m a casual player these last 8 years and I learn so much from you. Your videos are well done and informative. I can only imagine how time consuming making a video must be, not to mention weekly or more. It was very nice of you to let your subscribers know what’s going on.
Hazel, I almost never comment on anything, but I felt compelled to here. I've loved your videos over the years. You're always way ahead of the curve on WoW news, and it's always nice to see the little glimpses into your life that you share. What makes your videos so special? I think it's how genuine you come across to everyone. People appreciate kindness and honesty, and you have a personality that is quirky (in a good way) and very charming. The cute animals don't hurt, either ;). Anyway, thank you for years of entertainment and WoW news. Take all the time off you want and do whatever you need to do to center yourself and find happiness. I'm quite certain you deserve it. - Nate
We need wow news back, but we get it, you need a break now, and time to enjoy your life too, you truly deserve it. Thank you very much Hazel for providing us with so many great videos they were all awesome! We will be here waiting for when the time comes!
As an older woman playing WoW, I appreciate your weekly updates. You made it short and sweet and easy to understand. The other “big boys” in WoW updates just overwhelm me. I understand the burnt out or feeling not quite enough. Take your time. Feel it out over time. We’ll be here if and when you decide to come back. Thank you for all your time and energy over the years!
thanks for all your hard work Hazel! your channel has always been a source of positivity for the game that's really nice to watch even when the news is fairly inconsequential I still enjoyed watching them or just hearing about little blurbs about your day to day gaming endeavors or life stuff, but I also understand the anxiety and don't begrudge you for wanting to take a break till it feels more worthwhile for you
Oh my goodness, I am so mad at me that it took me so long to realize this... but I miss my Hazelnutty! I'm glad you're doing ok, and I can't wait for you to come back! It's difficult for me to find good WoW gamers I enjoy who can be subjective to the game after so long, and you're one of my favorites! Rest well, and come back when you feel up for it! :3
I loved Saturday news. Your feelings are valid but I cannot disagree more that you are an impostor. You had a unique flair to the news as a collector and you had extensive knowledge of pretty much everything about the game. I enjoyed your takes on professions and many other things. Good luck with finding your mojo back in whatever form it may be!
Hazel, I say this with truth and love in my heart: I love your Saturday news. I look forward to drinking my coffee in my office while watching your news update to start my day. I am not entitled to your labor, but I sure have appreciated it over the years. You are a very good source of information to ME, and I look forward to watching you with each new upload. Please take the time you need to recharge, but I hope you see this comment and know that I do not think you are an imposter, nor do I think you are unqualified. I love your videos.
Over the years you've become my main and favorite source of WoW info. It was your input, presentation, and voice I liked hearing. It was your raid guides that helped me get into Heroic Raiding. Without even realizing it watching your video every Saturday became an important part of my week that ngl will be sorely missed. Of course you need to prioritize your mental health, but don't think for a second that you were unqualified.
My favourite part of your Saturday news was actually just you talking about what you have been doing in the game and answering some viewer questions. If you wanted to I’d love to see more videos with just that part as the content. Do what makes you happy and your audience will follow. We watch for you’re unique personality
As a casual WoW player with low confidence, I always appreciated the easygoing, cozy, and passionate feel of your videos. I never got any sort of feeling of you being unqualified. I would often try out the content and recommendations you put into your videos and my gaming experience became a lot more fun and stress-free because of it! I also appreciate your non-WoW content. You seem like a fun, kind person and you should do what you want to do. We'll be here no matter what direction your channel takes! ♡
Thanks for the update Hazel, I am one of those, "oh good its Saturday and there should be a video somewhere from Hazel" kind of viewer. I do watch your other videos of course, I just have had a ritual of viewing your views on a Saturday. I have always found your content incredibly relatable so I do hope you eventually find your thing and will continue to keep my eye on your happenings!
I prefer the way you framed and discussed WOW updates on a Saturday to other content makers. I don't usually comment but your approach/personality is much easier for me to engage with than most others I've seen. I also should say, I'm unlikely to watch longer streams as I don't have time for that, so I do hope you find a way to stick with short content videos. Sending much love, you're fab!
Grateful for your transparency and happy that you are taking the time you need to reflect and regain your confidence and mojo! Much love and hope you have a blast with TWW launch!
I've always enjoyed hearing your view on WoW, the direction of the gameplay, the story, and so on. It'll be strangely quiet on a Sunday (my usual Hazel catchup day) until you find where you want to go with your videos, but I wish you luck in finding the right fit for yourself.
Your Saturday news were always so clear and easy to follow. There is no qualification for a good wow guide, but if there were it would be your videos! I dont have to worry about spoilers and always get up to date woth wow news. Hope you get your confidence back soon! You always seem so professional in your videos. Keep up the good work! ❤
It’s so funny. I was just thinking about you and wondering if you ever took real time off for yourself. You work hard on these videos. I especially love your raid content. I am glad you are stepping away and taking time for yourself. But I will miss you as I think you have one of the smarter, more attuned, voices in the WoW community.
Howdy Hazel! From walking me through TSM, to keeping me up to date, to your baking videos, I've always been a fan. you are calm, easy to listen to, and put a fun spin on things. Do what makes you happy and keeps you afloat. Thanks as always!
your videos are what I look forward on Saturdays 😟 you are my source of information about wow because you explain it so well for me. Thank you for all the work you do. I am also happy that you are letting us know you are doing well 😊
Hazel, for what it's worth, I can't think of anybody MORE qualified to make WoW videos. When I was thinking to come back to WoW after a nearly decade long break, it was your videos that got me excited about the game again and got me to join, and that was during SHADOWLANDS. Whatever you chose to do with your YT career, know that you've reached a lot of people and we're rooting for you and support you even if you were to chose to quit, because what you've done already is amazing.
Hey Hazel, I respect your decision to put Saturday News on hold. I wanted to say I have watched Saturday News for several expansion now. I hope you find the inspiration to continue. You're videos a delightful and refreshing. I really appreciate you as a content creator.
Hazel, you're absolutely qualified to make those news videos! I wouldn't be surprised if you were just posting too often, leaving yourself with too little to say each time. Which wouldn't be a fault of yours but rather just WoW naturally having cycles of interesting activity. You can see the effect of this on Wowhead news where they repost info or make utterly pointless fluff posts just to keep getting content out at a certain pace. Whatever you choose to do from here, I hope you enjoy it! ❤
Oh man. I've lived through the whole journey. 🎦 From the "It's almost Saturday vlog" going on with the "It's actually Saturday vlog" to the "It's no longer Saturday vlog", which although incidental I'm happy I can say I have it ticked it on my bucket list of hazel vlog watchlist too. And lately the "Saturday News". 😺 Anyways, I hope you return to making those or find a new format or something that you enjoy making regularily as like some people mentioned your saturday vlog has become almost like a routine for us, complimenting our day and something we look forward to each week. 😸 And if you feel underqualified do note something, that is hard to gauge, which is personality, which for us as human beings seems like something we don't really account for when evaluating ourselves, but it matters to others. Your personality is why all of us are here and wanna remain here. We all have our good days and bad days and sometimes we need a long long break from everything, but eventually we get to where we should get and I believe you have found your place and your place is with us, making us happy and lighting our day. And also enjoying the game, we love so much, even when we can't really play it for a long time, as is the case with me. Hope you manage to refill your batteries and spark up with a new shiny idea for something chill and cozy to do with us each week on youtube. Or whatever you like to share with us. Lastly, as it's tradition in my country, I wanna wish you good health, as everything else is achieveable if you're well. ❤
I find your analysis of game dynamics the easiest to understand. You have the ability to explain complex formulae in clear, understandable terms. I will look forward to your return on Saturdays. I am a "Twitcher", so I can catch you there... the only issue with that is, that I get the itch to play more while you're streaming. Be well, stay well and catch some fish! See you in game, on TH-cam, and on Twitch. Huzzah!
First, THANK YOU for all that you do! You add so much positivity and knowledge to this community and it’s wonderful. Second, take the time and space and changes you need, it’s so hard to look after yourself and I’m glad you can see where you need to prioritize. Third, I’m here for you as a person. Whatever you choose to do, I’m interested in seeing it. So just throwing my hat in the ring of do what makes you feel happy and fulfilled, because I’ll still be here cheering you on ❤
When your almost Saturday video comes out I genuinely click on it as soon as I see it. Not only is your content spot on, but also you are very personable which helps me take in information a lot! I'm sorry your feel like you're not "qualified" that must be really tough to battle with. My fingers are firmly crossed that they return one day! Take your time though, mental well being is the most important here. You have the support from your whole community I'm sure ❤
While I will miss watching the Saturday videos during my lunch at work, I will always support you in whatever you choose to do. You're such a sweet, caring person and your content is so good. But we'll always be here for you!
Hazel, I understand there is not much that people can say to help with imposter syndrome or the way you feel about these videos. I am a software engineer and commonly suffer from it myself. However, as many people have said in these comments, you are a unique voice in the wow community. My wife and I always looked forward to your Saturday video because it was the only wow content that we both enjoyed consuming. Your method of information and content delivery has always been nuanced, contextual and concise without resorting to hyperbole and grandiose claims like a lot of other content creators. While my wife and I will personally miss these Saturday videos, you do you and I'm excited to see what other content you want to pursue.
I have been watching you for at least 6 years after finding you through your pet battle videos. You are more than qualified to give us the news on here and on the official WOW channels. They have the nerve to use people who quit or bashed the game or in Naguura's case did both and they allow her to represent the game. You have shown more love for the game over the six years I have watched you than anyone else and you never quit. You are exactly the person I want to learn about the game from. You love it and you always try to help everyone. Please don't stop and thank you.
My Saturday morning coffee has been accompanied by your Saturday news for so long now. It will surely be missed! Love your content, hope to see a Saturday notification in our future! Thanks for all keeping us informed and entertained!
I always love your raid guides, theyre clear, concise and actually helpful even for my new raiders I know as audience/visibility grows there are expectations from yourself and perceived but you do what feels right for you! Your content is good because is not an imposition. I Sometimes listen to your videos and Kelanis for your voices, I find you both calming and positive. Also I think that for some reason the whole community seems to be feeling wowed out, the end expac blues is hittting harder. Do make sure to pace yourself, i dont think the bulk of your audience would mind you trying new things❤
This was legitimately my main source of wow news, because I liked getting it in a short, concise way, rather than sift through endless wowhead articles. But I totally get this feeling, hope you keep doing what feels good!
You will be missed but sometimes we need to retreat and recharge, reinvent ourselves, find new goals. Pls stay in touch and let us know how you fare. It was often less about the game than touching base and see what someone else was up to :) No one is "an expert at WoW" lol... just relax and be you, that's all that mattered at least to me.
I found your channel during covid and became a regular watcher after that point, because it was nice to see another woman in the wow scene. Your raid guides helped me find some confidence in the game & now I'm aiming to run mythics for the first time this upcoming xpac. I really appreciate the work you put into the community and hope that whatever you do next, it is fun and engaging for YOU! Thanks for the content you make, take a break, don't burn out. No pressure and no expectations here, we watch these videos for free :]
I found your channel at the beginning of Dragonflight. As a returning player at that time, after not playing the game since MOP, I loved your boss videos for Dragon Flight. PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON THESE!!!!! I'm looking forward to them for The War Within. They are quick and concise and the layout and format is perfect. Love when you point out and highlight some of the mechanics that need to be paid attention to. The Saturday News was a ritual for me. They usually came out at 9AM my time and looked forward to them to catch up on the latest news, as I didn't check anywhere else for news. They all were so great. I think you are very well qualified to make the videos sorry that you have imposter syndrome from them. They are the top of my list of videos that I look forward to every week, to sit down with some coffee and breakfast and watch the videos. Looking forward to whatever you have planned.
Ah, thank you for making this video to explain it to us, even though you don't owe us anything. I have been wondering where you have been and you are one of only a handful of people I watch for WoW stuff. Heck, you are basically the only reason I would open TH-cam on Saturdays, haha. Glad all is well, and we'll be here if and when you return to WoW news. Enjoy changing gears and I hope all continues to go well for you!!
Hazel, you are a wonderful person! I will miss your Saturday morning Talks. I do feel you are one of the most positive content creators a game like Wow could have! I hope you find what it is that will help you in your future adventures as a content creator! Please know you are loved. May you find the JOY you have brought to many of us. :)
There are several people doing WoW news on TH-cam, but I think the unique value that you brought to it was your news videos were always very concise and focused on the things the casual WoW player needed to know. I don't always have the headspace for a deep dive into some feature or another, but appreciated hearing about things like currencies I need to spend before they go away. Anyway, thanks for your years of service in that regard, I'm looking forward to whatever you do next with the channel. 😃
Thank you for doing the news videos as long as you did. Your calm, sensible take was always a welcome change from the drama and negativity so common to other news sources for the game, it was a pleasure to watch even though I was generally already familiar with the topics you were covering. I look forward to whatever you decide to do in future and hope you find something that makes you happy. Best wishes, and if I may for once, I hope you find a way to have a wonderful, wonderful day.
As a person who (perhaps obsessively) checks Wowhead, MMO Champion, and Icy Veins, I never watched these for the specific news blurbs. In fact, your channel is the only WoW channel I actively watch to because it's positive (within reason, when it needs to be), insightful, and entertaining. I'll miss the chill news roundups, but I encourage you to find whatever you want to post. I'll be happy to watch (and my raid and I will definitely be enjoying the guides!) Thanks, you are appreciated!
While I agree wholeheartedly that you should do the content that you enjoy, I also really hope you are receiving help regarding imposter syndrome. Like you already said, it's a confidence issue. You have earned a spot anchoring a news channel. You have decades of play time and produced excellent raid videos. You've interviewed the game director, one on one. You've participated in small panel group discussions. I do not know your entire breadth of your work but I recognize someone who has years of expert knowlege in a field. I've listened to you answering people's questions over the years and though I didn't agree with all your answers, I never thought you didn't know what you were talking about. I'm sure all your peers and developers you have worked with would strongly disagree you haven't earned a spot to give your take on WoW news. I hope you listen to your colleagues, you have a lot of gravitas in the World of Warcraft, even when your hair is purple, haha. Take care of yourself!
We thank you for your help and guidance. Don't worry about keeping up with things on a regular schedule. Do what you feel relative to making videos and we'll be happy about that, trust me. Best wishes.
MAGAZINE STYLE I like your opinion pieces. Lots of channels do NEWS - patch blah blah, devs yada- and that kind of roundup takes a lot of time yet can be boring. Your magazine style (this interested me, what I’ve been doing, ooh look a mount!) is for me more engaging. No matter, I hope you find your way back to your creative heart. ❤️ Thank you for your caring and honesty.
Totally understandable! These days WoW news feels like it changes drastically each day and I'm honestly surprised a team like Wowhead for example can even manage to keep up with it let alone one person. For me I'm less into staying at the cutting edge of information (unless it's guides for things I'm actively participating in), and more into enjoying your content for the personal perspective and vibes. Get some good rest and recharging in and I am looking forward to seeing whatever you put your energy into next!
Out of all the times I listened to you talking about WoW on Saturday, I have never, ever, once questioned whether or not you're 'qualified' to talk about the news. It was nice listening to you and I was interested in what you had to say, so I subscribed. That's all there is to it.
Totally respect the vibe and understand feeling like an imposter. You are such a terrific creator and unique in your chill coverage of all things Wow and gaming! Excited to see what you work on next and can’t wait for the raid guides
Take the time you need! I've always watched you because I liked your presentation and overall vibe, and your takes have always been a great insight. As someone who often feels the same way about art and content that I make, I totally understand, and hope you can find that spark that brings you joy again.
As a one time hardcore player, now a player that is probably still considered hardcore if for no other reason I have 33 level 70's, I can say that I have never considered you to be an imposter. Your content helps those of us who are looking to figure things out with quick, concise explanations. You have indeed been a part of Saturdays, but I am happy that you are doing the things that matter the most to you. You have many, many fans, we will be here.
Congratulations for navigating this moment of growth. Doing something the same forever is not required. I'm not an extensive user of your content; I am the 'in the moment of doubt user' who turns to your content for preparation, help, interest, ideas. Happy to know the channel is embarking on the new expansion ride and I know I'll be viewing your content!
Your mental health is more important than pushing content out that doesn’t sit right with you! Thanks for explaining this and letting people see that we all struggle at times and that is ok ❤ I hope you are well and I will try to catch a stream or two (also can’t wait for the raid guides, yours are always my go to)
:O it was a ritual, your videos are to the point and your tone is always so polite and cheerful, really looking forward to hearing your videos for WW dungeons/raids. I do understand and hope you get a "I miss making wow news videos feeling soon" :D
AWW Hazel, thank you so so much for all the content you've done! You're an inspiration to me and many others and you've helped thousands of people enjoy wow. Sad to see Saturday news on hold, but I hope you get the time and peace to recharge and find your direction in life. Much love to you and your family, and hope that you have a wonderful, wonderful day :)
every time i came back to wow after taking longer breaks, your saturday news were the one thing that brought me up to date. i will miss them but at the same time it is good for you to leave it be if it doesn't feel right 💕 take your time and make the content that makes you feel comfortable 💕 i will definitely keep watching your streams/VODs
Just to add my two cents, i adore your content here on TH-cam. You’re always my go-to and fave WoW TH-camr. Primarily because of your attitude and how happy it makes me. That in addition to you serve the news in a palatable manner where I don’t feel overwhelmed or angry (in case of nerfs). And also kitties 💕
Your guides and commentary are simply fantastic; no-one else manages to make content that perfectly compliments my WoWing, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Don't lose heart!
Your videos are the best! The cleanest and most informative in plain language without a loy of excess 'stuff' to sit through. Imposter syndrome is a bitch. Tell your head to back off, the rest of us think you're great! Creative burnout is a real thing, so you take some time for you, and we'll still be here. 😊
thank you so much for feeling like you could be vulnerable with us! please take care of yourself during this time, and rest assured that you are totally qualified to bring us the WoW news of the week. I have enjoyed watching your videos sooooo much!
I liked your Saturday news to keep up with what was going on in wow while I was taking a break from it without having to overstimulate my brain with walls of text. I liked your style because it was low key, to the point, and your voice doesn’t annoy me … no offense to other creators, I’m just a very particular person. My brain often plays against me and some accents or voice cadences can be grating on me and make it hard to focus on the information being told to me. Even my own voice annoys me at times. That being said, take the time you need. You can’t be at your best if you aren’t feeling your work.
Not qualified? Hardly. You are wonderful. Been watching you for 8 of those 11 years. You have to do what you need to do. But my hubby and I watched you every single Sat. You will be missed. You and Soulsobrezzy are our Sat. go to vids for WOW. Be happy and enjoy life. That is all that is needed. See you on twitch!
Hazel, you have been so super consistent with the Saturday news so far. I have been in awe sometimes that you managed to keep up with everything for years and years. To me, it feels only natural that there has to come a time when a creator needs to change things up. That is how the creative process remains exciting! :D We sure will miss the weekly wow news, but we can't wait to see what cool stuff you will come up with. ;-) You go girl!
Oooh so exciting! I support wholeheartedly that you do you! We loved Saturday videos yes, and we loved them not because we loved NEWS necessarily, but we loved them from your filter, and whatever you try, we'll have a look, and speaking for myself, like. I hope you too have a wonderful, wonderful day!
Well needed break , thank you for everything you have done for this community and I am sure the Saturday news will be missed. You're a rockstar you will do amazing with whatever you decide to do going forward.
My Saturdays are going to change now but I am looking forward to your continued content. I'm thrilled with whatever content you give us, especially the raid guides!!! Love your streams!
I'm sorry to hear that lack of confidence. It was really the one source I used for a weekly wrap up. You gave us the news in more a layman's terms. I appreciate you.
It's been missed! But I respect the need to do content that resonates with you and not go through the motions. I left wow from Cata until late BFA so it's content makers like you that helped me wrap my brain around how the game has changed and what I'm doing. Between work, kids, and life I really don't have the time I had back then but you've kept me up to date on news so I can hop on and play when I have time. Love your content! Keep up whatever feels right!
this is super understandable! i always enjoyed your weekly news roundups but at the end of the day there are so many places to get wow news - looking forward to seeing what you make in the future :) i really enjoy your videos focusing on pet battles, collectibles, etc and i feel like you bring a lot of knowledge to the table in that regard! whatever you decide to make i am sure i will enjoy it :)
Thank you for all these great Saturday mornings with my coffee and the wow news of the week! I will miss them. Don't feel like you are not qualified for those, as you totally are and will be missing those videos!! ❤
I've been watching every weekend since BFA. Your round-up was truly one of the best, because you've always kept it light-hearted and positive. It was always great to hear your perspective. I feel you've been representing a large, silent part of the community: the mid-core players. We love to collect mounts and pets and we play this game as a game. You helped us with check-lists and answered important questions every weekend. I really hope you stick around, since I believe WoW truly needs a creator like you! Maybe we can have a monthly update, or going from patch to patch. Maybe a "What's new in WoW?" segment!
Love your videos and your saturday news, it's the thing that often keep me updated. That being said - take care of yourself first, rest, recharge and have fun. 💜
I second this! I simply enjoy your take on whats going on in wow.
You’ve always done an awesome job! No pressure though - it’s easy to sit and enjoy all your hard work … but nothing like the stress of creating ❤❤
Nicely said! ❤
I was going to write a comment, but this summarizes it better! Exactly how I feel as well.
Couldn’t have said it any better.
Dunno how much this will help with your impostor syndrome, but you're uniquely qualified to provide the best part of your videos: you.
Your attitude
Your manner of presentation
Your perspective
Those are the reason my wife and I watch your videos together, and why she always gets stoked when I say "hey babe, there's a new pretty wow lady video, wanna watch it?"
So, we will both look forward to whatever videos you make, whenever you make them.
Not to mention honesty (including sugar coating the sometimes questionable actions of Blizzard) about WoW.
Same! We’re in Australia so we’re always guessing what time on a Sunday we’ll see them pop up. “Is there a new Hazel video??”
So glad you’re making it work for you, and side note definitely relieved that you and the cats are okay! ❤
I agree.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
That is so well said and my sentiments, too ✨✨✨✨
That first coffee on Saturday morning will never feel the same now. It was such a vibe! For the record, you were always an excellent source of information, and never seemed unqualified. Your summaries of news are always better than actually having to read whole articles. I hope you are able to find something you enjoy creating more!
👍🏻👍🏻
Well said!!
I second this
Holy crap, 11 YEARS of Saturday News?!
This. You are so wonderfully relatable.
Nailed it.
Take care of yourself! and also Hi from the Netherlands :)
rest, recharge, recalibrate, recombobulate, whatever you need! ❤
- your personality
- your attitude (read: matter of fact and not edgy, negative)
- easy to follow, shorter format
- you don’t jump on trends and make a video every time a blue post comes out
- you cater to the wow base- not the most hardcore and top level people trying to min max everything
- it’s lovely to see what you’re doing week after week
In no way am I trying to pressure you to keep going, but hopefully this helps.
You're definitely qualified to do this. We love you firstly before the game so we also love hearing the news from you and how you present it ❤
thanks for all your hard work Hazel!
your channel has always been a source of positivity for the game that's really nice to watch
even when the news is fairly inconsequential I still enjoyed watching them or just hearing about little blurbs about your day to day gaming endeavors or life stuff, but I also understand the anxiety and don't begrudge you for wanting to take a break till it feels more worthwhile for you
Oh my goodness, I am so mad at me that it took me so long to realize this... but I miss my Hazelnutty!
Thanks for sharing and being vulnerable and real with us. Best of luck with the changes coming!
There is one word that qualifies you at the same level or above all others: Authenticity
Oh man. I've lived through the whole journey. 🎦
From the "It's almost Saturday vlog" going on with the "It's actually Saturday vlog" to the "It's no longer Saturday vlog", which although incidental I'm happy I can say I have it ticked it on my bucket list of hazel vlog watchlist too. And lately the "Saturday News". 😺
Anyways, I hope you return to making those or find a new format or something that you enjoy making regularily as like some people mentioned your saturday vlog has become almost like a routine for us, complimenting our day and something we look forward to each week. 😸
And if you feel underqualified do note something, that is hard to gauge, which is personality, which for us as human beings seems like something we don't really account for when evaluating ourselves, but it matters to others.
Not unqualified at all. Don't try and make the videos perfect. Don't edit much. Just be you. That works for you am sure and will work for us :)
Your postings have always been intelligent and very articulate. Good luck in whatever direction you decide to go.
I always love your raid guides, theyre clear, concise and actually helpful even for my new raiders
I know as audience/visibility grows there are expectations from yourself and perceived but you do what feels right for you!
I always come straight to your videos for info and guides, you do incredible work and are more than qualified ❤
Sorry to hear this, I don't know many people that are more "qualified" to do this job in an enjoyable way than you :) Best of luck tho!
Whishing for you to find internal peace no matter your path. Thank you for sharing your struggles.
I always love your videos.
Enjoy changing gears and I hope all continues to go well for you!!
thanks for your honesty Hazel, you are the real deal
Going to really miss watching the Saturday News. No one did it as good as you.
I loved saturday vlogs, or any news related videos from you because you are very good at presenting information, it's concise and easily digestible.
If it helps your imposter syndrome you are the only WoW video creator I actually like and am happy to watch whatever you decide to make
We thank you for your help and guidance.
Hazel you are the best! Please take care of yourself and your happiness. Sending love!
I look forward to your videos every Saturday and your raid/dungeon guides are second to none. You are amazing at what you do.
Going to really miss your Saturday WoW News of the Week. Loved your positive look on things, your so refreshing! Good luck on what your moving on to.
AWW Hazel, thank you so so much for all the content you've done!
You're an inspiration to me and many others and you've helped thousands of people enjoy wow. Sad to see Saturday news on hold, but I hope you get the time and peace to recharge and find your direction in life.
Much love to you and your family, and hope that you have a wonderful, wonderful day :)
aww I love your Saturday shows, but completely understand, always here to support you!! You are amazing and awesome!!
every time i came back to wow after taking longer breaks, your saturday news were the one thing that brought me up to date. i will miss them but at the same time it is good for you to leave it be if it doesn't feel right 💕 take your time and make the content that makes you feel comfortable 💕 i will definitely keep watching your streams/VODs
I'm going to miss so much saturday news. I love your content. Thank you for all these years!
I will miss your Saturday WoW News videos. (Until they return. 😁) Take care and rejuvenate! 🤗
Cool, take all the time you need, you rock, we'll be here for you! Thank you for providing years of great content and very helpful information!
I actually love how grounded you sound about your goals for this channel.
