Hey there. Firstly thanks for tutorial. Quick question. Following your tutorial, everything works apart from sega rally 2. Sega rally 2 works when I test in pc though. All I get is a black screen via steam deck. Anyone experience this?
Sega rally 2 needs a slightly higher clock speed to run well on PC so perhaps it’s preventing it from running AT ALL on Deck. All I can think of if it’s working on PC
Do you think the fact I already have supermodel installed from before emudeck is why the files etc aren’t showing up in the roms folder? And perhaps linked to the reason why games exit to steam is when I press start in them?
Exiting when pushing start. Are you playing in desktop mode? If so start is the exit button. Hold start to disable this. Alternatively play in gaming mode.
Took me ages to find that config file. My guess is it's because I've no microsd card installed so my files are in a different location. A hidden folder home/.supermodel
Will give this wide-screen solution a go now. I wonder if there might be setting in this file to make Lost World work. ie no huge bright reticles for 2 players and can't shoot off screen to reload.
I must have done something wrong. I updated Emudeck and installed the model 3 emulator but my roms folder for model 3 doesn’t have any of those files or folders in it. It’s just empty except for the system info. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and no luck.
Excellent tutorial! All other Sega Model 3 zip files work fine except Star Wars Arcade Trilogy upon opening a black screen appears and nothing afterwards, any ideas how to repair the zip? Thank you in advance

@@VideoGameEsoterica Problem solved - you actually need the UNMERGED rom set as confirmed by the Emu Deck / Supermodel documentation, also a particular version of the set is recommended.
@@VideoGameEsoterica Emulation Station is great since you can keep thousands of emulated games separate so they don't clutter your Steam library. The gui is very slick and makes it like a console

@VideoGameEsoterica Thank you. Also, I found out what the issue was with the game speed on model 3 games. The framerate is tied to the refresh rate, so OLED model users have to turn it to 60 to avoid the game running faster.
Can you please help me? I can get the games working on Steam, but I can't control anything. The only two buttons that work are the start button and the B button, and they both just exit the emulation. I also can't get the emulator on its own working, that doesn't even open. There are no extra steps. It should launch RetroArch into the game. So I’m not sure why you are seeing what you are seeing
Is there a way to modify the sensitivity for the left analog stick for Star Wars Trilogy ? Kinda goes way too quick.
You can change analog settings in steam deck settings
some of the roms dont work on my steam deck starwars, virtua fighter 3, virtua on 2 and virtua striker i just get a black screen any ideas there? everything else works great
You need a diff set for Deck in spots
@@VideoGameEsoterica any hints?
I might google archive unmerged rom set
Thank you sir, how about model 2?
Saturday video will go out
Im going to try and get the Android version of Emudeck installed on my hacked switch and see if i can get Model 2/3 running. I just havent bit the bullet yet i know its going to be a pain to setup
I haven’t tried that yet. Lmk how it goes
Why would these games work on desktop mode in steam but not on game mode?
File path issue more than likely. Uninstall and reinstall the model 2 emulator and try again
@@VideoGameEsoterica thanks! Have we figured how to enhance the resolution on model 2 and 3? Amending the ini files doesn’t do anything at all.
I don't know if anyone else has this issue but on my steam deck I have emudeck installed and ive been trying to get the the fast forward option to work on retroarch. the game get stuck after fast forwarding and when i turn it off it crashes.
I haven’t experienced that but I can’t remember the last time I used fast forward either
You need to change stretch to 1 also and then it's in full screen
I’ll have to check. I don’t have stretch enabled in windows and it’s always been proper 16x9. Odd
i cant get star wars trilogy to launch anyone else having this issue? Daytona USA 2 and scud race run fine.
For some reason, after the emudeck update, there's no vita emulator when I go to rom manager. Has this happened to anyone else?
I’d have to ask around
Anyone know how to add a game to SRM without it resetting the artwork to existing games within the same emulator on the Deck?
Anyone know how to get model 2 working ?
Also a way of re adding yuzu
Basically, how do we get model 2 working
And where to get a copy of yuzu and add it back in
Thanks
Yuzu should not have been removed. I’ll have a Model 2 tutorial next weekend
Sir can you please make a new video on how we can play our switch games without yuzu
Maybe in the future
@@VideoGameEsoterica ……PLEASE for the love of GOD WE NEED YOU!!
I’m waiting to see how it all shakes out
Why is this video unavailable may I ask?
It’s unavailable?
@@VideoGameEsoterica yes it says video unavailable when I click on it.
Odd. I tried. Totally fine
Just tried again. Seems fine. Maybe your local server is down? Not much I can determine from my end
@VideoGameEsoterica hmm ok that's weird. It's the only video of yours I've had that issue with.
Thanks for trying
I'm still trying to get star wars trilogy working
I believe it’s a rom set issue
@@VideoGameEsoterica any clue where I can get a good one. Downloaded so many versions and just can't get it working... Jurassic park lost world works perfect
Super GT keeps looping on no network connection
Go into the test menu and set the cab to single from master. Buttons 5/6/7/8 will control everything
@@VideoGameEsoterica lol and how to access test menu?!
5/6/7/8 haha
@@VideoGameEsoterica what the heck is 5678 on a steamdeck
Use the virtual keyboard. Press the numbers 5, 6, 7, or 8. This will get you into and let you navigate the test menu. Open the virtual keyboard by holding down the steam button and pressing X
Sega Rally runs too fast. Star Wars Trilogy controls aren't quite right. Using the touchpad to aim is useless.
Have you got a peg on your nose?
A peg?
Do you own all those games? Mr "I have the real hardware and can play it anytime on my PVM" or are you just a pirate locked in the closet?
My closet doesn’t have a lock on it. So it’s easy to escape. You almost got first comment through. Better luck next time!
Bro everybody who isn’t an idiot pirates everything so who gives af. You’re already paying for internet you square.
He'll better be throwing quarters into his own arcade machines at home or else I'm getting the military involved.
🤣
@drnobrazil how do you say loser in Brazil? Oh that’s right, loser!
Thx 4 the video, but when I launch scudrace I'm unable to change the board option and after " cancelled, network board not present", emulator remains in the loop and the game doesn't start. Any help will be appreciated
Go into test menu and set it as single not networked
Try a different file. Skuda works. Skud doesn’t. Skudplus works so long as you also have skud in your roms folder.
Also how do you access the test menu out of interest?
5/6/7/8 on the virtual keyboard
