Also a trick I learned from my coach: you can predict where a ball is going to go based on how the receivers hands are positioned. From there, as setter, you can get a small headstart toapproaxh the second touch or if it comes from your enemy, predict which player it's going to (setters may set certain position depending on the quality of the pass). Hope this helps
Woow okay, I’m not really a setter, but still I am curious and excited to learn about even the tiniest things. I must say, that’s a nice trick! Thank you so much for sharing :D
Thank you so much! I'm really into Volleyball and I love it a lot and I want to be better as well so your videos really help! I have learned so much from you!
Hi Coach Koko! I have a very important question that Is stressing me out everyday. whenever I go to volleyball camps I get very stressed out and scared playing with people that are more skilled than me. But whenever I am alone I play so much better, when I find my self stressing out I just try to keep my mind off it but it doesn’t work, how can I stop stressing so I can play at 100%?
My advice to you would be that, there’s so many other people that have anxiety as well playing volleyball, especially when during tryouts and that you’re not the only one. You got this, truly believe in yourself even around people. Volleyball isn’t just physically but it’s mentally as well. I hope this helps, you got this ❤
I know you commented this a while ago but just wanna say height doesn’t really matter as long as you’re able to keep track of all of the players and be aware at all times during a game. Height can play an important part sometimes but if you think about it, if you have a super tall person but doesn’t have the abilities a setter needs, then you wouldn’t have them as setter. As long as you can set properly and know what to do in a game then you can be a good setter :)
