Epson P700 vs Canon PRO-300. Is one better, or just different. Which suits you printer needs?

Is one of these printer better or are they just different? How simple comparisons fail and how to decide which one might be best for you as a high quality photo/art printer.
Both 13" printers but is it right to consider them in some way equivalent beyond the width and use of pigment based inks?
