Brilliant thank for ALA insurance, got it today for my jaguar xe r-sport 20d , rang Them be for i dived in, but brilliant so thanks my friend brilliant
123. What a brilliant Video, Will. This is really eye opening and reassuring to people who might always go with MDs because of perceived security/peace of mind. I will 100% use Wraptor should anything go with mine. He seems like a fantastic chap and very very trustworthy. Again, fantastic video - well done!
My injector went in cylinder No1. I thought the worst at first. Went ( recovered) to my local specialist job done. Easy fix. See you soon Dudley for a supercharger service 🤞
Dudley managed to fix a couple of issues on my Jaguar xf-s in 2 days, I was previously waiting nearly 3 months for parts to show up and Dudley Ginn had it sorted in 48 hours. Handy guy to know is Dudley Ginn, gets the job done when others can't. He also done a lot of tuning work on my F-Type, good company is Wraptor.
@tootalltodrive they are on the slow side when it comes to parts and repairs Jaguar main dealers. Plus the money they charge just steer clear when it's possible.
Had my calipers painted and y pipe changed by Dud.. will be coming back to him for future work and certainly for the injector(s) if and when they fail!
Hi Will, I think your eyes are open now to the fact there is a fantastic network of specialists accross the UK such a Wraptor and dedicated injector removal companies. We often don't hear about them, as the garage will sub them in to carry out the delicate works on their behalf. A new car will come with Mfr warranty, but will drop to a JLR approved plan from AXA or ALA or similar. An indy specialist thrives on good service, technical ability and customer care, so you can see how your problems can be addressed and rectified in a timely manner.
Yeah. I will be looking to make the switch when the Jag comes to the end of warranty which is March time. Saves money and means I’m not going to be without my car for 4 months!!!
123, I am in the US and have a great independence in Staten Island NY 12VoltDoctor with Joe Augustine as their main mechanic for Jag’s . 12VoltDoctor. Do you ever sell your parts and tools? Thanks.
123. Always go specialist as soon as possible, especially if a car is over 3 years old. Dealers are a nightmare, even if you have a warranty. Look at the whole summer you have lost waiting on your car, it's crazy!
Hi the problem we have in this day and age . Is main dealers are basically fitters . Not mechanic's as we used to have . As HGV driver the people that fix our HGV's are fitters . Anything goes wrong you pay for the defective part fitted . And as of parts you may need say a fitment but you can't buy that you have to pay for the whole item Which you only need a part of . Gos to say fit the whole part , plus main dealers don't want labor intensive jobs. And the best way to get out of that is over price the job ?. Good luck my friend, hope all goes well and you get back on the road soon ?.
Tell you what mate, I’d change my main dealer. I never had that kind of problem with the one I use. Having said that outside of warranty there’s a lot to be said for the Jag specialists.
'123' Great video Will, we need more like this and great collaboration, Wraptor has a great name and I have seen his awesome work. I never win on raffles so don't buy into them. Somebody will win though & that's great.
Interesting but I don’t understand why you think the previous service was responsible for the injector failure, recently had my 5 litre F type R AWD serviced by inch cape Norwich and also include replacing oil in both forward and rear differentials , replacing auxiliary and supercharger belts , replacing tyre foam kit which was out of date and an MOT bill was£1060 quid which I thought was OK
It had a service less than 100 miles before which cleared the car to be no issues. So either the service wasn’t done properly or it was caused by them. Either option they f***ed up
My XJ spent a total of 13weeks off the road with warranty issues in 2yrs, and the issue was never fixed…sold it and bought a Volvo. JLR customer service were no help at all 🤬
Sweet mother of God - are you sure they actually charge 4k for just the injector? I had an injector fail on my V6 a few years ago and the whole repair, parts and labor, were less than 1.200 Euros. In Germany. Apparantly, they managed to not snap the thing, but the injector part was certainly a lot closer to the 500 bucks you showed first in the video.
@@tootalltodrive Sorry. It’s just the way things are. Jaguar replace things with oem parts certified for use, while their engineers go on to design new cars. Aftermarket specialists see common faults as the car gets older and out of dealer workshops and develop fixes that are cheaper and better than the failed part.
@@AndyK.1 No need to apologise. Yeah fair enough, I think Dudley as an ex JLR employee, he did highlight a lot of issues but the C-Suite didn’t give a 💩 until issues arose.
I thought historically Jaguar did stress test models before releasing, especially as their biggest market was the USA, which has many diverse climatic differences within the country. So any short comings would have been picked up by the stressing etc. Perhaps pre-Ford era this was true.
@@tootalltodrive I don't know so much matey ; who's to say the MD won't cods the job up anyway , I wouldn't trust them - been there / done that etc etc . If your MD is giving you reason to doubt them - in any way - move on fast . You've got a specialist there , ready and waiting . Not telling you how to suck eggs , but that 10k quote should be in the Guiness Book of Record Shaftings .
123 your still being too nice with Jaguar. You need to go legal and go for your losses and inconvenience. You are not able to use your ftype for your you tube channel. Good luck.
Does make you wonder how these dealers keep going, prestige motor cars, thousands for warranty a year, months to turn round jobs😩 Why can’t they do what Lexus do, service your car with them once a year and get a full,no limit warranty on your car in with the service price, for up to 10 years,oh and my Lexus RC-F has never gone wrong, love Jaguar F-types but watching this I’d never buy one🤷♂️
RC-F is the thinking mans F type. Almost the same level of theater but much more reliable, Lexus really do make a lovely vehicle. Wish they had more petrol only models, hybrid CVTs do nothing for me!

Yeah they said it was because of the snap they need to take the engine out for the repair etc… They just don’t know what they are doing it would seem…
