Yoo wrangler star I love your content man! Been subscribed a while but can you explain the animosity towards these East coast women…I mean men? Lmao 😂
I’m happy to see your success, and I’m proud to be a supporter, but I will say that I miss the “good old days…” when I felt like I could relate to your circumstances as a “homesteader” learning as you went. I found great value and inspiration in the content you made. Now, I struggle with envy and disillusionment. Which I realize are my own failings, but I feel compelled to share. Best wishes in all you do.
He tuned into a pompous a hole really. Holier than thou, calling kids raised without a dad, bastards and isn't humble at all.
I agree with you. I liked the channel more when it was more relatable and down to earth.
I don’t know if I would describe it as value for money. But, it looks insanely well made. If I could afford a $1000 stool, this would be the one I would buy.
Standing never seemed so sensible.
Its around $600 on their website
I’d imagine it’s the only one you’d find
If you are going to sit in something for ~4 hours a day over 5 years $1000 is a steal. Even better if its made this well and you can expect 10 years.
$625 is the price for this chair (the most expensive one) and it has free shipping. As Cody mentioned, made in America and if it lasts for years then it could be money well spent. I have been eyeballing these but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
I work in a machine shop in Wisconsin and we made the aluminum parts for the center of the chair.
That’s awesome
Glad your doing well but during a time when a majority in this country are struggling to make ends meet it’s hard to get excited about a your chair.
When I was a teen my grandfather asked me if Levi Strauss was paying me to wear their blue jeans. I asked why and he said if I wasn’t getting paid they were getting free advertising due to the tiny tag on the back pocket. It caused me to change my thinking from the jeans were status to me being a promotion for them. He was the ultimate entrepreneur. I learned a lot from him - mostly great information.
what about the not so great?
They went woke, l
Returned several pair,
Never bought from them again
🤷🏿♂️🤔💯🤮
@@rickreese5794 I haven’t bought any Levi products for decades because of their societal stances. That conversation was in the mid 70’s.
@@tabithiajones2511 He was an interesting person with a lot of baggage. However, he made a soul-saving decision on his deathbed.
I don't wear any clothes that display advertisements for a company (and that includes sports teams) unless I have an endorsement deal with that company. Sneakers being the exception because you can't buy decent sneakers that do not have a logo, and few people notice your sneakers anyway.
I can't wait to see an update on this in the future and hear if you actually think it's worth it. Based on the build process and quality of everything, I would guess you may lean towards "yes." Where I'm at in life, and just my overall attitude of "good enough will do until it won't" for particular items, I'm not sure I could ever see myself buying a shop stool for this much money. I'm confident I could comfortably run through 30-50 dollar stools for the rest of my life and not come close to paying as much as this one.
You know its quality when it tells you what tools to use and doesn't come with the junk wrench or hex key. They assume correctly that Proho would be buying it. Nicely done.
“Why companies put big branded stuff logos on their stuff is beyond me.” Says the man with his logo all over everything in the shop.
@@jackjohnson291nope
It’s his brand on things he owns.
I have a small business. I have my branding on things. And I don’t question when other products have brand logos because I understand marketing. He doesn’t complain about the Milwaukee logo. Or the snap on logo. Or the amsoil logo. Or the CAT logo. I could continue to list all the things in his shop with brand logos…so why is this chair any different?
@@gnomeandpine5678 The chair is different in so far as he paid for it, and specifically asked them to not put the logo on the backrest.
I don’t recall what has his branding on it, but I didn’t see anything but the chair in there. However I don’t doubt it
The cat getting comfortable by the fire was nice to watch.
This video exists so that he could buy a cool chair and get a tax break on it.
"Well Played! Well Played"
That's how fortunes are made, it's a shame when people are crucified for working honestly within the tax system. You see it all the time when politicians are accused of not paying taxes....some investments are tax free.
Its pretty easy to tell from comments who has a job and work for the man and those of us who work for ourselves and understand the system.
@@mooreremodelingthe system is broken
My father uses one when working on cars for family, probably one of the nicest gifts he's gotten. He seems to like it.
As a woman and nurse, I never learned to do such things, watching your videos gives me the chance to learn something. Can you do more how to videos? I want to purchase a small tractor, but nit sure the best to purchase, something old or something new?? Thanks.
Yes I can, give me your top 5 topics,
As an established man, among the strongest people I knew as a youth were women. Therefore I view some of WS's opening lines in his videos as an insult to accomplished women.
I'm getting my next chair at GOODWILL 🎉
I own one and was immediately impressed with the quality as well. Excellent product.
I especially love that with all the hate comments on the kitty, you show her on camera even more, hahahaha.
That is the best way to deal with hate comments.
i find it interesting that you can't understand why companies want to put their own logo on their products while insisting that your logo be on them.
He paid for his logo to be on it, they didn't pay for their logo to be on it.
How about you cover over the Ford emblem or how about the Honda emblem on everything you own?
That cat reaching for you at 7:40 killed me 😂
Priceless
I have assembled like five of these. They are incredibly well made. Worth the money if you are wealthy. Use a bucket if you’re broke, it works too.
I dont know what im more shocked at... the beauty of a shop chair? Or the fact not a drop of locktite was used in this video
He used it all on his toupee.
@@Isaac_5.56x45hairpiece
Had locking nuts he said
pretty sure those are nylon locking nutgs
One needs extra lockiness!

Why do you keep the brand logo on your toolbox visible, but cover up the chairs brand logo?
🤔
833$? The opulence is strong with this one. Now we need to be shown a 23,000$ radio coms system.
Welcome to the Vyper family! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and for showing so much appreciation for the thought and work behind our products. We hope you love it for years to come! 🇺🇸
I'm sure he would if you sent the proper back rest for it
the only channel to watch 2 parts mailbox, and a shop chair assembly. Well done sir, well done. God Bless.
Longtime student of the Wranglerstar shorts.. First time witnessing the equally masterful long form videos.!! Definitely as imperative to a man's health as the veggies our wives and at one point in time our mother expects us to eat..
Quick fix I've learned over years of "debranding" products, you can stain the white threading with leather dye to match and its hardly noticeable, same with covering logos with electrical tape on electronics... my 'tism demands it.
Doesn’t understand people who support their teams on their clothing, but he makes videos about every piece of clothing he and his grandpa ever owned. (Just razzing. I enjoy the content.)
I did notice most of those things you’re talking about don’t have a massive brand logo on them?
"Their" teams?
Love the content! But will NEVER spend that on a chair!😂 I will just keep buying vintage chairs at auctions 😂
No doubt an impressive chair... but I mean, my USA made Crafstman roll-around was less than $50 (in the late 80's).
Now on those brackets that you say are laser cut could have been water jet cut just as precise!
$1000 on a shop chair?! I like well made gear, but wow
Thanks for the great content.
I am glad to see you are wearing shoes again..:)
I noticed the 10mm socket was missing
Do you peel the Ford decal off of your truck?
Babe wake up! Wranglerstar posted again!!
Looks decently made, but I expect my $1000 chair to come... assembled.
I enjoyed assembling mine. Same one as Cody's, and it wasn't $1000, more like $600.
Or at the very least with disposable versions of the tools required to assemble
Cody recently bought stock in the word "skookum" and is racking up those royalties in his latest videos 🤣
Office Max and Depot have some killer chairs.
Nice chair, just curious as to why you didn’t put duct tape over the Snap-On logo while you’re at it?
ill stick with my 2 milk crates held together with zip ties
I think logos can be a good thing. It’s putting your name on your work. There some brands you buy because you don’t think they will put there name on trash.
Very informative top to bottom. Thank you.
came for the chair. stayed for the cat. 10/10
Packing peanuts are often made of potatoe starch. Throw them in the sink, rinse, and they disolve down the drain
The best part of that chair was those directions. Those were quality directions.
Have 2 of their chairs they are the best shop chairs money can buy, EXPENSIVE but worth every penny, I don't mind paying more as long as it is quality which it is.... Cody enjoy
OMG the cat reaching for you...HAHAHA 7:38
Complains about branding on things….puts the Snap On logo towards the camera. 😂
My hypocracy knows no shame,
Same here. That made me laugh. Thanks! @@wranglerstar
I can't wait to see some updates at the 1 month, 3 month, 6, and so on.
I've had two for aver a year. One at home and one at work. They are just as awesome as they day I bought them. Money well spent if you can buy once/cry once. You will never need to replace it unless you want another one.
Mamma cat pawing at you while you were assembling was awesome. “Hello I need attention” LOL!!!
Cody--If you don't have a Snap On 1/4" round head ratchet THNF72, get one. You can thank me later.
“I don’t understand branding”
“Look at the branding on there, that’s pretty cool”
Never change Cody.
I usually wear clothes with no logos. If I buy like a Dickies brand clothing, the logo is the first thing to go. I usually cut them off.
Must be nice to have a 1k chair. How nice for you.
I can't wait to see the standard issue US forest service print version
Best toupe on the interweb lol! Love your content.
Would a guy buy/endorse a $1000. Dollar shop chair , if he really believed in “the coming struggle “! I don’t think so.
His outfit he wears in every video is $1500
I would say yes...POV.
I too believe we have a serious struggle coming. I believe its going to change everything.
Yet, everyday I have hope that I am wrong so I get up and run our two businesses with hope. Just like Cody, I also spend on nice things especially if they help me. Spending money now to upgrade the shop on wheels.
This is Cody living in his hope he is wrong.
@@mooreremodelingI don't think a $1000 chair could be justified as something that helps him, honestly looked like a regular chair but more uncomfortable with a completely unreasonable price tag, just say it how it is, he bought it because he thought it was cool and has the money for it but nothing in this video shows anything you mentioned in your comment
@@mr.tactown.253 whats amazing about our country is you are free to have that pov. You are free to think its worthless for him to buy a chair that he will likely use many times a day on his homestead until the struggle stops him from using it.
You are free to watch or not watch his content.
You are free to help him make more money to buy more worthless things by watching and making judgment comments. What a fantastic freedom we are lossing.
What channel do you run, so I can see how you are preparing? Maybe I am watching the the wrong guy.
@@mooreremodelingsure pal
the sound of that polystyrene rubbing together is a NIGHTMARE!
Watched your journey for many years Cody. It makes me happy to see how blessed your family has been from what your collective hard work has provided to where you've got the resources to indulge in something like a $1K shop stool.
Lol drawing proho on it was savage. 😂😂
been running over 100 channels for over 10 years and you are a great marketer, keep up the good works my friend haha. The consumers are definitely in for a treat haha
I lot of thrifty viewers here. $1k for a quality chair is the price of popularity. Of course I have a vintage step chair in my shop. I don’t spend much time sitting anyway 😅
My lovely wife gifted a Vyper Robust Pro stool to me for XMas, Awesome stool. Gave it the zip tie torture test dumping about 50 on the floor, scooted over all of them. Good bunch of guys up there in Green Bay, WI....
Happy new year
A grand for a nice sofa maybe. But a chair like this is just not important enough to me to justify that much money.
I love the East Coast banter. Still doing it. 😂😂😂😂😂 🙏🙏🙏
I’ve got two in my shop and find myself spending more time in there as a result. Perfect stools. American craftsmanship. Well worth the price.
I bought the short viper. Works perfectly at the height I need to work on my dirt bike.
I'm guessing that pink ratchet is standard issue for West coast "guys" ...
Bingo.
The logo change was classic 😂👌
While this is a pretty cool chair / stool I’ll be honest I will use this chair as my prime example when explaining what “diminished returns” mean to me.
Looks very well made, and I’m sure it’s sweet, but in my state of life, $1000 is better spent on things for my family, like food stores, improving the homestead, and brass/lead for pew-pews.
Trying to focus on “the coming struggle” instead of luxury items…

No Lock-Tite on the bolts?
We have really nice chairs at work. They adjust all sorts of ways. Lol, we had to install a rub rail on the wall because we were all against the wall. Leaned back and sleeping.
A good chair is worth it.
I could use some stool softener right about now.
i like how he uses a microtec to open the boxes and cut tape. then uses like a 2$ box cutter for everything else.
Using your roller stool to build your $800 roller stoll is kind of hilarious
Everybody's so excited when it says made in the USA but a lot of times it's made with foreign steel
I have one of these but the mechanics model. It is an awesome chair and was worth every penny just in the joy of assembling something that was obviously made with pride. Mine went together just like Cody’s. Every hole lines up perfectly. It is funny that my wife bought me the chair and said that I pay that much for an office chair and I sit on this nearly as much. Nice review. Buy excellence and only buy once!
Love seeing a stunning made in America product.
Looks well made, but an aluminum nut? that's not going to last long. Might want to put some oil on it if you adjust it a lot.
What the hell are you talking about aluminum fasteners it's high grade steel didnt you hear him say 5 and 8 grade bolts.
@@FishingAfterDark1 lol wtf. I was talking about the nut that the seat screws into.
Proho
5/16” bolt = 1/2” wrench
1/2” bolt = 3/4” wrench
For BOLTS under 3/8”, add 3/16” to get wrench size (9/16”)
For BOLTS over 1/2”, add 1/4” to get wrench size (3/4”)
Wrench accordingly.
Hmmm, I've never heard of that brand. VERY robust looking. Ima get me one. 😎
You may not be aware, but I am a faithful follower of yours and I am a female… You always address “gentleman” in your videos … Just thought I’d let you know
Have a “Knife Day” 😘
Should the bolts that go directly into the aluminum pentagon shaped hub be coated with anti-seize or was that not aluminum?
Also, I checked their site and I believe that chair is more like 650.00 bananas. That is one sweet shop chair! Looking forward to future updates.
I just got one of these chairs for Christmas and I was blown away with the quality!!
What about the OneWheels (under the desk at 0:33)? Do they get much use? Do you like them? Who in the family is using which?
Happy New Year and best wishes (from France)!
Wow 1/2 inch bolts and grade 8 just beautiful American Made with American Pride
look at those staples just great.
I'm glad you like it. If you had never said a word after you first sat in it, your body language would tell me that you just cannot get comfortable on it.
Can't get enough of shop projects
We tried to get my job to buy these for us in the welding shop but they said thy were too expensive. They then went and bought $1000 desk chairs for the everyone in the office. Meanwhile we are using broken stools we have welded back together with no cushioning on them and no casters. I'd never buy one for my shop but multimillion dollar companies should have no problem buy stuff like this for their employees to use.
As a person with a little expierence in the assembly of printed material, books in particular, that instruction manual speaks volumes let alone all the hardware that is used to assemble this chair. I can see why they would be putting their logo on the chair, they are clearly proud of what they have made. The manufactured in America thing is a bonus but realistically for most men I think it is a bit pricey. However its impossible to deny the quality on display. If its my money I just need something to get the job done and im willing to sacrifice quality as financial availability is not my strong suit and I think most average men would agree in this regard.
Love those Stirling engines….
Never thought of it like that about the logos. I got a lot of second hand clothing and thrift store stuff.
I was always wondered about those stools, it look pretty good thanks
What....no thread lock??? Who is this imposter!!
Actor Al Lewis once said that if you wear somebody’s logo without being paid, “You were either somebody’s tool, somebody’s mule or somebody’s fool!”
American made, and great quality chairs!
